Who has stayed at CBR & ASMu?

I am traveling with creatures of habit....we stayed at ASMu the first time around.....my husband & son loved getting up in the morning, going to the food court to fill up their mugs with coffee, going directly to the bus stop & getting on the bus to the parks.....
can they do something similar at CBR, which is where we are staying in August....those of you who have stayed at ASMu can picture the pattern.....maybe they were sleep-walking, I had them getting up so early (hehehe).....

From what I've read here on the boards you can do that from the CBR. I'll let you know---99 days and counting!

We've stayed at both. If you get one of the closer buildings to Old Port Royale (e.g. Martinique) distance-wise it's like staying in one of ASMu's "preferred" buildings.

Though we prefer staying across the island from OPR in Jamaica. It's quieter and still only a 5 minute walk to get coffee. We enjoyed staying at ASMu, but in the future will probably stay most often at CBR.

We have stayed at asm many times and just recently stayed at cbr. we liked cbr but i thought the convenience of the food court was much easier at asm. we did stay in a close reart section (Trinidad North). I also felt the laundry facilities were too far away, (none at the main pool- which is the only real fun pool). my kids loved the water slide at the main pool at cbr. the other pools were not impressive at all. the rooms were nicer, brighter and a little bigger. i liked the double sinks at cbr rooms. i probably would stay at cbr again over asm but if i had to stay at asm i would not be dissappointed. hope this helps

thanks for your input....the only reason I wanted to stay at CBR was to get another "feel" for wdw....it also looks bright & airy, which is what we like....I will try to request a close building....

We've stayed at both resorts, and I would vote for ASMu as long as the lack of waterslide isn't an issue. I too requested Martinique, and we got building 38 in Trinidad South. It was about as far as you could get from the food court, and with 3 young children, the walk there was absolutely brutal For this reason alone, my dh says he will not stay at CBR again. I loved the resort, but I also am very partial to ASMu. For the people who think Country Fair is a far walk to the food court at Music, I just laugh and laugh -- they've obviously never had our experience at CBR (LOL).

If your dh and ds don't mind what could be a 15 minute walk (I'm guessing because with our 3 yr old ds it was a lot longer!), you will really like the resort.
