:rockband: party: Whoo Hoo!!!!

I am so excited...I have been sitting at my computer this morning just waiting...I got tickets to see Bob Seger!!! I can't wait!! :cool1:

Now Blake and I are off to watch Briana's cheerleaders compete  I thought once she was done cheering that I was done with this, oh well, we'll go and cheer them on!!

Have a great Saturday!!!

WOW you guys were a bunch of busy bees last night with all the planning! Consider me & Emma just along for the ride. We typically get the first flight out in the AM, so we should arrive around 10:30am on Friday and the 5pm flight out on Tues, so I still have 1/2 a day.

I wish I had time to catch up with all of you, but my parents are on their way over and we are all still in our jammies! I have to take the girls to get haircuts this weekend, hopefully this morning, and then depending on the weather we are going to either the zoo or Science City with DBF this afternoon. Busy day!!

MI mom good luck at the cheer competition. :cheer2:

2xcited...waiting for "Thanksgiving from a can" :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Well, we are going to take the kids to the zoo today. The OU game doesn't start until 7 p.m. tonight, and it's a nice day out - albiet kinda cool - so we thought it was a good day to go.

Good Morning!

Thanks for the pancakes Donna! I'm happy you booked your flight!

Ashley- That's too bad you can't go. :( Maybe you will find a way.

Pozey- I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

2X- I think I've seen that commercial!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Good Morning Glories!!!

Donna---is that real maple syrup?? Yum, thank you!!!
Good luck to Nathan on his game this afternoon!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Rah Rah Rah Sish Boom Bah :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Oh my goodness Pozey----I am so sorry!!!!!! What a difficult thing to deal with at such a young age. You are blessed to have such a strong mother. Okay, this is going to sound really sappy, but, knowing men in my life, current and past, your family is extremely lucky to have someone like you in their lives. Enduring an incident like this as a boy really could have steered you in the wrong direction, but from what I have read here, you're a good man who is very caring. And I mean this with utmost respect. Hats off to you and your mom.

Michele----yay for Seger tickets!!!
Be careful in your city too------I do remember Detroit being on the list. Scary.
Have fun at Briana's cheering competition. Repeat myself from Donna's above note------ :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Are you and Lesa doing DDP??

Lyzziesmom---have fun on all of your outings today. Hopefully you will have a nice day----no rain here, what about in your neck of the woods?? That's my Al Roker impersonation.
Any suggestions on dining, etc??

YM----

Step One: Purchase the best can opener your money can buy.
Step Two:
:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Nicole---You've seen it?? I thought it was really funny.

Have a good day everyone.

I must be off to get some things done around here. I really want those maidies to grant my wish. :dance3:

Au Revoir :wave2:

I don't know if we are doing the DDP or not. I just got the AP rate on the room and I think the girl said that if we add the DDP it makes it a package and we would pay rack rate for the room. I'm not sure if I understood her correctly, she was very soft-spoken.

So we will have to check into this a little more.

:confused3 Matt took his meds for the first time this morning. He is bouncing off the walls. Blake just took him to a buddies house. Hopefully he won't take too long for all of his levels to even out. At this point the cure is worse than the disease

We just got back from the cheer comp. I remember why I hated them. They were running a full hour behind schedule. I thought we would get there just in time to see her girls and then we could go. Oh no, we had to sit there for an hour and a half to see them. They did well tho, I don't think they will win a medal but considering all she put up with from these girls, they did as well as I could have expected. :cheer2:

Lesa, tell Britty I saw her friend Kyrsten there. They didn't do so well :sad2:

There were no major falls, except this boy who was rushing down wooden bleachers with those awful Heely shoes and fell down the bleachers. He acted tough and said he was fine, but I don't know, he took a heck of a spill.
Hopefully he really is ok. I couldn't believe how many kids I saw with those shoes on. I thought maybe they weren't as popular cause I haven't seen any at the MS this year. But they were all over, mainly with younger kids, 8-9 year olds. One boy was all over the gym floor with the wheels out but using crutches  I don't understand that one.

Nick's confirmation was last night. He looked so handsome in his suit. :groom:

ARGH!!! I want all these political phone calls to stop!!!! :furious:

Have a great Saturday!!

Hello, everybody!! Sounds like everyone is having/planning a busy Saturday.

Nathan's team didn't do very well. Maybe with more practice they will do better.

Not much going on right now, I have frozen pizza in the oven. Whoopee.

Michele:: Glad you made it through the cheer camp. Hope Matt's meds start to work in a positive way very soon.
I saw Bob Seger in St. Louis years ago. (I even lived to tell about it!! :rotfl2: ) He put on a super show!! 2x2s will remember...it was at the old Checkerdome.
BTW, I noticed your trip counter!!! :thumbsup2

Better go eat my gourmet pizza!!

Have a good evening!!

My Saturday didn't turn out quite as busy as planned. It was a little too chilly for the zoo, and after lunch with DBF at Olive Garden - yummy! - he wasn't feeling well & went home. By that time it was too late for Science City so I took the girls to see The Santa Clause 3. Cute but Emma would not sit still or be quiet, so it was a bit stressful. Tomorrow if DBF feel better we're going to attempt to take the girls bowling. Well, take Lyzzie bowling and let Emma run around will be more like it!

I like everyone's tickers! Ashley, that's too bad you had to change your plans, but maybe you will be able to find a way. Never say never! I just realized that I will be missing out my Xmas bonus, and I have no idea if the new job gives them out and/or if I would get one anyway. So I'm going to have to run the numbers one more time and put off my AKL dream... I just may end up at a value after all.

Michele, I hate those Heelys! I certainly hope that trend disappears soon, they seem so dangerous.

Lyzzie just put herself to bed, so I suppose I should go tuck her in & get Emma settled in as well. Wish me luck!!

Good Evening!

Lyzziesmom- I'll have to go see SC3. I liked the other 2 and will have to go see the new one.

Donna- That's too bad Nathan's team didn't do too well.

I didn't do too much today. I just went to the mall and my mom bought me a really cute jacket for my birthday. I would like to take it to LV, but it might be too cold over there. That reminds me, I need to check the weather over there. Anyways, Steven and I rented "The Lakehouse", it was good I just over analyzed it. He tried to explain it to me but I didn't understand! We also rented "Thank you for Smoking" and will watch it tomorrow.

Nicole... I know what you mean about The Lake House. The time stuff just didn't make sense no matter how you looked at it, and I'm a fan of time travel movies. I also tried to overanalyze it, which made it less enjoyable. I liked it more when I decided to stop figuring it out, and just decided it was a magic mailbox. ;) The SC3 was cute but I had a hard time concentrating and missed about 15 minutes in the middle because I had to take Emma for a walk & get some of her wigglies out.

No hooting for me tonight... my Ambien is kicking in. Does anyone else see the words dancing all over the screen?!?

Yes, I just sat there and watched it, and didn't think about it!

No, Lyzziesmom, it's just you. ;) Now go get some sleep!

Nicole, I remember before watching The Lakehouse April (from this thread, where are you by the way April?!) told me not to over-analyze it and just watch the movie. I took her advice (because normally I WOULD over-analyze!!!) and I really enjoyed it much more than I thought I would!!! Even Jeremiah liked it..I would watch it again!!

We rented 'Nanny McPhee' tonight. I hope its a cute movie!!

It's a cute movie, I think you'll like it.

Ashley... my mom took my kids to see Nanny McPhee over the summer - since the kids' summer movie series at the theater are always in the middle of the day on weekdays (small vent: because apparently mom's either don't work or can afford nannies??). Anyway, the kids liked it and my mom said it was really good, it made her cry a lot. I didn't realize it was out, we may have to rent it. I usually don't watch too many movies, but when it gets cold outside I there doesn't seem to be much to do, and I do like to make popcorn and snuggle up on the couch with the kids and a silly movie once in a while.

There's this hilarious movie right now on VH1, it's called Totally Awesome. It's a spoof on just about every 80s movie ever made and its, well... awesome! Super cheesy and just ridiculously fun.

Ok I'm going to bed now, for real. Why does the DIS have to be so darn addictive??!?

I found a new recipe for Belgium Waffles. Would you like to try some?

belgian_waffles_topped.jpg

I hope everybody has a Sunny Sunday!!!! :sunny:

Didn't do much last night after the pizza. DH and Nathan watched I Spy with Owen Wilson and Eddie Murphy. I zonked out on the couch.

Nicole & Ashley::We watched Nanny McPhee when it first came out. It was an OK movie, but once is enough for me.

I still haven't seen The Lake House, my sister said it was pretty good.

Just a reminder....CARS comes out this Tuesday. I will definitely have to buy it!! I rate it as one of the best movies of 2006!!! :thumbsup2

Mornin' Sunshines!!!!!!

Did everyone sleep like little bundles of joy??

Am I the first one up this morning?? I'm not prepared!!!!!

It was kind of quiet here last night, huh?? I had a pretty boring day yesterday-----got a few things done, but not really. Then I got cabin fever and decided to go to Borders---spent a bit too much on holiday CD's--like I need another one like I need a hole in the head-----then went to Baskin Robbins. Yep, I did. Bad Pin-cess. I had German Chocolate Cake and boy was it yummy!!!! I then came home and made some homemade stew for dinner. It was just one of those comfort food days. Anyone want any leftovers?? This is the bad thing about living alone----I very rarely cook, even though I love to do it, because I have tons left over, especially something like this. I suppose I could freeze it, but that takes more work, right?? :teeth:

I read Visions of SugarPlums last night. I agree, it was strange but really cute. I'm glad I didn't read it in WDW though, and waited until now. Got me kind of in the Christmas spirit, even though it is not even a week after halloween. I'll re-name myself Macy. Get it?? Or was that really stupid?? Yeah, stupid. I digress. (sheepishly, I might add)

Onward James---

Michele---I'm sorry, but those shoe heely thingies FREAK me out!!!!!! I mean seriously, if one feels the need to have wheels on shoes-----go rollerskating!!!! Okay, showing my age----rollerblading!!!!!!
Accident waiting to happen, I tell ya----but in inventor is rolling in the dough, I'm sure. Or rolling around somewhere----on the heelies. :lmao: siiiiiiiggggghhhh.

I hope Matt is getting used to his meds. It is a hard thing not knowing how your body will respond. Hugs to him for having to endure this. :grouphug:

Oh, and political commercials bashing the opponent too!!!!! Terrible!!

Where's Lesa?????????? :wave2: :wave2: HI Lesa!!!!!!!!!!

Donna---Oooh, I'm sorry Nathan's team didn't do very well. Did he take it okay?? Practice, practice, practice. You will be eating and sleeping B-ball, I'm sure.

Yes, I remember the Checkerdome very well!!!! I'm not a big hockey fan (bad girlie--since one of the most well known Blues players' wife is a client of mine) but I used to go the the Steamers' games all of the time. I was in eighth grade and had the biggest crush on Jeff Cacciatore. (yes, my crushes started young  ) I loved indoor soccer. I then went to a big soccer high school and loved it even more. Some of my high school friends (boys) went on to play pro. Too bad soccer is not a big deal anymore.

Lyzziesmom-----ooh, I'm sorry to you that DBF wasn't feeling well and your day didn't turn out as planned. At least you got to see him for a bit though. Did the girls warm up to him quickly?? Did you give him the watch??

Nicole----I want to see SC3. It looks so cute. I may wait a bit closer to Thanksgiving though. I hope it will still be out. I can't see them taking a holiday film away before the holidays. I wonder why they released it so early?? They're probably in kahoots with the malls in order to get us into purchasing more. :confused3

I completely over-analyzed The Lakehouse too!!!! Everyone is right---you need to just watch it for the joy of watching and not think too much about it.
Let me know how you like "Thank You for Smoking"----I had forgotten I wanted to see this.

Ash-----uuuhhh, Nanny McPhee-----another one I really want to see!!! Thanks for reminding me. It will go to the top of my "to see" flicks. Speaking of "flicks"-----anyone interested in "Flicka"?? I remember this book as a little girl but kind of want to see the movie. It just looks like a "feel good" type. Very touching.

I wish we all lived a bit closer to go see movies that maybe DH/DBF's maybe would not enjoy. I love going to movies.

I must be going. I am meeting my family at noon mass ----it is a memorial for my grandma. It is taking place at a beautiful cathedral-like church in a town where I grew up (Florissant) and this church has a long history with my family-----baptisms, weddings, and unfortunately funerals. The last time I was there was at her funeral. Wish my luck. I have tissues in my handbag.

I am then going to lunch with my mom and dad.

Everyone have a lovely Sunday.

Sorry I didn't come equipped with breakfast this morning. Poor Donna, never gets a day off.

Speaking of breakfast----I need to eat something----I'm thinking ..............stew??.............. :crazy2:

side note: after reading this post-----boy, I do talk alot. :sad2:

Ahhh, Donna-----you're the best sugarpie!!!!

They look awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone see my tickers?? I can't see them----------------I done lost my tickers!!!!!!!!

(sorry that sounds really bad)------but where did they go?? I spent waaaay too much time on those buggers just to have them go poof!!!!!!!! :badpc: :furious:

2x2s:: I can see your tickers!!! I had to right-click on the last one and then it popped up!!

cough..cough...you almost missed my breakfast, Cupcake!!!

I wish you the best today. Tell your Mom I said "Hi". :goodvibes
