I just took a look at the Keen sandals and I LOVE them! I'm in MA,where can I buy them? Some of the reviews say to order 1/2 a size larger than your usual size. Is this true? Also, did you get blisters when they were new?

I have the black Keen Daytonas in Men's size 9. I normally wear a women's 10-10.5, so this is 1/2 to a full size larger. They are a little on the roomy side and I love them, but I have to wear orthotics, so I gave them to my husband, who wears a men's 9.5 and they fit him well. I bought them at REI, but they sell them at Zappos.com or REI.com as well. I also have some closed Keen shoes in size 10.5 wide, which I got when I was told I needed supportive shoes. I love them, but I prefer to have an open toe if possible, so I only wear them when it's cold out. The sizing on the 10.5 is perfect for me.

Since I needed something with a back in order to keep my orthotics in place, I finally found Teva Dozer on sale at REI, and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They have a springy footbed which is very comfortable. I have had foot problems for a year following a car accident, and since getting these shoes, my foot pain has decreased by about 75%. (Full disclosure: I've also had acupuncture in that time.) I think the acupuncture has made my problems better, and the shoes have maintained the gains I've made with the acupuncture. The men's and women's Dozers are slightly different in sizing. The first ones I got were women's size 11 in brown from an REI store, and they are perfect. I wanted a pair in black too, and the women's black has pink spots, which I didn't like, so I ordered the men's in 9. In the men's, the toe cap is a little shorter, so I may return them because my big toe pushes up against the front, which I don't like. I've worn them for two days to see if they'd work, but they're still bothering me and I know the women's 11 works perfectly.

Thanks! I'm heading out that way today so I'll stop in and see
if they have any. I can't order online because I won't get them in time for my trip. Less than 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!:goofy:

I have several pair of keen sandals and I buy them 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear. I wore my first pair straight out of the box on a trip to Alaska which involved quite a bit of walking and had no problems. I order thru Zappos online -- they have free overnight delivery (and free return shipping). I've ordered around 6pm and have my package at 11am the next morning

Hope this helps

Zappos would get them there in time. BUT there are 2 main different sandal types

Venice H2

WIDER than this one

Newport H2 Narrower imho
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/1439754/c/123669.html

And I always have fit into my regular size on the Venice H2 but go up in the Newport(but I have a wide foot)

I stopped at Dick's yesterday--no shoes in my size. So,this morning after reading Java's post about Zappos fast shipping (thanks!!),I ordered the Newport(1/2 size larger) Keens.
I'm wicked psyched to get them!!!!!

Thanks everyone!!!!!:goofy:

I bought mine at EMS, but I've had great luck with Zappos getting stuff out quickly. I had to wear my sandles a bit before I found them to be really comfortable, but now they're my favorite. I also have a pair of leather shoes by Keen that I got on sale a couple years ago at EMS, and they're so comfortable. Have a great trip!

Just an FYI for those of you ladies with smaller feet, a ladies size 6 is approximately equivalent to a girls size 4 and a 7 to a 5, so if you're looking to save some money on the Keen sandal, you might want to try the girls version. In our local shoe store the kids' Keens were $50 while the women's were $90!!

Hey,I ordered my shoes(the Newports)online from Zappos and got them already!!! I absolutely love these !!! I took the advice and ordered a size up,they're perfect! Thanks again for the headsup on these sandals!

gettin' ready to go soon!!!!:goofy:

These are the greatest sandals ever, IMO.
Rub your feet with Bodyglide (I bought at EMS but I think Dick's also carries it) and you will not have any problems with blisters.
Plus I throw mine right into the washing machine, esp after a trip to DW and the come out looking and smelling brand new.

I have the Orange Venice H2 and LOVE them.........................love love love them...so great in wdw have worn them on 4 trips....don;t even bring sneakers anymore

Just want to echo the love for Keens. I have a pair of the Keen Catalinas and I cannot believe how comfortable they are. I've been wearing them for the past two weeks waiting to see where the rubs or the pinch spots are going to show up...and there have been none. The footbeds are also incredibly comfortable, so much so that I've had no heel pain (I always wear heel inserts, even in sneakers). I just can't believe it.

I was able to do this! I was so excited to find a pair of kids size 5 on clearance last year at Gander Mountain for $25! What a great deal!! I also bought a pair of the orange/orange & white flowered ones on Nordstrom.com - LOVE my Keens!!

Got my H2's in LIME GREEN for Disney! Purchased them as soon as the "warm" weather hit here (from Texas until recently). I wear them constantly and will be taking them on the Dec trip.

I love them and my new hubby got a pair just like them for his Dive trip to Costa Rica this week!

We'll both be in 'em come December!
