I am trying to have a friends family nominated for a wish trip but never knew that there are so many organizations that provide wish trips. I have look at "Give the Kids the World" and am a bit hesitant because it is offsite. "make a Wish :" does much more then WDW. I am afraid to nominate this family without having some first hand knowledge of the organizations ...you are only allowed one "wish" trip so I want to make sure it's the
best! Any suggestions...
Thanks!

there is a radio show based in dallas, tx that takes a bunch of families to wdw every year. the organinzation is called "kidd's kids". i dont know a whole lot about it, but they do stay at the swan, i think they stay from friday to monday. they have a website you can visit at www.kiddskids.com. you can also get an application there. i hope this helps. hope your friend's family gets to go. this is a very nice thing you are doing. good luck.

We have not have a wish trip, but several frequent disABILITIES Board posters have.
GKTW is the main place for WDW wishes. It's a whole resort set up to be accessible and geared toward families on WISH trips. It is also the main place used by Make A Wish for WDW trips. Everything is provided, including wheelchairs if needed, food and transportation. They have WDW characters that come over for character meals and the whole resort is fairy tale themed.
If you haven't been to their website, take a visit: www.gktw.org
WDW is also one of the founding sponsors of GKTW.

Hi, I hope I'm not too late in posting this. My daughter was granted a wish through Make A Wish. We went to Florida in November. We stayed at Give Kids The World Village. Let me tell you, it was an unbelievable experience. Make A Wish provided a rental van for us so staying off site wasn't a problem for us. Actually, the village has a shuttle service that would have taken us to the parks, but we preferred having our own vehicle. The village was WONDERFUL! We stayed in a two bedroom villa. They have a pool (actually 2 pools), restaurant, movie theater, ice cream parlor, game room....so much that my then 11 year old son would have preferred to just stay there instead of going to the parks! We got tickets to visit all the disney parks, universal studios and sea world, they had gifts waiting for the kids every night when we got back...and so much more. If you have any other questions, let me know and I'll see if I can answer them. I just wanted you to know that staying at GKTW was one of the highlights of the trip.

Thanks, meeshi.
I was hoping someone who stayed there would answer. Everyone who has posted about their experience has had the same words:
t was an unbelievable experience
