Who has a PS for LTT on 10/17 during MNSSHP

Hi guys, I need a little help here with some dining dilemas. During all my trip planning, our trip wich originally started out being just 6 people has now turned into 18 people! If you can believe that! The problem is that I had already gotten a PS for the original 6 travelers at the LTT on 10/17, well when the party grew I called back and got another PS for LTT on 10/17 for 5 more people, well here is where the problem begins, that only equals 11 total people and when I called back to see about getting another PS, there is nothing available at our time, which is 5:30, the only times they had were 4:15 and 7:05, neither would work, so WHAT DO I DO NOW!! I need another PS for an additional 7 people, should I cancel and go somewhere else or tell the additional people they are on their own, I really want to eat there because we never have and I think it will be a great way to kick off the evening,Guys what should I do?? They told me to keep checking back for cancellations, but really what is the possibility that a party of seven or two parties cancel on the same day?? What should I do about this ??

It's not the end of the world.

If you want to, keep checking for cancellations but I'd just book another restaurant at 90 day out at either Crystal Palace, The Castle or Tony's so you can all eat together.

At 90 days some may switch to those restaurants freeing up LTT too so call right at 90 days for LTT and book another restaurant then if you can't get LTT.

I say keep YOUR original plans. Is this mean of me? But you say when you started it was just your small group. Why should you change plans you really really really want to do?

On our last trip to the world, my dad and stepmom decided to join our family at the last minute. That was great and we had no problems with it, but I let them know that I had made a LOT of PS's. Some I could add them on to, some I could not. They were extremely understanding about it and made their own plans for dining during those times.

Perhaps if you explained the situation, then the others could maybe try Crystal Palace for the same time. You won't dine together, but at least you'll all be in the same park at the same time! Give it a try and see what they say.

Well, I guess I am going to keep my original plans and stick with the LTT because me and my kids are really excited about eating there and Goofy is one of my kid's fave's and they are really pumped up about seeing him on the Halloween party night. You should have seen the problems it caused in March when my son recieved a Goofy ticket and my daughter recieved a Minnie ticket, I thought my dh was going to die, even though she really loves all the characters. I kind of feel bad about everyone not dining together, but deep down I have this feeling that even though some of them have said they are going, they might not want to do MNSSHP or at least not do everything that we do. At the same time I don't want to feel responsible for making everyone else's trip plans. They all don't understand what it is like at WDW, especially my dh's grandparents...they all probably wouldn't have known about PS's for restaurants or MNSSHP if I hadn't known. Well, here is the deal I think will happen for my ressies for 11 people......me, dh, dd,ds,mom, mil..original 6 .....additional 5....dh's gp,gm,bil,sil,nephew.......that still leaves my dh's aunt, dh cousin, dh cousin's dh, and baby, and also dh's sister and her boyfriend(they are supposed to be leaving on Sunday so I'm not sweatin them plus they probably wouldn't go with us anyways) and the aunt, cousin and so on they really will be the only ones on their own, but maybe they'd rather eat at Cp or possibly can find a PS for the LTT on their own. Thanks for reading my incohherent ramblings on.....I am excited that we are all having this one big massive trip but ....to tell you the truth I don't care at all if they all said sorry but we changed our mind and were not going....I'll be there and so will my dh, dd, ds, mom and mil, and unlike most my mil and I have a wonderful relationship and I am so glad that she and my mom are going. Thanks for the opinions, I guess I just needed that to let my own true feelings come through....I knew what to do all along I guess...I just needed to feel like It wasn't a terrible thing....but to be nice I will call back and see if there are any cancellations,,

I would keep your plans and give them the phone number for wdw-dine. Tell them if they decide they want to join you for dinner, keep calling and see if they can get a PS. I have found that people do not realize how hard the planner works and b/c they don't realize all the trouble you go to for them, they EASILY change their minds, which means that you wasted your gift of time to them. You are still giving them the gift of your planning, which is VALUABLE! You might also suggest that if they can't get in at LTT, there is another wonderful meal that they could do at Crystal Palace. Maybe you could all sit down later at the party and enjoy a special dessert together or something.
By the way, we will be there with our group of 9. At 4:00, which is fine with me.

DW and I love LTT. It is our favorite character meal. It is especially special before MNSSHP as the characters also dress for the party. Keep those PSs. However, you made mention that you have a Goofy fan as part of your reason for staying with LTT. When WDW started the new Goofy show at the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon, Goofy no longer made appearances at LTT. Since that time, we have been twice for dinner. The first time, the character lineup was Minnie, Pluto, Daisy and Donald. The second time (December 2003 trip), we ate with Pluto, Minnie, Meeko, Chip & Dale. Perhaps Goofy makes a special appearance for MNSSHP nights at LTT but you may want to be careful about getting the little one's hope up about seeing Goofy there. He did not make a special appearance when we ate there in Dec 2003 just prior to MVMCP. Perhaps somebody out there knows if he showed up for MNSSHP nights back in October 2003?

You can have a PS for LTT ober 90 days out?? I thought all places were 90 days out?

We are planing on going to MNSSHP Oct 20th and I was thinking about booking LTT that night.... Am I SOL???

Yes, fo the past couple of years they have let party goers (of MNSSHP and MVMCP) book LTT when they purchase their tickets. It fills up fast!

Then at 90 days, you can book CP, the Castle, and Tony's.

Not sure what time you had your heart set on eating (and you can still wait for CP and the Castle) but 4:30p isn't bad...when you are done you have extra time before the party starts....they let you in after 4:00p with JUST your party tickets.

Just a thought.

I did take the 430 PS

But now I need to shift stuff around. We were thinking about doing the Pirate Cruise at the GF that morning, but now I think we will skip that and sleep in.... or do I wake them up super early and play hard in the pool in hopes for a nap..... My girls are 5 and as good as 4.

So much to do, so little time and the timing rules everything!
