We got a good amount of snow. John went to work, but both my kids are here. Adrian is cleaning...but o m g...he absolutely has his own method.

TLM - It's nice to see you again! I'm glad your daughter is doing well. Did you cry the first day your dropped her off at pre-school? My daughter did!

DP - I second DU! Good luck with the jobs....I still have my fingers crossed.

TW - I HAVE to send Tom out of the house when I clean. I have my own method and his method drives me crazy!

DU - I think Pongo lived in Okeefenokee, not Okechobee. I may be wrong, tho. If I could talk Tom into Merry Maids, I'd be set! I hope things are settling down.

SA - How are things for you? I think everyone is getting snow, but me right now...but it's cold here, too!

Well, I made an Emerald Isle Stew for dinner and blueberry cobbler for dessert. The stew was good - but I used a double stout beer in it instead of regular stout....it was a bit strong. Took Hollydog to get her stitches out and gave her a bath this afternoon and changed the sheets. I also did grocery shopping. Tomorrow, I'm taking my folks to the airport. They're headed to Vegas for a week. They are going to stop in AZ to see Beth (my step-sister) and my brother is meeting them in Vegas from San Diego. They LOVE Vegas!

Cally, what the heck was up with that snow. We were driving thru your area just about the time of the day that you posted here.

The snow was something else for that part of Georgia, just like the blizzards at home that we were trying to escape



Well we have made it to Florida safely.

It's not all that warm here either but thankfully now snow. There is actually frost on the truck this morning.

Rick has been sick with some sort of stomach flu since yesterday. He seems much better today though, so hopefully they can get out to fly their planes.

I have access to a laptop and internet, so I will check in everynow and again to see what's happening here.

It's supposed to be sunny and get upwards to 60 degrees today, so I will try to get out and enjoy some of the sunshine.

I am a Neatnick too. Sadly I dont live with Neatnicks! I thought it was weird having strangers come in and "touch" your stuff...BUT one gets use too it at the snap of a finger!

Me my new Kindle2! Im on my 2nd book, about the Johnstown Flood. I either read mostly History books or Biographies. It's nice to know that other people have lifes! My Auto Biography will be what I "Dised" on certain days, and exceprts from TV Guide!

I really like not having many feet of snow on the ground for the entire season...I only gripe cause hubby won't let us move For some reason he likes it here

I was seriously thinking about signing on for the Disney College Prgram *just* to get one winter completely devoid of snow. I can handle the 40 to 50's they get on a cold day~I HATE the 10s and 20s we gotta deal with here in the northeast

TW you got me will post pic here tonight for all to see. All ran in old friend have not seen in a year he remarked how happy i am. Yahoo.

Hollyann things are crazy for me i am a single parent of a 14 year old and a 8 year old. I dont ask for help for the ex cause he is a J. If you know what I mean.

Hello TKers,

We didnt get much snow at all really...BUT it got VERY cold here..single digits with wind chills around -15 / -20 degrees.. They said frostbite could happen within 30 mins. on exposed skin...Yikes!

We are now in a warming trend. ..its almost 30 degrees ....LOL

Well today I have kept myself busy with laundry and .....

I made another big pot of chicken soup....Turned out well..

It works out great ..as I buy a couple nice big roasted chicken..and have one, that night, then..make chicken noodle cassarole with the left overs , the next night..Than make a big pot of soup with all the left overs the next night...
the chicken soup will last quite a few nights too...

I know its ALOT of chicken, but we end up with very little waste, and if I get too tired of chicken ..then I'll stick it in the freezer and save it for a week or two..and feed the DGKs with it when they come for a visit...

The temps are up nearer to 70 and the sun is mostly shining.

Rick is feel all better now and is off flying his plane.

We women have gone out and gotten a rental car until Friday morning so that we are not stuck at the house if we want to get out.

Today we did a bit of shopping and are now back and planning on enjoying what warmth and sunshine is left in the day.
