who finds the 9 hour flight heavy going?

If it's any consolation to you, I have the unenviable ability to wake myself up with my own snoring.

That's funny, when I've been snoring I wake up with a pain in the ribs. Can't work out why. Perhaps I'll ask the wife. She's always awake when I get this pain.

I snore to but the worse thing is I can talk in my sleep.

Quickie, not really relevant.

My mum was snoring sooo loud in hospital when she had a kidney whipped out you could here it all the way down the corridor. And to make it worse she had a oxygen mask thing on so she also sounded like Darth Vadar.

hello u again!

Yes, i'm fine with the trip out there cos i'm just so excited and the stress lifts with the take off (like have I forgotten anything cos now too late!) except the for the last trip which was just after 9/11 - that was a bit too stressful but had a fab time non the less. on the way back i get quite fed up from when i get up on the last date cos i hate everything about going home - from packing to flying to the trek home from airport and unpacking....need i go on. I don't get much rest on the plane, especially as we had 2 children behind us kicking the seats for the whole 8 hours!!! and i try and keep awake until as late as possible. The jet lag for me lasts about a week and it makes me feel a bit sick - sleeping and eating all over the place.

BUT HEY IT'S WORTH ALL OF IT!!!!

I am not so bad on the journey out there, but really suffer on the way home. Takes about a week to 10 days to recover!!!

I cannot sleep on the plane, would love to be able to but the most I have ever slept is 5 minutes!

I have to go to bed when I get home just for an hour or two as I feel so sick from tiredness and all the travel pills.

Everytime I get home from Disney I say I never want to do that flight again, then two weeks later I re-book!!!!

I find drinking lots of water on the flight home helps a little.

I have a lot of trouble sleeping on flights too. For my next long haul I'm thinking about taking a sleeping pill. I've never used them before, but I've found it's so important to get enough sleep.
