can you stilluse the disney transport to and fromthe airport that you pay for with the cruise??or do they just take you to the ship and airport?

u can get Disney cruise line bus from wdw there r pickups at the world u just tell them where u would like to go and they will arrange it for u ,,, so if u wanted to go to wdw take Mears
buy a round trip ticket and have disney cruise lines pick u up at the world and take u back to the world..... and have mears shuttle pick u up and take u to airport

if you have done the parks before, then i would say you would love a seven day cruise. If you haven't been to the parks, then you should atleast do three days there and then take a four day cruise. I just went on a three day in october, and it goes by so fast you really don't get a lot of time to enjoy the ship!

We are flying in the day before our 7 day, staying at the Hyatt at the airport, then using DCL buses to the port, and then again back to the airport after the cruise. I know there are cheaper ways, but I really love the idea of not dealing with my luggage, and they will pick it up at the Hyatt and transfer it .

Irishmom23,
Just a word of caution, we met a couple on the cruise that did just that, flew in the night before, stayed at the Hyatt and had the Hyatt transfer their bags to Disney the morning of their cruise. They should have made it to the stateroom and I'm sure that in most cases they do, but theirs never arrived before we left. They had difficulty getting any satisfaction because DCL says they never got them from the Hyatt and it was an issue that the guest needed to take up with the Hyatt. In the meantime, all they had was their carry-on. According to them, they got a real runaround from Guest Services on the ship (it was the Wonder). The reason we were especially interested is that we had originally planned to do do the very same thing but had a change in plans at the last moment, you know, the cancelled cruise.... We're planning to stay at the Hyatt next Dec when we go again, but we plan on bringing our luggage down to the luggage pick-up ourselves in the lobby the morning of the cruise.

when we stayed at the Hyatt I was also nervous about leaving our luggage at the door. We just took it down to the lobby and checked it in there to be put on the bus, and i felt a lot better doing it that way!

Thanks for the advice! I would hate to have my luggage never arrive for a 7 day cruise!

I would never trust a non-Disney hotel with baggage transfer

We had the same problem, we love Disney but we love to Cruise also. last trip we flew in on Saturday rented a car, stayed at POFQ 2 nights drove to Port Canaveral and did the 4 day Wonder, (parked the rental at the lot for $28) we had total control of our luggage untill we gave it to the porter at the ship.
After the cruise we picked up the car drove back to the Contemp. and stayed for 3 more days. We got our disney and cruise fix.
We had a great trip.
When we cruise even if we go through miami we always fly into mco and do WDW for 2 day before, drive down to the port and drive back to mco. We figure we have already paid for airfare might just as well get the most out of the trip.
We do think it is better to go to WDW before the cruise so you can relax after all that walking.

My family went on the seven day eastern 2 years ago and in june we are going on a seven day western I'm 14 and really enjoyed it i meet a lot of people so i hardley saw my parents brother, sister or cousins but it was also good because i could do my own thing with out having to say together which your family would have to do in the world I also agree that if you don't go to the world a lot u should go but that does not leave a lot of time on the ship i got so hooked i wanted to stay on the ship for a month longer but i recomend it.
