Hi
I've done slim fast. I lost 10 lbs on it. Then I gained it back when I stopped. Then in 2002 I went to LA Weightloss and lost 35 lbs and have kept it off. I go to the gym, so that helps. Good luck and congratulations on the birth of your baby!!!

I stay away from diets- when it comes down to eat you just need to take in less calories and exercise more off. Drink lots of water. Its simple- you dont need a fad diet, pills, shakes or anything else.

I would imagine there isn't a high rate of success doing the program--it's certainly something that I couldn't do for the rest of my life. However, I do eat the SF high protein meal replacement bars for breakfast and I love them. I've lost about 10 pounds in the past year, so I suppose you could say that I had success with that SF product. I didn't have a lot to lose to begin with, but I also work out 4 x week and keep track of my daily calories.

My goal has been to be healthier and set a good example for my kids, not lose weight. I wanted to eat more lean protein--that's why I like those bars and eat them a few days per week. I don't use any other SF products because I don't care for what they give me in return. Good luck finding what works for you.

I've learned a lot about "diets" over the past few years. Basically, if you follow almost any of the brand-name diets you will lose weight. The problem is that eventually, you will want or need to go back to eating in the real world and the weight will come right back. I tried Slim Fast and lost some weight, but when I started eating normal food again it all came back (and then some).

Ther real key is eating fewer calories than you burn. It sounds very simple but many of us still struggle with mastering the concept! My goal is to stop trying "diets" and try to learn to eat normally and exercise more. That said, I have been drinking Slim Fast on the way to work some mornings. It's easy to grab and keeps me full until snack time. I think the shakes and bars can be useful if you need something quick, but I know I can't stick to the diet and keep off what I lose!

I have. It will work and I like you was not over weight by much. . . it was more for maintanence. However, I was able to keep it off after stopping Slim Fast due to my continuing to excercise. And I don't mean a lot, either. I walk (briskly) about two miles every day around my housing development. Two miles isn't a lot, and I hope to increase gradually, but you would be amazed how it works. Just make the time to do it. It takes me about 30 minutes each day. :goodvibes

my DM lost weight using the drinks for her lunch at work for several years. It helped her get use to eating a smaller lunch and now she no longer drinks the slim fast for lunch, but she eats a bowl of oatmeal (I couldn't do it) but she has had really good luck since she now eats a smaller meal.

I lost 95lbs on Slim Fast four years ago, kept 80 of it off. I did it slightly differenly tho, Slim Fast for breakfast and dinner, and a healthy lunch. This worked well for me.
