Hi all, thought I'd pop in over lunch.

I think the your should report Kenny's dad to the judge and to your lawyer. I would also document what kenny said happened just in case you need to remove visitation rights later.

Gracie was determined! That' s too funny, although now repairs have to be done.

Lesa-- hope all turns out well with the van.

Well, I've gotta go run some PTA errands for my sons school. :moped: I have to keep reminding myself that I'm the one who volunteered to the president this year. Lord almighty what did I do? Oh well, it's all worth it in the end. I'll try to pop back in later.

Another “pozey” story……

This week is “Grandparents” week at the boys’ elementary school. Each day, grandparents are encouraged to come have lunch with their grandchild on their respective day. Today was the day for Chase’s class. Tomorrow is Colton’s turn.

Well, unfortunately, the kids only have 1 set of grandparents still living. Both of my parents have passed away. And since DW’s parents live about 2 hours away, they can only come to one. Last year they went to Chase’s lunch, this year, they are going to Colton’s.

Chase was a little upset, so I told him this morning that I would come eat lunch with him. As long as he wouldn’t be embarrassed since I am not a grandparent. He said he wouldn’t be embarrassed.

So, I went and had lunch with Chase. It was nice. They had tables set up in the library so that everyone did not have to sit in the cafeteria with all the kids. It was nice. They also had 5th grade students as helpers who would bring drinks and cake. Colton had been one of the helpers the past couple of days, but wasn’t today.

I was so happy to see how happy Chase was that I came to eat lunch with him. One small vent though………the lunch itself was pretty good. However, the carton of orange juice was some of the absolute worst orange juice I have ever tasted!!

Oh, and as I was telling my 7 year old 2nd grader bye right in the middle of the hall………he asked for a hug……AND a kiss. Makes me feel good. :goodvibes :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Donna, thanks for the bagels. I did have mine with some honey walnut cream cheese. :thumbsup2

2xcited....I'm not planning on getting my P&P( princess: & pirate: ) ticket until I get there. Even buying it the day before will get you a discount...or at least that is how it worked with MVMCP. The only risk would be a sell out...but on a Monday that would be slime. At least that is my thinking. Also, I will watch the "thingy" in France with you as many times as you would like as long as we can sit down. One of those you have to stand up...is that in Canada or China...or maybe I'm making it up. I've never seen any of them except the one in America. Oh...hope your Dr appt went well and you got the info you needed...most of all I hope you have good outcomes with your treatment. :goodvibes Oh...DS was terribly itchy but he's 95% improved. Just his elbows seem to have some lingering rash....and a few places here and there.

Hey...just want to let you guys know I did have a physical therapy appt today so I took the well wishes too. :)

Pozey, DznyFan, and DisneyMomOk( :welcome: )....are we going to blow away? I wonder what the wind chill is? It's only blowing 40mph here. On the noon news I saw up to 67mph in some places. :sad2: Sharon...please stop by and post anytime. I'm one of the Tulsa metro folks...Owasso area. :cheer2:

Lin...I will take the cider recipe too...that sounds like a great idea. Are you caught up on your sleep?

Linda...goodness...poor Kenny :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I just hate that he has to go through all this. I hope your lawyer has some good solutions to keep this from happening again. Lots of luck, prayers and a little pixie dust never hurts. pixiedust:

Lesa...I hate dealing with car stuff...you are really getting the run-around. Hope it's all figured out soon. Gracie sounds like my first dog. She would somehow climb out by using the gate latch. She was always proudly sitting on the porch when we would get home (except for the time her leg got stuck in the gate :sad2: )

Nicole...Welcome Home I do like your new signature. Hey...I've got a great idea. Take DH's $500 winnings and go book a room at POFQ for 2-2 through 2-6! ;) Glad you had a nice trip. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Angela and Amber.... :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :dance3: Donna where's you suitcase from Ashley's trip. :rotfl:

OH...Michelle...great story..... :rolleyes1 poor pozey too much estrogen on this thread. ;)

Hey Ashley...

lyzziesmom...DO NOT overdue it girlfriend! I envy your energy level... ::yes::

Well...I need to take a break.... :wave2: to anyone I missed.

ETA: keagansmom...hope everything goes well the DH's second interview. pixiedust:

Tell me about it!! It is WINDY!! Weather.com says it is 48 degrees with a 25 mph North wind, making the wind chill 40 degrees. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

I think a kite would get ripped right out of our hands! This is crazy. Talk about a bad hair day, and our power is flickering here in the building now... Oh, boy, better brace myself for mad tenants calling me if the power goes out. Like it's MY fault.

Lawyer strongly advised me to call childrens services...so I did! I explained about this weekend and everything that's happened that I could think of and my reason of concern...she said I'd be hearing from them so they could formerly investigate the incident. she could hardly believe 1/2 the stuff I was telling her. As long as it means my child will be safe from that pos... than that's what matters! Sorry..had to vent! That's a call you never want to make but at the same time... I want Kenny to be safe and I know what he is capable of. :sad2:

pozey that's awesome about Chase :cloud9:

Lesa...sorry I had to laugh about Gracie. I think you should hire her out and make some $ off her Gracie the escape artist :teeth: glad your battery is under warranty but what a bunch of crap the other dealer tried to pull!!!

2x..how are ya doin?

Dznyfan...you can't control the weather :confused3 ;) I know all about tenants calling  but they did have a good reason to call when a tree fell in the ice storm and in front of all 4 garage stalls...they couldn't get to their cars :rolleyes1 thank goodness we have a chainsaw :cool1:

keagansmom...thanks. you're right..its all about documentation!

Angela..that's too funny about the dr appt. I saw your post and edited mine to wish YM good luck too b/c I thought you must have caught something I missed :rolleyes1 :rotfl: but we can all use some well wishes anyway!

lyzziesmom..I know what you mean. I didn't get a penny for the first 2 years after I left him  we'll see what happens. that c/support sure does help, but I learned not to count on it.

I better go tell Mike what I just did...and my mom... but had to come here first :ssst:

Linda, big bear hugs for Kenny! Hope it all works out for you.

Lesa, what kind of dog is Gracie again? My aunt and uncle have a miniature pinture that is an EXTREME escape artist.

Here is the tea recipe for everyone that wants it, its in the 2006 Southern Living Christmas Book:
1 cup lemonade-flavored iced tea mix (country time).
1 cup orange-flavored breakfast drink mix (I''m thinking Tang powder?)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teasopoon ground ginger
Makes 2 cups of mix.

To make tea place two leaping tablespoons mix into one cup of boiling water and stir. Serve with a cinnamon stick.

I'll admit, I haven't made it yet but plan to!

I have caught up on my sleep...for now. I am terrified of next weekend...it kills me every year and I spend the next month trying to recover from that one weekend.

So, my sister is getting married on December 29th and I am throwing her a lingerie shower instead of a bachellorette party the night before the wedding. We are having a terrible time coming up with games to play. It wouldn't be that hard but she wants to invite all the female relatives, so both of our grandmothers will be there, plus a million aunts and both mothers, plus the typical group of girlfriends. We cannot come up with games that are appropriate for the entire group and won't be embarrasing for anyone! Ugh. Ideas anyone?

DznyFan....can you imagine someone having pitures scheduled for today...like fall outdoor pictures at Woodward Park? :rotfl: Talk about a bad hair day. So DznyFan...if I have any trouble with my electricity...I'll find YOU. :rotfl:

Howdy to pozey, DznyFan, DisneyMomOk, & YourMajesty. I'm an Okie disney freak too.

YourMajesty--I am a graduate of Owasso High way back in 1988. Are you from that era? :teacher:

Michele:: That is HILARIOUS about the school's principal!!! Just don't understand why the men didn't laugh. :rolleyes1 Having seperate clasrooms for English; would that be legal? :stir: Not trying to start anything, but that does seem a little weird. Just wondering out loud.

It is legal as long as it isn't required. There are 4 sessions a day of each academic class. 1 for girls, 1 for boys and 2 mixed classes. They would not put any child in the gender specific classes unless parents signed off on it. And they are just studying it right now. Another school in this area is doing it and some of our teachers are meeting with them to see how it goes.

DH calls me after an evening of playing cards and drinking and says "Hi hunny, how's you day?"

At least David called you last night! I still haven't talked to Blake!! :furious:

Linda...I'm so glad you called someone about your EX. That's inexcusable!! :furious: :furious: How dare anyone treat a child like that! I'm glad they seem to be taking this seriously!!!

Pozey, I'm glad you and Chase had such a nice lunch today! That was sweet that he asked for a hug.

I did the dumbest thing today. I was cutting an apple after school for a snack and was holding it wrong. Well yep the knife slipped and I sliced my left palm!!! It isn't deep, but man did it hurt!! So now I have this big bandage on and I just feel stupid

Getting ready to go to the HS for the girls basketball districts. I love sports :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!!! :wave2:

oh...Michele :guilty: I hate when I cut myself. I have a few scars from doing that :rolleyes1 Hope it isn't too bad! My mom :sad2: always had to climb to put stuff above the stove...she'd put her knee on the stove and well.... one time the burner was still hot... NOT good... I was just little and remember her passing out and hitting the floor. she has a huge scar on her knee from that. Thankfully my aunt was there to help!! Good luck and thank goodness for neosporin.

you guys are right...we're so lucky to have Mike in our lives now. Tonight, I get home after a stressful day...he told me to go relax and chat on the DIS... as he's reading MY child a book :cloud9: as if that isn't sweet enough....he had a card on the computer chair telling me how much he loves us and how everything will be ok   :cloud9: isn't that so sweet :lovestruc

ahhh Lin thanks for the recipe! :woohoo: I can't imagine trying to survive next weekend's shopping  GOOD LUCK :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Have a great night everybody!! :wave2:

Linda - good for you for calling child protective services!! Nice to hear they're going to be proactive about it! :grouphug:

Hi, herodrx1!! :welcome:

I swear it's not a conspiracy for the "okies" to take over this thread!! ;)

Linz - thanks so much for the recipe! I think I'll get some little containers at Hobby Lobby, and some raffia, and tie some cinnamon sticks in the raffia, and make cute little containers! I'm already making some of my Christmas gifts this year, this'll make a fun, unique gift!

Michele - I cringed when I read your post... ouch!

So who's going out shopping next Friday?? NOT ME! I'll wait for the crowds to thin, and probably do some shopping on-line. DD and I were out earlier (short rehearsal night tonight - I actually got to see her for the first time since Sunday!) and we're ready to decorate! I'm still fighting the urge to pull out the Christmas music.

Well my van is fixed. It was the battery after all, but I didn't have to pay! :thumbsup2 I really like this new dealership so something good came of it.

I have both made and had that friendship tea. It is really good!!! I think I need to make me a batch! :)

Ouch Michele! I hope you have finally got to talk to Blake. I threatened David before he left that if we had a repeat of the last time (not hearing from either of them for days) that this would be the last time and he may as well stay there! ;)

Linda...I am glad you did call CPS about what happened. It has been bothering me all day. I bet it is hard for you knowing what he is like and having to send Kenny there. :grouphug:

Hello my friends!!!!

My my, we were chatty bunch lately. I had alot of catching up to do this evening.

Thanks for the well wishes for the doctor today-----and I'm sure YM appreciated them too :teeth: ;) didn't ya, cupcake???? Hope everything went well at the PT's.

Anyway, I am now playing the waiting game and am literally at the mercy of the insurance company. Will they, or won't they?? This is the question. Since this treatment is experimental for my condition, we will have to see. The doctors seem willing to really fight for it, though, which is good. My appointment was a bit more humiliating than I expected, though. The simple discussion of treatment turned into the dreaded, "okay, go ahead and put a gown on". Lovely.

Nicole----I know it has been said before, but LOOOOVE the new siggie!!!! I thought of you tonight----I had a cup of hot tea in my new Tink/Peter Pan mug that I got at the GF gift shop. It tasted oh so much better in that mug rather than a plain old one. :smooth:
I have never been to LV-----next meet, possibly?? That sounds like fun. Yes, that motorcylce is definitely creepy at close range.
How could you forget to mention $500?? :lmao: Congrats to Steven---he'd better share with you, afterall, it was your b-day weekend that you were even there, right?? All's fair in love and $500. :teeth:

I laugh, because with my wicked sense of humor......I was going to say the same thing......

Reminds me of an old Mel Brooks comedy "Young Frankenstein". Gene Wilder goes up to this house that has these huge door knockers. And Madeline Kahn (or was it Teri Garr?)answers the door.....and I would assume everyone knows where it went from there.....

Master Pozey-----I'm shocked!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao:
Just kiddin'. :teeth:

Glad you had a good lunch with Chase today. That is very sweet of him to request and hug and a kiss in front of his peers.
Great pics, btw.
I'm not sure I realized that your mom had passed as well. I'm sorry to hear that. :grouphug:

Hi Sharon  and Welcome!!!! Yep, Donna's our gal!!!!! Glad you stopped by and said hi. Join in anytime. And yes, that souffle was over the top!!!!!

Lyzziesmom--(cuz you'll always be Lyzziesmom to us :teeth: )-----oh great, now the pressure is on for Impressions de France. Like I said, I loooove it----but you must like classical music. You sit down in this one and it is a 180 screen instead of 360. It is a bit dated now, but still very beautiful with the scenery and music. And you all know how much I love anything French. I hope you're not bored with it. It runs about 18 minutes.

So, your mom agreed to watch Lyzzie??

Please take it easy!!! Painting?? Are you serious?? Crate and Barrel sounds so much more nice and relaxing.

Michele---great brain story!!!! classic.
Watch those knives. Hope your palm is feeling better. ouch.

Amber---I'm stomping and kicking because I'm ready to go back!! You're itinerary sounds wonderful!!

Lesa---smelly car, smelllly car :teeth: yep, great minds think alike.
btw, everytime I see anything about Wendy's, I still think of you!!! Frosty chick.
sorry about your ongoing car woes. good luck. oops, just read---yay.
One more thing----I hope Gracie realizes that the fixing of the fence is going to come out of her doggie bone allowance!!

Donna---ooooh, bagels!!! This reminds me of my bagel story from a few weeks ago. Want to hear?? It's strange. It was one morning and I was on my way to my treatment. I stopped at Einsteins and got a bagel, cream cheese on the side and capers on the side as well. I love capers but I didn't want them to assemble it because it would get icky soggy by the time I got to the center. So, they started the IV and I settled in for my breakfast. I had my bagel, cream cheese and capers all layed out like a little lap picnic and a nurse that I had NEVER met before comes up to me to check blood pressure. She proceeds to ask me what was in the plastic cup. Capers, I told her. She then asks, without a bit of hesitation---"can I try one??" :lmao: What could I say, but "okay".
Anyway, that's my bagel/caper story. The End. :teeth:
Oh, I never even thought that maybe you answered no to my original question ---"want to hear??" Too late.

Nathan plays acoustic guitar?? Does he give lessons?? :teeth:

Holy you- know -what Linda!!!!! :furious: :furious: What more do you have to put up with???? This is horrible!! I'm speechless. Poor Kenny. :grouphug: :grouphug: Unreal!!!
Just read----good for you for calling on him. Hopefully you can get this straightened out. How is Kenny feeling?? I bet this doesn't make him want to visit anytime soon.
I'm getting teary-eyed at Mike's sweet gesture!!

Angela-----your itinerary sounds amazing too!!! Need a photographer?? Or two?? I'm sure we can round up a few. How exciting for you all.
I don't think I realized POR had carriage rides. How fun!!!!

Feb. crew----anyone want to do a carriage ride???? I have no idea when, but just a thought. :confused3

DznyFan----tough call on the sister thing. I agree, maybe something small----I like the spiced tea idea.

YM----Yes, both Canada and China are standing movies with the lean rails. Kind of makes me dizzy-----as if I need help. :teeth: :lmao: In France you do sit down in a lovely theater.
I gotcha on the P/P party. The only thing I am fretting is that I thought I read somewhere where that Monday is a special dealy for DVC members?? Not sure.
I'm glad DS is a bit better.

Lin----thanks for posting the recipe!! Looks very good!! I love Southern Living Magazine. My mom gives me a subscription every year for Christmas.
I have no idea what to tell you about the games for the generation gap. I'll keep thinking.

I'm feeling quite outnumbered by all you OK's. :dance3:

Where's our little Ashleypoo??

Hi to anyone I have missed.

HI :wave2:

My dear Lin----

I know you are super tired, but as I was reviewing the tea recipe----I must ask what two leaping tablespoons are, sugarpie??

Lizard related, maybe??

sorry, couldn't pass that one up. :teeth:

Get some sleep, hun.

Wow...yes I'm from that era but I graduated from Edison in Tulsa... 1986. We have lived out in Owasso about 5 years. We came for the schools and so far are very pleased. We have a DS in third and a DS in first. I have neighbors around that graduated in the 80's....are you still in the Owasso area?

Glad you stopped by to say hi...drop us a line anytime! :cheer2:

Hi everyone :wave2:

Nothing new to report here!! I'm looking forward to the long weekend that we are coming up to! I think we may try and brave the Black Friday crowds, but it makes me a little nervous, I tend to feel anxiety in big crowds like that. :rolleyes1 Somehow that doesn't happen at Disney. :confused3 :teeth: I think I'll brave it to get some good deals on Christmas presents.

Nicole, I'm so glad you had a fun time in Vegas! Cool pictures, and love the sig!!

2xcited- Hope the insurance guys come through. I've never seen the movie in France either! I'm the person who by-passes that movie in Norway too. Now I'm feeling guilty.

YM: So sorry to hear about your sons hives. I totally know how he feels!! When I was younger (probably around his age) I went through several months of breaking out in hives all over my body for no reason. :confused3 I actually didn't mind because everytime it would happen I would call my mom to come pick me up from school. :teeth: It also happens to me when I take antibotics, because I'm allergic to almost every one you can think of!! I hope he's feeling better.

Pozey, love the kids rooms! Do they always keep it that clean? :)

Lyzziesmom- I hope your feeling better today!! What color are you planning on painting your room? Cant wait to see pics when everything is finished!!

Donna- thanks for the wonderful breakfasts the last couple days!!

Hello to everyone I missed! Hope you are all having a good week. And a big welcome to all the newbies!!! :sunny:
