Who has gone during Pop Warner days in Dec???

Visit nearly every year, typically the first week of Dec but have done the 2nd. A great time of year to go. Check out the crowd calendars to get a feel for things.

We are planning a girls adult trip just to enjoy the Christmas season. Is it super crowded during these days in early to Mid December??

No, but the new SW ride seems to be having an impact on room availability starting on the 5th going forward, including higher than normal pricing.

We stayed at value resorts during Pop Warner. Didn't have any park impact for us, but definitely affected the food court if they arrived to eat before us.

The cheerleaders tend to clog things up there waiting in the food courts. Not eating, just sitting around, apparantly waiting for transport??? Also, outside practicing in whatever open areas they can find. The noise level that is generally loud at the values is certainly amped up. That said, it wouldn’t deter me from visiting.

"retired" Pop Warner Cheer dad here. My daughter went down from 2009-2011. Pop Warner allows teams to stay at a value and a moderate - that they have reserved ahead of time. For cheering, Pop Warner requires at least one parent to accompany a cheerleader and has a strict 10PM curfew. We always went down two days from competition, the girls had practice during the day and got free time around 1PM on. After competition all rules are over. Most people left the next day. We always stayed at the moderates.

I heard that a lot of the football teams come down with a few chaperones/coaches and stayed at the values. Many of the football teams from lower-income areas do not have park tickets.

Will you see cheerleaders at the parks? Yes, but for the most part, these are girls 8th grade and below. You can recognize them from their elaborate competition bows in their hair and excitement of being in the parks with their friends. Stunting outside of competition is a big no-no. I think the parents generally behaved worse than the kids, swarming the pool bars at all hours.

There are many, many more non-Pop Warner park guests at the parks during this time.

No, 2019. Sorry, I didn’t notice the post I responded to said 2020. They typically arrive the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend, which would be around December 5 in 2020.

I re-scheduled our trip this year specifically to avoid the Pop Warner crowd. We stayed at All-Start Sports in 2017 and while there was no real difference in the parks (from what we saw), trying to relax or go to sleep at night was ... difficult.
Kids were out playing well past 10pm and we absolutely hated being at the hotel.

This year we nabbed Pop Century and we're going before Thanksgiving.

We were at the Contemporary last year the 6th-12th and everything was fine and great until the last day and half and the crowds started getting rough. Not sure why other than just that time of year. We were happy to be leaving...
