Hi Ashley!!! :thumbsup2 on the trip approval!! Don't worry about going by yourself, easy peasy lemon squeezy!!!
Shopping?? I realize you have "things" to buy before a trip!!
What movie are you going to see?

2xcited: Adjoining rooms sounds like a very good idea! Us girls have to stick together!!

DH & I are going to go see Little Miss Sunshine. It starts at 10:25 and we still have to get dinner, so I'll check in after its over. :goodvibes :wave2:

I've heard Little Miss Sunshine is good!!

Have to go for awhile. Promised DS we would shoot off fireworks. I know I'm raising a hoodlum!! :rotfl2: Be in touch later!! :wave2: Bye.

WOW you guys have all been busy this weekend.

Blake, Nick and I went to the new IKEA yesterday. I tried but that store made me crazy  I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Today we had my side of the family over for Labor Day and to celebrate Blake's birthday. He got completely freaked out today. We were all talking about how fast kids grow up. My niece's will be starting Kindergarten and Pre-school on Wed. My mom mentioned that she was the same age Blake is now, 46, when Briana was born and she became a gramma. That really hit hard. He kept questioning how it could be possible. [my mom was 21 when I was born and I was 25 when Bree was born, yep it works] I think he has hit the age that bothers him the most.

I haven't had one bother me yet, it will probably be 46 for the same reason it is affecting him. Has anyone had one that really got to them yet? Of course I think most of you are younger than me so maybe not yet :confused3

If you are seriously planning a trip for us to meet at WDW COUNT ME IN!! :thumbsup2

We've only been back 2 weeks tomorrow and I want to go back soo badly!!

We are thinking about going to the apple orchard tomorrow. Then it is back to school and work on Tuesday :sad2: Actually I can't wait. :teacher: I love working with the kids and I like all of the teachers except one. Unfortunately it is my year to work with her. She is so bad to work with that they try to alternate who has to work with her. Luckily it is only for one hour a day but it seems much longer

YM...has this happened with your back and neck before or is this something new? Sounds like a good reason to have a massage :cloud9:

Donna..my boys would love it if I would let them play with fireworks, but they scare me so much. When they were little Blake's brother would have a party for the 4th of July and all the men would be out setting off fireworks and I would make my kids watch from inside the house.

Ashley...how was the movie? It looks cute. I kept watching the commercials and couldn't figure out why the little girl looked so familiar. It finally came to me...she was on an episode of NCIS. I love that show. Mark Harmon is a hottie :lovestruc

Believe me, HE does not light them, or get near them!!! This is DH's job, but he is out of town, so I had to do it. We weren't out long, thank goodness!! Fireworks scare me too!!
Sounds like a girls trip is in the planning!! :thumbsup2 The more the merrier!!
WDW may never be the same!! :rotfl2:
Mark Harmon is a hottie
Yes, he is. Dennis Quaid is too!! puckerup:

Hi everyone!!!

We're back from the movie. It was really cute. It was totally different then what I thought it would be though. There was a lot of cursing, but if you don't mind that, I think you should see it!!!

I've seen that little girl in something else too, but I've never seen that show. :confused3 It's been bothering me all night where she's from. Steve Carell was very funny too, but it wasn't his "normal" goofy part that he usually plays (like in Anchor Man or 40 year old virgin.)

ETA: I looked it up, she's from that movie "Raising Helen" with Kate Hudson.

Howdy Ashley!!!
Glad you enjoyed the movie. The little girl is Abigail Breslin, Spencer Breslin's sister. I am an encyclopedia of information!! I usually have to wait for the DVD. Have you seen Just My Luck? My niece rented it, I borrowed it and watched it this afternoon. I don't know if you like Lindsey Lohan, but I thought it was a cute movie. :happytv:
Have anything good for dinner? We had a late lunch, so we just snacked for supper.

Hey Ashley...glad you enjoyed the movie. Hey speaking of language...did you get the first Stephanie Plum book? It has some colorful language.

MI mom...yes this back and neck stuff is old business...my joints popped like a 60 year old when I was 5 :sad2: I'm going to see an ortho person for the neck...it's causing me arm pain and some numbness. I had major ankle sugery about 18 months ago but that was from an accident. Never jog at night...you might trip on a garden rake that someone left out on their sidewalk. How is you DS's knee?

Donna....silly I had my burger around noon and then my pancakes and tonga toast when I got home...oh around 1:30 :teeth: :cool1:

2xcited....I've had two naps in the past two days... :cloud9: :cloud9: :thumbsup2

Ok...about the little trip...I think the Fri-Tues looks good. I checked southwest and I can go through St Louis both of those days(not that I have to fly through St Louis...but that would be fun). Ashley don't worry about being alone...we can get connecting rooms...we all need to stay in the same hotel...disney hotel that is! Shouldn't we do the dining program? Ok...Donna let's hear from you now. :woohoo: 2xcited where did you stay on your solo trip?

It's after midnight so I can say good night and good morning :thumbsup2

Hey Donna!! I actually was contemplating renting "Just My Luck" the other day!!! I do like Lindsey Lohan's movies, they are cute. For dinner, we went to a Italian place. It is "kind of" fast food, it isn't like a normal restaurant with a waiter. You order your food, pay for it, then they call your number when its ready. I got Chicken Parmesean, I subbed angel hair for penne, and Jeremiah got 2 slices of pizza and I shared some of mine.

YM: I totally forgot about the Stephanie Plum books..I am kicking myself right now!!! I was at Target today and everything.

Funny, I was just talking to Jeremiah tonight about the trip, and getting the dining plan. I think that would be the easiest thing, for me atleast!! I also told him about the connecting rooms. He thought that was a good idea. Where do you think we should stay? He told me I need to come up with an idea for price. I am excited because I just learned Southwest is going to start flying out of Dulles to Orlando starting in October! So I can definitely get some good airfare.

Wow...I was just looking at the resort prices for 07...everything keeps going up. Honestly, we stay at Shades of Greeen (magic kingdom area)...it's a deluxe for a value price. I can get up to three rooms there but I don't think we can do the dining. We have never stayed at a value...I think they would be too small for our family but if I'm by myself that might work...I was thinking how big of a room does one person need. If we were all rich I would pick the contemporary tower room with a magic kingdom view. :wizard:
ETA: The boardwalk might be a fun area for a girls trip....close to so many restaurants. popcorn::

I smell a plan coming together!!!
YourMajesty::I was thinking the same thing about connecting rooms or at least being close. The same hotel would be best IMO.
I probably would not be able to afford the GF or Poly. The WL would be a consideration because of the proximity to the MK resorts. If you all wanted to do a moderate or even a value, I'm game. The only problem with that would be the outside corridors. I really am not sure for security reasons. How do you all feel?...need input please, :surfweb:
The dining plan would probably work well, free dining would be better! :thumbsup2 I could buy an AP if rates were released. For the few days I coulds pay out of pocket for dining. It really wouldn't make that much difference to me. :sunny:

ETA:CR with Mk view!! :thumbsup2 But I'm not rich!!

I think us staying at the same hotel would be the easiest thing..I'm pretty easy myself, of course I would love to see us all staying at The Contemporary!!! I wish I had the money. I would have to see the rates for Wilderness Lodge..that would def. be my #1 choice but I have to see what the budget comes to. Wilderness Lodge would def. be the only deluxe I could afford, since its the cheapest (along with the Animal Kingdom Lodge..but I like the proximity to MK with WL). I've stayed at both the values and the moderates and of course the rooms are plenty for 1 person!!! I have never felt unsafe at them, but I've never been alone either... What month are we looking at here?

::yes:: Ashley, we're looking at Feb 2nd-6th or 7th, I think. Have you stayed at POFQ before? I think the proximity to DTD may be a consideraton if the deluxes are too pricey. Maybe let us know what you think when you get back.
YM's suggestion about Shades of Green sounds like a good alternative, but I'm thinking we are going to need more than 3 rooms.

I think 2xcited (or Donna)...or someone mentioned the first weekend in Feb...actually that is perfect for me. I have a three day siminar in Jan and a birthday boy 2-12. It is the value season and maybe they will bring back the free dining?

Donna...yes I wish I didn't need to have a budget...we can dream. :teeth:

Donna,
I've never stayed at POFQ before..I will definitely let everyone know when I get back what I think about it. I have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and really loved it..I loved the boat to Downtown Disney.

If we could get another military person on board.... :scratchin then we could get up to six rooms. They are lovely rooms....big...they actually sleep five...just to let you know how big they are. They are $99 a night no tax and just a 10 minute walk to the poly. I just keep thinking about the dining...if it's free that might cancel out the savings. You guys can go to shadesofgreen.org (I think) and check it out. Plus, there is information about it on this website. I'm really game for any Disney resort...for a deluxe I would just have to beg someone to share a room with me. :smokin: (i don't really smoke). :rotfl: I don't do anything strange except dising late at night. :smooth: The moderates might be the answer. :teacher:

I've heard great things about Shades but I can't think of anybody who is military...Wait, isn't Linda's husband retired military?? Linda??

I do want to stay at a Disney resort though...I like the easiness of the transportation, (and it being my first time alone, that's good) and the dining plan, even if it wouldn't be free...

Well...we are missing our hoot owl picture person. I bet she is having a little more fun actually being at Disney instead of talking about it. :teeth: I better turn in for the night. :cloud9: We can trip talk more tomorrow...2xcited needs to chime in. ::yes:: ::yes::

YM, I totally agree about Shades of Green. Sorry, I'm not military. I agree with the moderates. We might have to have a plan that can be changed if something comes up.
My DH says I snore sometimes. :rotfl2:

And yes, we need 2x2s to help us. All of that baking wore her out, I think.

Nite-nite hootie owls!!!
