I need to book at hotel ASAP and the only place we have stayed at, the Hampton, wants to charge an arm and a leg. I have never paid more than $100 to stay there and this time it's $179.

Any recommendations for hotels on the US side of Niagara Falls????? There are so many there but I rarely have heard good things. I know there is a Crowne Plaza but the rate there is even higher. So which ones are the good ones?

When are you coming? Those rates are pretty high for around here!
I can help. Give me dates and what area you need to be in. Are you interested in being right by the falls or near shopping or airport?

We've visited Niagara Falls twice in the last decade, both times staying on the US side. On our last visit (2005?), we stayed at either the Quality Inn Suites or a Sleep Inn (Choice hotels brand family). However, I'm not certain if it is the same one that's showing up at 240 First Street. I don't remember being that close to the falls. It was neither great nor dismal. A good place to rest our heads for the night.

We've stayed in the US only to save a buck -- I've found a lot of inflated prices on the Ontario side, and I didn't mind crossing the border and boosting the NY economy. We were coming from Ottawa and found the traffic on the south side of Lake Ontario (I-81 / I-90) much less stressful than the 401.

Thanks. :lovestruc We are arriving May 14th departing May 16th. I guess the closer to the falls the better. The event we are going to is at the Niagara Falls Convention Center....across from the Seneca Casino. We will need to be there for part of Fri, Sat and Sun but with the rest of our time we plan to spend outrageous sums of money at the outlet mall and Galleria :lmao: An indoor pool would be a bonus but not neccessary. We do like the Hampton on Rainbow Blvd because it has nice rooms, a pool and includes breakfast and parking.....just not liking the price.

I just checked Expedia and got Sheraton Fallsview Hotel and Conference Centre (on the Canadian side) for $107 per night for May 14th and 15th. I have never stayed on the US side , though.

Hi. If you go over there alot. heres a tip my hair dresser told me. Go into thier casino and fill our the card that you play the slots with(You don't even have to play). You will get a coupon in the mail every month for a FREE night stay at thier connected hotel. And I guess that hotel is beautifull.

Thanks but that won't work. Going back and forth across the border multiply times is not at all possible.

Are you at the dance comp that weekend? We are staying at the Holiday inn not to far from the convention center. 130 a night for a double kids stay and eat free. Some of our group also found good rates at the Days Inn. Good Luck!

Yep.....StarPower.

I think the Holiday Inn used to be the Sheraton Four Points. I did consider it but they only had king rooms left when I looked. I've never had a good experience with any Days Inn so I never consider them any more. Plus, many of the hotels in that area are pretty bad. That's why I asked.

I went ahead and booked the Hampton, I'm just not happy with the rate.

Anyone know anything about the Comfort Inn at the Pointe? It got decent reviews on Tripadvisor. It would save me about $90.

We are at Star Power as well, which dance group are you with? We are with the Dance Shoppe in Milton. Are you going to any of thier National events? Looking forward to a girls weekend and hoping to get in some shopping!!!!:cheer2:

Anyone stayed on the US side lately?? We're planning a 2 night trip at the end of June and it needs to be budget friendly. Only planning to ride Maid of the Mist from the US side and his the National park. We've never been there before and will have our 3 kids with us, ages 13, 9 and 5.
