Who has been to Conneaut Lake Park?

I was thinking of going to Riddle Con and dropping by Conneaut Lake Park that Sunday. I would like to visit it since it fell on hard times recently and needs coaster support. Who has been here? Is it fun? More importantly, can adults ride the Little Dipper without kids?

Yep, I grew up going to Conneaut Lake Park. Haven't been there in years, though -- I think they only have a handful of rides (including the Blue Streak) open. Otherwise, they've now focused more on concerts and other events.

Wow, talk about a blast from the past! I used to go there a lot when I was little and boy, was it a big deal! We lived about an hour away and Conneaut Lake Park was the biggest amusement park around. And they had pony rides, too! Not the kind where they lead you, but a little track and you could ride by yourself. And the fun house was fun, not scary; slanted rooms, moving floors, lots of cool stuff. The Blue Streak was so big and scary and the Wild Mouse was a blast.

But I would never go back. It just couldn't compare with the memories of a child.

I, too, grew up wiht both - it's been about 2 years since we last went to Waldameer and about 6-7 for Conneaut Lake Park. My Dad's company always had their shop picnic at Conneaut.

Barry - not sure if you could get on the Little Dipper with a small child..... but when I was small - the Blue Streak seemed like it was a million miles high! And the Wild Mouse was a treat, I am extremely short - it seemed like forever before I could reach the red mark on the height requirements stick person!
