I haven't stayed in one (will be in a 1BR there next week)...but will try to give you some information.
1. In October, there will only be 4 buildings open...all of them in the Congress Park area (if you've seen the map on the website or you can see a scan of it

2.) There are several two bedroom units in each building. Some will have DTD views...others on the ends of the buildings may not. You can request a DTD view...but it's just a request. You can see blueprints of the buildings on the Orange County Comptroller website if you want to investigate further. Look up CON DRAW document type with Disney Saratoga in your search.

3. None of the Congress Park buildings are particularly close to the main pool, restaurant, etc. ...just a short walk though. Some of the buildings in Phase II (which will begin to open Jan 2005) will be much closer to the common area amenities...but won't generally have a DTD view.
Of the four buildings that will be open in October, you could request the one closest to the walkway that goes to High Rock Springs...I'm not sure what the building number is. Maybe someone who has been there can give you details on that.
