Do people under 18 have to show id? Also do you have to show ID every time or just the first time. thanks

OK so no ID is shown at the front gates anymore? only when the tickets are picked up at the booth?

I would imagine you would only have to show ID if you had will call tickets to pick up that you had previously ordered.
They do not need to verify that someone is 18 years old. Their adult ticket prices begin at age 10.

Yesterday the adults in our group had to show ID the first time our passes were scanned and never thereafter.

I should have clarified that were using 6 day tickets. I bought thru Getawaytoday and usually pick them up at the booth. LAST YEAR we had to show ID at the gates everyday and had a bunch of hassle. BUT what I was getting at was whether the teens in our group would need to carry ID too?

If you purchased a package and are picking up the tickets, the only ID needed will be whoever's name the tickets are under.

Good thing you secured the 6 day park hoppers already. They are not letting anyone purchase more than 5 now, and people are having trouble adding days.

I specifically asked if my teens needed to show ID and they said minors do not show ID.

This is at the entrance gate.

I had to show ID a couple of times at the gate. There are so many fraudulant people out there that have ruined it for everyone else. They told me it is for my protection. People are selling thier unused passes and they are not allowed to as they are nontransferable. It is sad that it has come to this. I don't mind. If I lost my ticket and someone else tried to use it, I would be happy they are checking.

Last week we used our eTicket 6-day park hoppers.

My girlfriend and I had to show I.D. at the turnstiles, and they also requested that we sign the paper tickets.

We also had to show I.D. on the second day, but not again for the rest of the trip.

:earsboy:

This is very dependent on the CM you get, but is also dependent on the ticket you have.

In all honesty, I wish they would get the fingerprint scanners out here to prevent the massive amounts of ticket fraud that happens though.

Minors do not have to show ID. Adults can be asked for ID at any time at the turnstiles. It is because of ticket fraud, people buying multi-day passes and then selling the remaining days at a discount. DLR is getting more strict about signing your paper ticket and having the name match the ID. You will not always be asked to show your ID, but you could at any time, so be sure to carry it with you.

To those who are averse to Disneyland no longer selling longer than 5 day passes, (like me!) PLEASE write to them to let them know you would love to purchase a 6 or 7 day pass. For those of us who have to travel a long ways to get here, 5 days really is NOT enough. I also mentioned that 2 times in one year 14 day pass (7 days each time) would be desirable, because upgrading to an annual pass is too $$$ to even consider if we do make it to Disney before 12 months time period passes. For the record, we are around 1670 miles away from Anaheim.

It is more than ridiculous that once we pay through the nose for a 5 day pass, that we would have to add on an even more expensive per day 3 day pass if we want to spend more time in the parks, PLUS we are spending $$$$ in their parks.

Surely there is a way to ensure that the tickets are signed with ID and even a quick 'on-the-spot' photo, for a longer than a 5 day pass, especially in this day and age of computers! They can do anything with movies and rides, why not the tickets??

Edited to add: I don't mean to hijack your thread, asking about ID. I am going to copy and paste this into a new post. :) Here it is, for anyone who wants to view it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2980067

I purchased through Flightcenter which seems to purchase their tickets through GOGO worldwide vacations. For what it's worth, I'm in Canada.

Last year we had 5 day hoppers and we showed ID at the main gate to get our tickets, including our DD6. We never showed ID again...

...except when they asked for ID when I bought a beer in DCA:
BEST DAY EVER!!!!

Unfortunately, they no longer offer a 6 day pass, only 5 day on their website. :(

Ok thanks again. I was thinking we had to show I'd at gate but wanted to make sure teens didn't need to.

My GF purchased a 5-day PH ticket at the gate on our trip last week, and was requested to show ID at the gate once for each park on the last day of the ticket, but never at any other time.
