Well now. . picking on the French and the Canadians seems to have been great entertainment here on the CB lately...

But Mexico refused to go along with the war on Iraq. . so who has the guts to boycott Mexico???

Hey WillyJ! As a Southern Baptist, I'm supposed to be boycotting WDW. As you can see, I'm not a boycotter. Is that a word? "boycotter"-- Well, it doesn't sound right.:o

And give up Mexican food?

No way Jose!

Economic boycotting is one thing (not that I'm doing it in any case), but it is the picking on the people from a certain country or of a certain heritage that is offensive IMHO.

Yep what Brenda said, I'm Southern Bap. too and some of them seriously boycott Disney...sorry can't do it, don't believe in the reasons!

I boycott Mexico already and didn't I was doing it. Don't like Mexican food/products, which is the only reason I "boycott" a country.

I agree 100%!

I know this is off the topic but I thought the Baptist Church gave up trying to boycott Disney? I remember when it was first announced the boycott included Disney merchandise. However the church soon realized that so many other companies (health care products, cereal etc) have ties to Disney that it's members would literally have to boycott every store in the country. Was the boycott modified or is it still in full force? I'm just curious, we don't hear much about it in the NE.

By the way I won't be boycotting Mexico. I'm not much of a fan of its food but I have a dear SIL who in Mexican as well as 2 darling nephews who are 1/2 Mexican.

I'm only boycotting France.... the reason is because they declared they would use their veto in the UN for any resolution that included military action under any circumstances. I think that is an abuse of the power given to them. I have no problem with them disagreeing with us..... That was the way I understood their position anyway.

Sounds like you're just trying to stir things up.

Why?
