2x - have fun at the Hannah Montana dance party! I will warn you... some of her songs are pretty darn catchy. Perfect for your funky moves.

Donna - my girls love the Rainforest Cafe here at our mall, but it is the one WDW place I refuse to set foot in. I don't go to the one here either, we just look at the fish tanks & the robotic alligator. Emma's dad (who Lyzzie now calls Mr. Pants-On-Fire) worked at RFC for a long time and I can't even look at their uniforms or smell their food without being flooded with bad memories. Too bad, because I used to really like the place.

April: do NOT freak out about the DDP and sharing. Do NOT pay any attention to the people on the Dining board freaking out about it. I have used it I think 3 times now, and it's easier than walking. Seriously. You have x amount of credits, you may use them any way/day/for any one you wish. Want to share a meal? No problem. When it becomes sticky is when people use their kids credits (purchased cheaper) to buy expensive adult meals. Which I am guilty of. Lyzzie just does NOT eat, and I almost never order her anything. So... we did a couple extra meals. No big deal, really. Although some people on the DIS will throw a fit about it. Then again, sometime I order ONLY a kids meal and we share that. Every receipt will tell you at the bottom how many credits you have left, and you can get a printout at your resort's front desk any time you want. I think the people who freak out about the sharing have never used the DDP and don't really understand how it works.
Thanks, lyzziesmom. So, if we wanted to share do we just say, "We'll be sharing this meal. Could you bring us another plate?" Do they look at you funny? I doubt we'll do this but if we're stuffed or something it'd be good to know we could and how to go about it. Thanks for your help with this. :goodvibes

YM:: That's a great outfit! :thumbsup2

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Sat. December 2, 2006

What is your favorite Christmas song????
I have several favorite non religious songs. Here are just a few that I REALLY like: I want a hippopotamus for Christmas sung by Gayla Peevey. You can hear it right here :teeth:I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas and Snoopy vs. The Red Baron by The Royal Guardsmen and finally one of my grown up favorites. . .
Baby It's Cold Outside even though it doesn't mention Christmas at all, they only play it at Christmas. :confused3 But, I really like it.

My favorite religious Christmas song is Ave Maria. The bridesmaids and ushers at my wedding walked into this song.

Donna:: This part of the message isn't for you :cheer2: "Go Nathan, Go Nathan!!" :cheer2: OK, now back to Donna I do not have Vonage but I do have AIM. I always forget to sign into it. Silly me.
Anyway, I'd be glad to share my username with you. :teeth:

Well, North Carolina was fun. We actually went to a nutrition seminar ( :lmao: ) today. Then we stopped and had fattening food and I'm drinking a mixed drink right now. :smokin: (I'm not smoking though but this guy looked "bad")

Now, we're in for the evening. That's about it for me.

Linda - with the weather that we've got here, your cruise pictures were REALLY making me long for another cruise. Not fair!!! Love the idea of doing land sea if Erin's choir gets to do CP - but she told me today that the jazz choir is supposed to go to NYC next year - I don't know if that means Disney is out, but I'd bet it does. :( I guess I'll just wait till she's a cast member. She REALLY wants to be Belle (imagine that!) but I think she'll be very happy to be part of Voices of Liberty - she's been entertaining that option lately.

Lyzziesmom - not only was she very late, and they finally broke down and induced me on the 26th - then she was 27 hours of labor, and my *bleepety bleep bleep* OB wouldn't do a C-section. Insisted she be delivered natural. Not a good thing for her. Not a good labor/delivery for the impatient....
I hope the NYC trip doesn't mean the CP is out too :guilty: !! Erin would be an awesome Belle :cloud9:

27 hrs of labor :faint: here I thought 16 hrs was bad :rolleyes1 but unfortunately that required another surgery that I finally had last year. I was off work for 3 months for that :sad2: He either never reconnected all the muscles or they were torn shortly after being released. Now I'd have to have a c-section no matter what if I were ever to become pregnant again. Sorry if tmi pozey ;) My sister had her 3 kids w/in 3-4 hrs labor. Must be nice!!! But the one things is...they're worth every bit of it!!!

lyzziesmom...sorry you couldn't get a sitter. I'm sure it was nice to get to know some of your other co-workers a little bit.

favorite wdw restaurant... wow that's a hard one. I'd have to say at this moment Le Cellier. we've eaten at several of the nice places. I haven't been to Victoria and Alberts since 97....but I don't think I'll do that again. just way too fancy for us ;)

2x... not a fan of creme brulee much anymore... I'm so sorry :goodvibes I love  it!!!! thankfully I did manage to figure this out when the torches were cheap :woohoo: Kenny loves it too!

April, lyzziesmom is right. the sharing really isn't a big deal. and people here throw a hissy about sharing credits w/kids  Kenny and I both are very small eaters and we shared several meals. Face it w/an appetizer, entree and a dessert..that is a LOT of food. You can't share at buffets and character meals though. Just an fyi ;) be careful and enjoy your trip. I use to only go to the cruise board. Boy was I missing out. I lurked for a few years before even joining in.

favorite christmas song... hmmm maybe "its beginning to feel a lot like christmas"

2x, I think you're right. I think we should just make our adr's for later so Donna can join us at Le Cellier ::yes:: The last time I called they had an 8 or maybe 8:30 pm. Would anyone have a problem eating that late? I know we wouldn't. we ate at Ohana at 9pm before.

lyzziesmom...no sawdust in poor Emmas soup. I think that's a man thing sometimes. :confused3 not pozey of course ;) I'm the same way...go to the parks that are primarily the least busy. that is too bad :guilty: Kenny loves Rainforest Cafe too :teeth:

if its easier to communicate... I don't have im but I'm on my email quite a bit. lindakmonty@yahoo.com

Oh, April, they brought us a separate plate to share no problem... we just told them we were paying for the extra drink oop.
when were were there in April for 10 nights we had so many snacks and things left I bought meals for strangers just to use all my credits up :goodvibes hey, we paid for them... Kenny ended up getting sick so we missed some meals... I wasn't going to let them go to waste!

Cliqueless Question of the Day:

(inspired by 2x's Brown Derby review)

What is your favorite WDW restaurant?
For the entire family.....this is an easy one.......Whispering Canyon. We've always had a great time there. It fits our family perfectly. We are a fun-loving, good-time-having, swing-your-napkins-in-the-air kind of family.

For a more quiet, intimate kind of place......I would say Artist Pointe.

awww, thanks Pozey!! Do you mind me asking what entrees you enjoyed?? As I mentioned, I loved the Cobb Salad, of course, and the seared scallop/pork, and the chocolate cake, but would love to try a different main course. Any suggestions??
I am a steak lover, so I usually order the char grilled Filet. DW has had the grouper before and I have tried it and it was very good. She's also ordered the Mahi and it was excellent as well.

And we almost always order the grapefruit cake. :thumbsup2

Good choice pozey, I'd forgotten about Whispering Canyon! Hmmm, maybe we can work that one into our Feb trip too, it's so fun.

Linda: Everyone who has kids hates me. I was in labor with Lyzzie for 4 hours, and with Emma just over 2. I only had to push twice. I kid around that if ever have another one, I will need to get to the hospital a day early! My OB and the delivery nurse both said Emma was the easiest birth they have ever seen. (No stitches with either one, either.) Sorry if that's TMI for anyone.

April: Yes you can just tell them you are sharing. Just imagine as if the DDP is a gift certificate for a restaurant, that's pretty much how they treat it. I think of it as having prepaid for the meals, they really don't care what you do with the food, the DDP is simply a way of paying for it. I don't even look at the DDP posts anymore because they drive me nuts, they really do make mountains out of a molehill.

We never had any credits left over, especially when Emma came with us, because if Lyzzie or I didn't use the credits, I would get something for Emma. We did have an unscheduled extra meal at Concourse Steakhouse on a night we had originally planned to do CS at POP. We ended up somehow with a few extra snack credits - mostly because it was Lyzzie's birthday and CM's kept giving her snacks for free! A word of warning: Entenmann's donut boxes must travel horizontally unless you enjoy a box full of mushy donut crumbs!!

All this talking about food reminds me that it's time to feed the kids. I'm thinking this would be an excellent night for pizza. Emma has a cold, I gave her Benadryl & she has been crashed on the couch for a couple hours now.

2x: nice job on the QOD!! It's much more difficult to answer when I don't know what the question will be.

I have not updated the Xmas card list, but plan to get to it either late tonite or sometime tomorrow. Don't worry, it'll get done!

You sound like my sister. shoot, they had me in all these different positions to push and push and push... my sister was getting MAD... Kennys heart rate would drop during every contraction :sad2: she was getting furious that he wasn't just going to take him c-section. He was too busy w/4 women delivering about the same time. Grrrr. Not good at all. I woke up at 2am in labor... 5 days overdue and took a shower, took a bath everything they told us to do...I woke up the x around 6am got to the hospital right at 8am...an hour drive from home...and he was born at 5:51pm  Then I stayed up all night hold him in disbelief...like a kid at Christmas. The most amazing thing ever. :cloud9: No stitches :faint: lets see...what was the WORST episiotomy (sp?)... 3rd degree...4th degree???? he cut me the worst possible. my sister is the same..if she had a 4th...she wouldn't make it to the hospital in time. pixy dust for Emma feeling better soon :grouphug:

pozey you are right...WCC is awesome!! I love WL  even though I did get married to the x there

Hi, gang!! :wave2: Not much going on at my house tonight. DH and Nathan are downstairs, but it was too cold for me, so I came back up. I popped some popcorn and put on Snow White.

lyzziesmom:: I finally broke down and bought "Once Upon a Christmas" yesterday!! we've had "Twice Upon a Christmas" for a couple of years.
Sorry to hear you don't like Rainforest Cafe, but I can understand why not.
I hope Emma gets over her cold soon. :goodvibes I'll have my pizza with everything but anchovies, Thanks!!!

Linda:: Now you know what I told you about LeCellier ADR's, young lady!!!(shaking my finger) :teeth: I won't get into a cyber-arguement with you, but changing the times really aren't necessary!!!!

Hi, pozey!! :wave2: I had almost forgotten about Whispering Canyon!!! That would be a blast for sure!!! May have to go study some menus.

Today for lunch we ate at a new little cafe that has a St. Louis Cardinals theme. I thought of Pozey, knowing he was a Cardinals fan!!

:wave2: Hello all!! :wave2:

I'm not going to try and catch up. You have all been very chatty lately.

Nothing much going on around here. Matt had an appt today to get another script for his meds. The doctor couldn't find his file. Our last name is Cawley, well a lot of people try to add Mc to it. Apparently that's what happened but I didn't realize that until I went to pay. They had been looking in the M's instead of the C's. I told him all of the side effects that Matt dealt with when he started this med. Of course he looked aghast at me and was like,'Why didn't you notify us so we could change the meds.' I just stared at him a full minute and said I called you 3 separate times with no response, finally someone called and said to wait for this appt. :furious: He looked away then and did the 'oh, well then...' He gave Matt a script for new meds, with a coupon to get this month's supply free. He also gave me a back-up script for the meds he took last month just in case we don't like how the other ones are working.

Blake called today. He is staying at the house of the man who works for him. Ron is retiring shortly, which is why Blake made the trip. His cell won't work there. And Ron doesn't have a computer connection that Blake can use. Apparently there is a card in Ron's computer that just grabs the internet out of the air. At least that is how Blake explained it. :confused3 So I can't even send him an email. I have Ron's numbers in case of an emergency.

He will be leaving there sometime tomorrow. And getting home Monday at 4pm So I will head to the airport after school to pick him up. :cool1:

Oh let's see I am far behind the QOD.

What was it? Favorite old ride... had to be World of Motion. I loved how you got in the ride vehicle inside and then went outside before reentering. I loved riding it at night. You would come outside and see Spaceship Earth all lit up. I got the best pictures that way :yay:

Favorite Restaurant....the old Coral Isle Cafe in the Poly. The Kona Cafe replaced it. We ate there all the time when I was growing up. When we were little we always got the Minnie's Menehune, which was spaghetti. Then we would get the Maori Chicken. I have the recipe and have made it at home before. I need to try it again.

Favorite Christmas song....Little Drummer Boy. I just love that one.

Have a great night everyone!!

 yeah, I remember :teeth:
Mike says we can eat there at 4 and 8 :rotfl2: that is the one place he said he would eat at twice in one trip. we ate at Narcoossees, Yachtsman, LTT, CRT, Donalds breakfastosaurus, Concourse, Chef Mickeys.... and he liked LeCellier the best. I'd like to try Cal. grill someday. I hear a lot of good reviews about that place. Maybe in 08.

Hey there Michele :wave2: wow, I'd be pretty ticked about the meds too. After 3 calls w/no response :furious: I'd be flaming too!!! I sure hope he has better luck w/the new meds pixiedust:

I wonder if he's talking about wireless internet? I have that for my laptop. it grabs it from a router here...

!

Linda...I like the idea of a late Le Cellier PS. The 4:00pm might even be too early for me(if I have any delays). What time does Donna's flight get in?
Donna, remember it's EMH on Friday at Epcot....so you will have plently of time to walk off your meal. :tiptoe: We could have a couple of reservations and let someone cancel when it gets closer??

ETA....oops I didn't see Donna's post before I responded. :confused3

Hi, Michele. :wave2: Wow, it's a shame you had so much trouble getting in contact with Matt's Dr.!! Hopefully the new script will work better for him! :thumbsup2
Yeah!! You heard from Blake! I know you can't wait for him to get home.

Hi, YM!!! My flight gets in at 5:30pm. I'm not worried about eating late because of my figure, believe me!!! I'm just more concerned about the kiddos. :goodvibes pirate: princess:

Pozey...I guess you are not at the game since you posted today. Do you ever go to the bowl games?

I have a phone or cell phone or email for feb plans?

DznyFan, lyzziesmom, YourMajesty Linda.... Oh, the stories we could tell about the birth of our kiddos!!!! :rolleyes1 My water broke at about 1am; got to the hospital by 1:45am and Nathan was born at 11:45 am. Was it a coincidence that the Dr. had office hours until 11:30am!!! I think not!!!! :furious: I had an epidural, labor wasn't really that bad. My biggest obstacle was that I was going through this for the first time in my life at the age of......cough.......cough............. 42!!! :scared1: :teeth: At least he wasn't late, but about 3 weeks early and only weighed 6lbs2oz. :goodvibes

As for planning the Feb trip, what I usually do is check the UG crowd calendar, check the park hours, and first decide what park I'd like to hit on each day. Then I make my ADR's based on where I plan to be. That helps to minimize the travel time. One time the ex-MIL planned all the dinners, and we wasted several hours per day traveling to/from meals. I think we will all have hoppers, so we can hit EMHs if we want to without being stuck at a busy park all day. I haven't done too much planning for this particular trip, because I'm the type who either wants complete control or none. I think this time I will tag along, but I'm just sharing my strategy.
I have a subscription to TGM. I really like TGM so what we usually do is what you do w/ UG. We scour TGM's website for the best park days, and also decide which park to do in the morning and then afternoon. And then we plan our ADR's from there. I have an annual pass so I can hop :Pinkbounc , hop :Pinkbounc , hop :Pinkbounc all over.
