A question to Ann and those of you who have been in Florida in the past while?

Do I need to bother bringing long pants and a sweater

I figure if I get cold I can always buy a sweat shirt but just thought I'd ask for your opinions.

According to the weather it's not going be all that cool at night.

I would bring long pants only if you're going to a nicer restaurant. I always have a light sweater in the car for cold restaurants or cold evenings. Other than that ~ don't bother!

I, too, won't do Mission Space or Rockin' Roller Coaster....so if it was just you & me in the park, all we'd do is stand in line and there are PLENTY of places to stand in line!

We have no plans on eating anywhere really fancy.

I have a feeling we will leave our timeshare in the morning and return late at night. Not likely to be doing much changing of clothes in between.

I have done both Mission Space and Rockin Roller Coaster and once was definitely enough.

I was just grateful that we had to wait at the end of Rockin Roller Coaster for them to unload a handicapped rider.

It gave me a good long time to sit and let the world go back to semi normal before I had to get out

Hiya my threadkillers!

Classes and Magicmeets keeps me plenty busy lately, looks like lots of threadkillers headed to FL soon??? My son and his Katy are headed down and staying at SOG with Mom. Mom's doin like 10-11 days, the kids are gonna do a long weekend with her. Can't beat the park ticket price, SOG is offering family passes for 5 days at WDW to them for $99 each. As a retiree, Mom gets her five days for free!

It's a military resort on Disney property within walking distance of the Poly~It can only be reserved by active and retired military personnel. Mom likes it alot, I have stayed there twice now.

That's so cool. I can't believe i've never heard of it. So you can book the resort if you've served in the military? My dad was a Marine so I should mention it to him.

Kim, thanks for asking about me.

The CT scan was okay. Before the scan they made me drink this large jug of red stuff.

It neither tasted good nor bad but was mainly tolerable. Found out later it was Kool-Aid mixed with the contrasting agent to show up your internal organs.

They also used an IV to insert some other interesting stuff partway thru the scan.

I survived just fine but for the rest of the day my stomach was gurgling like crazy I'm thinking from the "tainted" KoolAid

Well, today I've got things to do, places to go and people to see.

Just busy running around and getting things done before we leave.

We have no set leaving time for tonight since we are just going to the hotel near the airport.

I would kind of like to do it in the daylight but time will tell on that one.

Liz is not home from camp yet. She called and said traffic thru Toronto was stop and go. So hopefully it's going more than stopping.

Hello Tkers!

Loooooong day yesterday. Dad is having his cataract in the right eye operated on the end of the month. BUT the pre op stuff ya gotta do before hand is reeeeeeeeeeediculous. Blood tests, Ekg, Dr appointments & approvals...etc. And everything is in a different place. I like the old days when the ONE hospital did everything at one time.

Also had to return my old broken phone, but had to go to a specific Fedex Office which was 15 miles away, and drop it off there. This office was one of those "jack of all trade" offices. Sent UPS, Fedex, sold Car insurance, distributed Licence plates...and sold Candy on the side. I was on line 1 hr. Drove me nuts.

Anyhooooo me and James went to the new Sonic restraunt (you eat in your car) and then went to see Public Enemies, which was soooooooooooooooooo GOOD! If true...the FBI killed more innocent people then the Bad guys ever did.

I don't understand the problem here?

UGH! Long story...but I will shorten it. Went to the Verizon Kiosk had a GREAT salesman, etc.....told me all the discounts (from work) etc. Spent about 1 hour with me & James showing us the phone. He was wonderful. I just couldnt do anything that day, cause my contract didnt end until 7/7.

So I went back yesterday. The great Salesman is no longer working there. They had some ditz who didnt know what she was talking about. The Blackberry Storms are marked $148 (wetaher that is with the 50 bucks off or not...still not sure) she was charging me $498 for 2 BB Storms! I could not figure out where that price came from. She also couldnt update my account on the system. I told her 7 times I DONT HAVE A ACCOUNT WITH VERIZON WIRELESS, so there is NO account to update. She wasnt even listening to me. She stood litterally 20 mins trying to find me on the computer. I walked out and went to the ATT store.

Got two 8gig iphones for $99 each, and with 700 carryover mins, and unlimited texting web...yadda yadda it will cost (with co discount) about $105 each month for both me & James.
