We have a dinner adr at Jiko on a Sunday night and lunch at Le Cellier the very next day. I absolutely love filet, but I'm not sure if I'll want it for both meals so close together......

So if you had to choose: is the filet with mac & cheese at Jiko or the filet with mushroom risotto at Le Cellier the better choice?

Or should I just get both? ;)

Not even close - Jiko is much better (but getting both is a good option as well).

I vote for Jiko! :) It was amazing...Le Cellier is a regular filet I can get at any steakhouse :) Just slightly cheaper than Jiko's

LeCellier is not even close. Jiko wins easily in this comparison.

My vote goes against the over-hyped Le'Cellier; Jiko is much better when it comes to steak. IMHO just about all of the signature restaurants are better than Le'Cellier, and several of the 1ts serve a better steak than Le'Cellier. Don't get me wrong, Le'Cellier is good, it's just it's popularity I believe is mostly inflated because of it's value on the DDP.

Jiko. Best filet I've ever had. We often eat there more than once as we stay at Kidani and its nice and close to "home". Each time we go, we both get the filet.

I have not eaten @ Jiko but the steak @ Lecellier was pretty good but not outstanding, The steak @ Narcooses was outstanding.

Jiko no question we had both in one trip and we still talk about how amazing the filet at Jiko was and how amazing the mac and cheese pairing with the wine sauce was with the beef!!!! Le Cellier was average at best although the risotto at Le Cellier was very good.

I've only eaten at Le Cellier, but I probably would vote vote Jiko anyway. Le Cellier's filet is good, but I've had better.

Jiko - hands down!

Wow, this is unbelievably one sided! I had no idea just how good the Jiko filet is! You all have me rethinking whether we should even GO to Le Cellier!!!

What else is really good there? I've always ordered the filet!

I am a fillet eater..that's what I get when I get steak (usually) and I prefer Jiko..hands down!

At Le Cellier, I prefer the NY Strip.

I am wondering the same thing.... Maybe we'll just do Jiko too!!!

The last time I was there I had a salmon sandwich that I really loved. I think that, especially at lunch time, Le Cellier has a lot of good non-steak options.
