Who has stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites down Harbor?

We have back in 9/07 *me, my 2 kids, my mom, my sister & her son. Kids ages were 7, 4 & not quite 1. We had a kids suite with 2 Qs and a bunk bed *which were in a separate room* ~ 2 bathrooms. I'm pretty sure my DS & I took the bunks, DD & my sister shared a Q *her DS was in a pak 'n' play* and my mom had the other Q. It was nice enough ~ but we won't stay there again *unless we couldn't find a something comparable in price *I'd pay a bit more to be closer* it's just too far away. It's *this* one right?

Yes that's the one. We usually pay the extra 4-500$ to stay across the street and walk. But this time we need to conserve funds. Its such a huge price difference. It gets really good reviews as well.

We stayed in the same type of room described above by DisneyMomma (a kid's suite with 1 bathroom)..in August of 2007 (just a month before she did).

It was just "ok". I felt like it was dirty for the price (we were paying about $130 a night). The carpets left our socks black, housekeeping wasn't changing the sheets, and both the front door and the bathroom door were really grimey.

We've stayed at Super 8 on Disneyland Drive for under $60 a night, and it was cleaner. I wouldn't stay at Comfort Inn again, myself.

Thats funny because all the current reviews say how clean, spacious, sheets changed every day, carpet does not change color of socks, etc. Maybe they have different management now??

You can stay closer for a similar price - check the *Anheim Plaza* and/or *Motel 6* *but I'd only stay there if visiting when park hours are 10am-8pm with maybe one 8am-12am day, we don't take breaks when hours are 10am-8pm, the walk from/to M6 is a little long for more than once per day. I've heard good things about the *Ramada* there's currently deals to be had, but I'm not sure when/how *you'd want to ask or search for that info. Also check out this *BB/LMT* tip and always check www.tripadvisor.com *I usually google the hotel name & Disneyland or Anaheim and TA is always a result or you can ask here for opinions.

How many are in your family/group, when are you visiting DLR?

The Anaheim Plaza and Motel 6 don't have the same amenities or good reviews. I did read Trip Adviser. Almost all of them are good. I have no problem with driving the 5 minutes so that's a non issue for us.

We have 4adults and 2 kids. We have reserved the kids suite for 6 nights June 12th.

That's entirely possible. It has been 3.5 years since we were there, after all. Hope your visit there is very pleasant! :goodvibes

You'll have a great time ~ but did you read *this*?

Will you all drive over in 1 car? I'd suggest most everybody get dropped off up front on Harbor. That way just one or 2 people has to deal with parking the car and tramming in ~ everybody else can wait in line and hopefully the parker(s) would be able to meet up with you prior to you entering the park - make sure they have their PH with them though just in case they can't make it in time!

We stayed at this Comfort Inn for our first ever trip to Disneyland in Spring 2005. We had the two bedroom, two bathroom suite. We chose this hotel because we got a very, very cheap deal from Get Away Today, and this was finally the way we could, with our finances at the time, get to Disneyland. The hotel was fine. The parking lot had enough room. The pool is in the parking lot, and we weren't interested in using it. We had a room on the second floor in the back of the property. It was reasonably quiet, especially considering the hotel was full. The rooms and bathrooms were actually quite clean. There was a door separating the two rooms, and we really appreciated this at the time since the boys were so young. I did feel like the room was a little dark and depressing though despite the cleanliness. The front desk staff was pleasant and very helpful. The continental breakfast wasn't bad. We walked from the hotel our first day because we were so excited to be going to Disneyland, so it is possible to walk, but I wouldn't recommend it. It is a LONG walk. We took ART the rest of the time including that first night, and I HATED ART. That's just my personal opinion though.

We stayed at the same Comfort Inn in October of 2009. The only reason we chose this hotel is because we only needed one night to sleep, we were familiar with the property, and it was on shorter notice than our usual trips so I couldn't find much else available, especially with a price point we could tolerate. We checked in late in the evening, sometime between 9 and 10 PM and had no difficulties. This time we had a standard room with two queen beds located on the second floor that wasn't out on the street but wasn't very deep into the parking lot either. The room and linens were actually very clean. There was Wi-Fi. We felt like this room was not as good an experience as the previous trip though because the walls seemed paper thin. We heard every noise everywhere, from our neighbors, the parking lot, the street, and so on. The continental breakfast has stepped things up a notch. It's not amazing food but was nice enough. The boys especially liked the make your own waffles. We checked out right after breakfast, piled our stuff in the car, and drove to the park before park opening, so getting to the park was not any bother for us this time.

The hotel is ok, but our family probably won't stay there ever again, and absolutely, definitely not for more than one night at a time since there are so many good options for us within walking distance to the park.

We have enjoyed the Extended Stay America on Clementine. Clean, inexpensive, comfy beds, quiet (a lot of the residents are longer term here on business type folks so not a lot of really late night coming and going). Has a kitchen (full size fridge, 2 burner stove, sink, pots, pans, etc) so you can cook your own breakfast if you want. $50-65 a night depending on when and how long you stay. It's not walking distance to Disney, but it is leave your car in the hotel lot and walk across the street to the Toy Story lot and grab the bus over. So...for those without APs no parking cost.
