]Hi guys, I am new to this site and apologise if I am repeating what has already been discussed!

I'm planning a trip in November 05 and have not spoken to anyone that has been at this time of the year. Last time I visited was a hot barmy august in 1994 with my mum before Animal Kingdom and Islands at Universal. I don't want it to be cold so will the weather be ok but I also don't want it to be packed. I have chosen the first two weeks and need advice on tickets and whether or not to drive as want to stay on International Drive.. Your helpand years of experience will be appreciated as I'm taking my partner who has never been before and want him to enjoy it !

Thanks

WELCOME!!

Just thought I'd jump in and say you're right, lots of great advice, but dont be afraid to use the "search" function also!! (at the top of the page, in a black tool bar, click on search, and look for "November") Also for staying offsite there is the Orlando board... for tickets, it depends on how long you are planning on going to the Disney Parks, it sounds like an AP is your best bet (annual pass)...

Have fun planning!!

It depends. We've been there a few times in November. Sometimes it's been nice enough to swim, and other times we've had to wear long pants and jackets. Check the forecast (www.weather.com) before you head there to see what they're expecting and you should be able to pack accordingly.

I have been the third week of November and I really enjoyed it. All of the Christmas Decorations were going up and everything was beautiful. We lucked out and had some really nice weather Lows were about 64 Degrees F and High was around 82 degrees F. We had to wear light jackets in the morning but by 9 or 10 a.m. it was nice and warm so we took them off. We wore shorts all week and were comfortable. The thing about Winter in the South is that it is never really predictable. We have had winters where it was 90 degrees F and sunny on Christmas day and then we have had very cold weather with lots of rain. Hope you enjoy your trip and get lots of nice weather...OH, and welcome to the DIS Boards!!! :teeth:

Weather is all relative, we are going in Nov with my husband's whole family also from the UK, the first 2 weeks would be less busy and the weather is not definitely going to be warm but likely. It's one of the least rainy months and rain bothers me more than cold so that's why we love Nov.

Decide how many days you want to visit and what you want to do.

Have a good trip and once you narrow down the dates, then check out the hotels, transportation options, ticket choices, etc.

I went in November last year (the week before Thanksgiving) and I just have to say that I love that time of year. The crowds were light (except for the weekend! Yikes!!!) and the weather was gorgeous. High 70's/low 80's every day, not a cloud in the sky and it didn't rain once. However, it did get a little chilly at night. Bring a sweatshirt and you'll be fine. :) Also, the christmas decorations were up by then.

We were at WDW for 10 days in the middle of November last year. IMO, The weather was close to perfect! We dressed in shorts and t-shirts. My kids wore sweatshirts in the mornings over their t-shirts but usually shed them by 10:30am. They usually needed them again in the evenings when the night breeze picked up. Hats are also important especially for the young ones.

It would be best to pack long pants and lightweight jackets in addition to shorts and t-shirts just in case you encounter cooler weather. We did have a few days with short afternoon showers so a rain poncho is also a necessity.

Welcome!! :flower:
I went to WDW last year, on Turkey Day. The weather was very nice during the day around 80's and wore a light sweater at night. My son didnt care, he went swimming anyway. I tend to go to WDW in the wintertime ( from NYC ). We are going back this November also ( 5th-12th for the Food and Wine Fest. ). On Turkey day we didnt even bother going to MK. We knew it would be packed. The weekend wasnt all that bad. I prefer to go after Turkey day, that's when all the Christmas decorations are up. :cheer2:
If you're staying for 2 weeks, I'd definately get the AP. I did that last year because we stayed 11 days. Well worth it! Plus I got great discount on AKL! If you do get the AP consider staying inside og WDW. Rates will be coming out soon ( hopefully!!) and if you have an AP you may get a great discount, even at the Value resorts. You also save like10% at some restaurants if you hold an AP. Also. if you stay inside of WDW, you can use their own transportation. I never drive, because I stay inside WDW and dont venture out. I hope some of this helps. Good Luck!

Hey acidreignn! We're going 11/5 - 11/12 too! And staying at All Star Movies! Small world. This is my first time and I was also curious about the weather. I'll just have to check before we leave.

Lynn :cool1:

We went this past december and I thought the weather was great! (esp. compared to michigan brrrr) So we are figured it would be safe to return to november of this year also! We will be there 11/2-11/15. I don't care for it real warm either, so I'm thinking that it will range from shorts to shorts/jacket weather. :)

Lynn,
We may bump into each other! You'll love ASMo! :sunny: We stayed there our first time also. You'll love the theming. :earseek:
As for the weather, like other Dis'ers have said it can vary. Pack a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirts. Or you can forget to pack them and wind up buying them at the resort store like I did! LOL! :rotfl:

I've been twice in Nov and the first week was a nightmare for crowds, Jersey week.
The week before Thanksgiving is perfect for low crowds and great weather.
