Who gets credit ?

This is my first post on this great site, and I want to thank all for the great info. We are going on the Magic, 12/10/05, five adults and 3 year old GD.My question is, if I pay for SW tickets,and lower fare comes out. I cancel and buy lower price tickets, who does the credit go to, the person that paid for tickets, or the name on the ticket. Thanks again everyone for all the info.

The credit ends up being what's called Ticketless Travel Funds. In reality, it can be used by anyone who has the original confirmation number and the name on the original credit card used to book the flight.

As an example, I booked a lfight for my mother for August that she did not use. If I were to give my sister the confirmation number of the cancelled ticket, and the name I typed in for my credit card, my sister could use the credit. THey're really flexible. Gotta love SWA

If it's the same amount to book one way, as it is to do RT, than book them as OW. I booked DD and BIL on a RT flight and a DING came out for the back 1/2 but I can't change or cancel the return without it cancelling the outbound, and there's no more cheap flights for the outbound. This is the first time this has happened to me, but from now on I plan to make sure it doesn't happen again.
