Look like a another possible rainy weekend in NJ. Lets all get the boats out.

Here too Sleeping Aurora! Yesterday was our break day. The weather was cactually nice for a day.

Yesterday was a rainy day, today is supposed to be a rainy day :umbrella:

The poor little pumpkin plants in the field behind my house are all swimming:eek:

The forecast for tomorrow right up until next Friday is beautiful sunshine and nice warm temps in the upper 70's, lower 80's :woohoo:

I hope they are right.

Today is the day that Liz packs her car and leaves home for the summer.:car:

Well for 3 weeks first and then she comes home for our visit with Mickey.

Then it's back to camp for her for another 4 weeks.

After that she will come home and pack up and move off into her new apartment to return to school next year.:teacher:

Other than seeing her off this morning, I have no real plans for the weekend. I will just take things as they come.

Anybody got any exciting plans?

Tell Liz to have a safe trip to camp!

My big plans for the day...work!:sad1:

I hear you on the rain. Usually we've had our flowers planted for a month by now. I still haven;t gone to the farmers market to get any flowers because every week the prediction is for so much rain and I'm afraid that the flowers will drown. I guess I'll have to pick up some hanging baskets this week so we have some flowers for my daughter's graduation party next Saturday!

I also have not planted any flowers yet and have usually got it done by now.

The weather just has not been very motivating for doing that.

Hopefully this week, if not then I guess it will be a no flower year:flower3:

Still pouring rain here! Where the heck is everyone?????

I'm here! Sunny and HOT here! Tomorrow's going to be 100...in Northern Florida! We're having a heat wave.

I spent a quiet day with DH and I'm making him a special dinner tomorrow. Then Monday, I'll be doing the heavy cooking for the wedding on Saturday.

:confused3 I don't know where everyone has disappeared to. :guilty:

Seems that our thread is slowly dying off.

Have a great day tomorrow Ann.

It was very hot and muggy here today. Felt like you were walking into a brick wall of heat everytime you went out the door.

Alex had an accident with his ambulance today at work.

They were going lights and sirens on a call and someone t-boned them at an intersection:eek:

It was a good thing they were on the way there so no one was loose in the back of the ambulance, they were both belted in the front seat.

They had approached the intersection slowed to check and someone came thru and hit them. Alex was not driving, which is a good thing since he is till on probation;)

No one was injured which is also a good thing. Apparently there was major damage to the front end of the car but not a scratch on the ambulance:goodvibes

There was a very good witness who saw it happen and said the lady who hit them should have been able to clearly see and hear the ambulance.

No charges were laid.

I'm just glad that they are all okay. It can be such a dangerous job:guilty:

To all you Daddies out there....:teeth: :wave2:

Oh no Robin! He's good then right?

John is spending quality time with his dad at the ER right now. Dad twisted his already fractured and healing foot.

My cheesecake flopped. The center is soft. I couldn't find our Ann's recipe so I used a cookbook-Big Mistake! Oh yeah, I burned the top of it too :(

I just finished my intro to theatre class and have only one to work on til July 1st. The Magicmeet planning has picked up steam - only six more weeks believe it or not! oh yeah, and I am still trudging thru the Travel Coordinator training - Now that I have freed up time I need to freshen up on the system training so I can get all my bookings in to the boss.

Happy Father's Day everyone!

TW - I'll re-send the cheesecake recipe. I read the PM first.

Robin - I'm SO relieved Alex is okay. People just don't pay attention to sirens anymore and I don't understand that.

I have a father's day dinner in the oven for DH. I made pork chops stuffed with a prosciutto, sage, apricot butter and they are roasting on a bed of fingerling potatoes that have garlic, sage & pancetta. Then I'll serve it with broccoli rabe.

I hope everyone is having a great day....gotta run!

Robin, so glad ALex is ok. Sorry I missed that post. I think it's because last night when I was on the DIS they shut down for maintenance. SO this morning when I checked on the subscribed threads it took me to later posts. That must have been scary!

SOunds delicious. We took DH to Red Lobster for lunch and he said for dinner he just wants sandwiches, because lunch was so filling!:thumbsup2 I guess I got off easy. I love fingerling potatoes!

I think he favored his orginal boo boo a bit too much and twisted his foot while limping. He's got a half cast on now, on his totally new injury-he's supposed to check with his regular doc tomorrow to see what to do next~

Oooh....I hope not! TW, hope he has a speedy recovery. PM sent.

PD - I love fingerling potatoes, too. The pancetta & garlic really made them tasty.

Tomorrow starts the countdown for cooking for the wedding (making the perishables). I'm making bacon, chive, pecan mini cheeseballs and truffles tomorrow.

Off to do the dishes!
