Who has been to All Star Movies?

What is it like?

Which building is closest to food court or bus stop?

Are the buses crowded at night after the park closes?

Thanks for your help.

We have been to the Movies twice. We are a family of three and the room is perfect for us in size. We also do not spend much time in the room other than to sleep and clean up. The resort itself is very welled themed and the little one really likes the giant Buzz and Woody characters as well as the other movies icons. The large pool is great for taking a break for the day and there is also a smaller pool for those more relaxing swims. The resort is very clean and layout nicely. The closet rooms to the foodcourt and the buses would be Fantasia, Dalmations and Toy Story depending on what part of those buildings they put you in. There is a nice gift shop/store onsite for those needed items and a arcade for the little ones. The buses can be somewhat crowded at night depending on what time of the year you go. However we have never had much trouble with the transportation and have never waited too long for buses to take us to the parks. The food court is a cafeteria style place and has a very good selection. It can be rather busy at certain times of the day but we always go early and avoid the crowds.

Overall we like the Movies very much, however if we were more than a family of three we would most likely try another resort with a larger room.

We stayed at the All Star Movies last February. We are going back again. We loved it. We have the idea that a hotel needs to be clean, have a few amentities (like a pool, someplace to eat), and be well kept. We don't need to be wined and dined. The All Stars are great for us. We stayed in the Dalmatian area.

We prefer a more simple restaurant, so the food court was great for us. I thought the food was awesome. Maybe a little expensive. The rooms were not overly big, but we did great with three of us. We are doing four this time. Transporation was good. We didn't have to wait long for buses. There were times when DH had to stand, but I usually had a seat with DD who was 4.

If you make a reservation you will be told that Fantasia is the preferred section. It is closest to the main pool. However, Toy Story and Dalmatian aren't much further. Don't pay the extra to stay in Fantasia.

I agree with the above posts. We stayed at ASM last November. We stayed in the Mighty Ducks section and my kids loved it (so did my wife and I)!!! This building had its own hockey themed pool, and it even had a huge Goofy (and I think Donald) as goalies in net. This section is still close to the buses and the main building. Fantasia is right outside of the main building. But it didn't matter, all the buildings are fairly close to the buses, and the restaurant. Rooms are themed great, and included two beds a round table+2 chairs, and was a decent size. We didn't spend much time in our room anyway. Food area was well layed out with a decent variety of foods (cafeteria style), and prices were reasonable.

Just an FYI.

If you are in the Mighty Ducks section of All-Star Movies, it is actually quicker and closer to go to the All-Star Music Food Court and bus stop. We did that every day in April!

The only time I had to trek all the way to the Movies bus stop was when Mears picked me up at 5:30 am!! If I had been thinking clearly, I would have asked for a pickup at Music which was closer to my room and 20 minutes later!!!
