Except for the fact that Florida hasn't been all that warm and sunny, I agree that it would be a nice place to be.

It has actually been very nice here except for the past 2 days or so.

I've been busy gathering Alex's junk. He is moving into his very own first house on the weekend.

Here's my chance to get rid of stuff

We are heading out to help him and Steph with the move this weekend. While we are there we are going to have our family Easter dinner

Ann, are you back yet? How was your turducken?

Yes Robin, thank you!, but I was waiting all weekend for the 'other shoe to drop' so to speak. She went home Friday night, and is still awaiting her pics to be developed, so to speak. She says she feels better, finally, but she's said that before, and has to stay gluten & dairy free, even tho those tests showed no allergies for those. She isn't happy about that, but she's willing to take the 'test' this time. She said she almost went back in Sat AM, but gave the meds some time to work their magic. This is definately a test of time!

Here's Sarasota. We had SO much fun! Every where we went on St. Armand's & Longboat Key, they had statues & sculptures! We had a GREAT time. Tons to do and some really great restaurants!

The turducken was good, but I don't have to have it again....but glad I did it! We found some real mom&pop hole-in-the-wall joints with the best food!

Also, did you know that Sarasota has a thriving Amish community? We had breakfast at one of their restaurants....it was delicious, but surprising!

Holly was a great little traveler and we can't wait to head to our next adventure!

Kelly has her academic fair at school Thurs night, and she chose Walt Disney!! Even I learned a thing or two, but then again, I shared a thing or two with her, as well!

Kelly took 3rd place on her Walt Disney project, with just ONE tidbit from me (thanks to DISers here), and my Mickey dolls as part of the presentation (Indiana Jones, Luke & Darth Vader and, my Cubs Mickey). She did ALL of that project, and we're very proud of her!

We are back from WDW...Had a fun time, but it was cold most days...David only got to swim once...and he was sick our last day there...we went to MK anyway and he did fine.

He has been laid off for over a year now, with little hope of a job in the future..at 54, there just arn't many places that will consider him over a younger person, even with his experience.

I don't know if you have kept up with the TKers, so I'll let you know I now have a job at an animal hosp. I'm a receptionist, and I write their newsletter..I have been sending it to my TKer friends..Have I sent one to you?...I don't remember...Its an age thing If not and you would like one..Just let me know and Ill add you to my sending list.

Yes unfortunately I can tell you where a couple of them are.

Do you know that the hospital bills from Liz's visit in July have still not been paid by the insurance company I don't what the heck is taking them so long to clear this all up.

I have been away since Friday morning. Alex moved into his very first home (with mortgage payments, just like a real grown-up )

Hello how's everyone doing? doing good here... same ole same ole... work all week...and catch up on sleep on the weekends.

I have been popping on and off my laptop, in between getting home from the trip, getting back into work stuff, and planning for our big Easter party...
It's been a little crazy
No need for a hosp., Just had him take some childrens ibuprofen, went slow and went back to the resort around 3ish...He actually did quite well.

The trip was a lot of fun...Even with David not feeling well, and being a pants and sweatshirts trip..
We have friends that were going at the same time ...so we spent most of our time with them..They have a boy a little older then David ..so it turned out well.

David did TOT 3 times!...This is a big deal as his older DBs would NOT, when we took them a couple of years ago....LOL Mikey tried, but didn't make it..got scared, so he and Mike took an exit out, by the elevators....So David LOVED telling them what a fun ride it was, and that it was a piece of cake!...LOL

On our last day, we had dinner at the resort (seeing as David was not up to par), then we went on a horse drawn carriage ride along the river...It was very nice.
We saw an otter swimming down river! The driver said it was only the 2nd time she has seen one in the 17 years she has been driving there. Of course by the time I grabbed my camera it was gone.

I will try to post pics of our fun ASAP.

I ended up having another CT scan yesterday. I called the doctor's office last week to ask for an appointment to get some questions answered before my surgery and found out they wanted me to go for another CT scan.

I certainly did not expect it to happen so quickly though.

Looks like the weather around here is going to be fabulous for the upcoming weekend. I'm so looking forward to that.

I think everything is fine.

I think they just wanted to get another scan because it has been 9 months since the last scan.

Probably just wants to make sure nothing has changed since then.

I have an appointment on April 20th to talk to the doctor to get answers to any questions I have before the surgery. So I guess I will find out then if there are any changes to the scan.
