Who has booked 2011 with Complete Orlando?

Thank youuu! Just trying to compare (again)! We stayed at Coronado Springs last time which was absolutely breathtaking, especially at night, do you know what makes OKW and SS better than CS? I know its prob worth booking just for the free DDP :confused3 Debs x

I've never stayed at CS (though I'd like to one day) but we have stayed at Caribbean Beach and both Port Orleans resorts and loved them all. We loved OKW last year too and are staying at SSR this August.

The only difference I can think of is that at the DVC resorts you get a mini kitchen in the studios and a full kitchen in the other units. If you're on the DDP though, you're not going to be saving money by cooking in your room!

We loved OKW but the offer of 40% off and free dining plan was the reason we chose to stay there. That was a huge benefit and we ate in lots of places we'd never have dreamt of booking if we'd had to pay for the meals (such as the Grand Floridian ). The DDP & 40% off is an enormous saving (which is why we're doing it again this year - and looking at booking for next year too as soon as we can!)

I am for the first time seriously thinking of staying on site at SSR. 40% off and free dinning is way to good a deal to not think about.

Complete Orlando is part of Keith Prowse and is a reputable company.

My concern was being tied to reservations for dinner, but last September a couple of times we just walked up to Wolfgang Pucks and grabbed tables in the resturant straight away.

Sounds really tempting now! Trouble is we fly out for 7 nights 2 wks on fri staying offsite with a good deal, also booked DLP for Halloween, so bit tricky to try and scrape deposit for this fab offer before it runs out!! Is the weather ok beg of Aug tho? I had a friend who stayed for 2 wks end Aug couple of years ago and they didn't manage to get out of their hotel room it rained that much!!! :scared1: Can I just check your advice on what you do about the flights as well, sos to firing all these questions!!! If you are talking about going August 2011 don't worry about getting a deposit down too much yet before the offer runs out, its still available for this August, I believe the offer is available to book by 2nd August unless they have changed it.
Downside to beg of August is the crowds, usually gets quieter from around 22nd onwards but still nowhere near Xmas or Easter levels.
Weather is usually about 100 every day with a possible rain shower late afternoon but one year we had torrential rain storms the whole 2 weeks from about 3pm until 11pm, not a great year.
Flights are the difficult part. This year been the most expensive yet, some managed to get direct from London to Miami for about £400 but into Orlando its not been good, Virgin £700-800+ I opted for Delta Buisness Elite at £1,170pp more than I have ever paid but its a superb way to go, did it last August.

Cheers for the info Wayne, thats all I'm really worried about now, checked flights with Virgin for 2 Adults, 1 Teen and was approx £2,500!!! Dont want to book the hol and then come unstuck. Not sure what CO might be like to add the flights at a later date and then wouldnt have to pay for flights in one go, just add to the balance? Working out the DDP and that would add up to approx £1200 alone, so it is a brill offer! Good to know I don't need to panic too much about booking as yet too, Cheers, Debs x

Wow, well worth it then, better get saving and planning again!! My DH has got a permanent headache with all these hols lol, he just now says "wotever" :rotfl2: Debs x

I thought they were part of Attraction Tickets Direct.:confused3

Ok, I've gone and done it, SSR, 4th Aug 2011 14 nights Free DDP, couldn't wait any longer, I'm sooooo impatient :dance3 btw, where has my countdown ticker gone??

Well done on taking the plunge,it's a great feeling isn't it? I am really looking forward to trying SSR for the first time

Me too, can't wait, keep forgetting we are in FL 2 wks on fri as well, getting all sidetracked!!!!!

Hi,
I am leaving in two days for a very unexpected trip to watch the space shuttle launch next week. I've been trying to book Pop (room only) for our stay, but it's not as easy as it sounds... Disney UK has a very good deal at 52 pounds/night, but they won't let me book on short notice. Expedia costs 25 pounds/night extra and the only other site I've been able to find the 52 deal is Complete Orlando.
Do any of you know if they send vouchers by mail or if a confirmation email is sufficient to check in? There's not enough time left to send anything by mail, but I don't really want to pay the American price either ;).
Your help is much appreciated as I need to sort this out in the next few hours!

Have you tried ringing Disney.co.uk? Might be possible by phone after reading what it says on their site.

Your departure must be at least seven days away for Hotel & Ticket packages, or at least four days away for Hotel Only packages. Please adjust your dates to reflect this, or call our Disney Experts on 0870 24 24 900* to book your holiday

I have tried that, but for some reason they even need 7 days when you book by phone. I was put through to the US call centre right away and the CM said I would have to book via the US reservation line in dollars, but that's 40% more expensive than booking in pounds. If all else fails I will book the first two nights in the US and the rest in the UK, but it's a waste of money and time (check out and back in) for the same room. It just seems so ridiculous that they can't process a simple room only booking but the people sitting in the next room can :confused3.

Its never easy booking things short notice. I was stuck out in Florida over Easter with the Volcano problems. Easiest way I could book car rental was direct with the rental companies but at 2-3 times the price of UK prices. Thankfully I found Expedia would accept same day reservations.

I have just looked at Complete Orlando, went through the booking process but will only accept UK addresses so that would be no use to you.

Done a search of other companies all require longer notice for Disney hotels.
Not looking good for you.
