Who has their 2017 disney trip planned?

I can see that it would be a serious project if you own a lot of small contracts. Or if you were always stretching your points to go as far as possible. I know DH and I often will use a spreadsheet to figure out how many days we could stay at various DVC resorts before we decide which to book.

I guess it's not that serious-- the biggest "project" is to make sure I trade out to my SSR points at 7 months so they can get consumed prior to their use year.
We always travel about the same times each year, and with my several small (small-ish) contracts I usually use 2 years of each each year, rotating....And then burn up the SSR points for fill ins and 7 month changes. I don't want to stay there.

I forget to mention that we haven't anything planned for 2017. I expect we will get two trips in but know that we will not be going in June as we have a save the date from our 11 year niece for her Bat Mitzvah on DH's birthday. We often go to WDW to celebrate 4 birthdays, ours and our two nieces that live near us from June 8 - 14. Without that celebration scheduled and no Star Wars weekends, we might do a Flower and Garden trip in the spring and then either an October or December trip. Don't know really, that all could change depending on any cruises we schedule for 2017.

Aulani for us. Two weeks in an ocean view 2 bedroom in July or August (probably August) 2017.
Been planning it since 2014.

Surprisingly no. My oldest starts Kindergarten in fall 2017 and we don't know if she's going to public or private school. Thats the deciding factor as to when and for how long we would go. (The private school has a much more lax family vacation policy)

We just got next school year's calendar this week, so I'm working on my pitch for a January 2017 trip. We don't go back to school until the 9th!!!

Yep! Finally going to try out Aulani (fingers crossed) in February '17 and add a few days at DL if we can get into GCV (fingers and toes crossed). We have a fixed week for the week after school is out for summer at VGF so that's easy . We are also anxious to return to VWL for December '17 seeing as the construction should be done by then, and we are missing it already knowing we won't be there for December next year! Not sure how we will split that stay, probably the tried and true combination of Poly for four nights and VWL one bedroom for six nights.

We will be going around the New Year for 10-12 nights. The deciding factor is whether or not we get an AK value 1 bedroom or not leading up to New Years. I refuse to walk the reservation, so we will be probably going for 10 days, but are excited to be doing some marathon weekend races.

TWO of them - April, and November. Booked, Airline tickets done, dining done for April, waiting for 180 for November. Still need to do FPs for both.

Edit - an old man screw up..... this is all for 2016 . 2017? We'll start on that around May.

I typically book a spring/summer trip, working backwards to squeeze that trip out of APs. Up to mid-may this year. If we don't decide to come back down end of June 2016, will let the APs expire & book something for end of June 2017.

Have been doing Columbus Day (generally week prior) for over a decade as split Universal tripto meet with friends for private HHN RIP. It is set in stone. Not sure if we'll have APs in hand this year or use up old tickets this trip.

always try to work in a few days @ WDW when cruising, DVC if possible. Haven't decided upon one yet this year, alone next.

bonus trips with GD are more difficult to book now that she's in school full time. Was able to work in a last minute trip last November around school holidays. Find that i'm back to waiting for a school calendar to come out to book vacation...the circle of life

Have been going through that the last few days actually for the reasons many are talking about. We have a big trip planned with our friends for Fall 2017 and trying to also fit in Marathon weekend again (just did my first 10K at Disney and want to do again ). We have points spread out over 4 contracts and need to try to book the AKL Grand Villa for 2017 trip so need to figure out how to do that.

Yes, I'm planning for a two week September/October stay during F&W. Now that we're in January, I can finally say our next trip is next year! My son is getting married in a few months and this will be his bride's first trip to WDW. Looking forward to showing around the new addition to our family!

I'm planning WDW & DCL for Jan 2018, we are coming from Australia and will be there for a few weeks. The planning keeps me sane!

We have 6 trips planned for 2017, 8 planned at this point for 2018, and 8 in 2019.

We seem to be using our points now two times a year. Usually May and October. Cruise/HH/Vero in the mix/added there too. We have had 2016 booked of course since last year but for next year - I think it's going to definitely be Italy. We are thinking of Vero or HH early in the year (April/May?) and not sure if we will do Italy in the summer or Sept/Oct. I don't think Disney is going to see us next year.
