How's it going? :)

I'm definately a Pacific Northwesterner - I love the rain and I say pop instead of soda :rotfl:

Going okay here, not out midnight shopping tonight:thumbsup2

I don't love the rain but I do say pop instead of soda, unless of course I am in Florida and then I know better.

People love to make fun of that! At least I don't call all soda coke.

Yesterday while I was spreading JOY throughout the house and decorating for Christmas...The PHONE RINGS. It was a Urology Office confirming a appointment for Pops. (this was after the 'letter)

Pops is a bit of a "Drama Papa", he likes going to Doctors!:confused3 He is concerned about that he gets up 3 times a night to go to the bathroom. HE IS 80! Last year the Urologist told him THATS WHAT 79 years olds do!

SIDENOTE: How he slips these appointments in when I aint around is truly remarkable. I dont know how he does it.

Anyhoooo I asked him what is the Urologist going to do? He was MIFFED that i was asking him. So he answered me, in rather a corse manner and answered me as to what the procedure for a Proctologist ususally does.

I told him that if he goes to a Urologist and that Dr performs "proctology things'...the ONLY things that means is that I now have 2 Daddies!!!!

I agree, if you have someone that washes depends, it's time to find another service. Gotta give her half credit for washing them, tho!

Your one of those "cup half empty people' arent ya????:lmao:

:lmao: Bwaaaahahahahahaha! :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That is the first thing I saw this morning and I am laughing so hard. Started my day off on a good note! Thanks Colleen!

We got tons of rain and the trees iced up (very pretty), but the roads never got icy. We do have flood watch today and lots of limbs are down, so the kids have a "snow" day today. I was supposed to go to a conference in Albany, but they got the ice and all the schools are closed up there so I decided to cancel my conference reservation and I am making this a long weekend. Hopefully I will make my cards this weekend and send out early next week. I still need to think of a design concept. I have lots of ideas rolling around in my brain, I just have to pick one!

Betsy~Did Mike get home ok?

DU~ I don't think you shared the depends story, because I am sure I would have remembered that one!:lmao: I agree no point in paying more for something that is just causing you more aggrevation!:scared1: Reminds me of DH's health insurance this year. We had to decide which plan we were going to use by November 15....but they couldn't tell us what our share of the premium would be.:confused3 Talk about frustrating!!! We just stayed with all the plans (health, dental and vision) we already had because they work well for us. A few weeks later we found out no raise in our share of premiums, but also no raises this year!

Sewer ~ 1,000 posts ~ about time!!!!! You joined a month before me and look at my post count...you must have a more interesting life than I do!:rotfl:

SWTD ~ I didn't know you were from the Northwest. I really want to visit your area of the country. We have a good friend from Seattle, who is transplanted here. He helped my DH coach a little league softball team. We palyed in the pooring rain one game. The girls were soaked and he said "hey they are soaked already lets keep playing." All of us upstate NYers were like :scared1: . We played the whole game, the girls had an absolute blast. It was a game I will never forget! He explained that your rain is like our snow, you go out and play in it and just come back in and change when your clothes get too wet. He also said that he never had an umbrella when he lived there cause what was the point.

Ann~ we don't say y'all here (see where I place the apostophe;) ) My oldest daughter uses it all t time tho. WHen she was in middle school she went to a leadership conference in Washington DC. There were lots of southerners there and she just picked it up.

Robin~ That coke thing cracks me up too! We went to visit friends who moved from here to Indiana, they warded us that if we wanted orange soda we had to order orange coke. So if you actually want coke do you have to order coke coke?:rotfl: :confused3 We just say soda here.

I have most, but not all of your addresses I think I need SWTD, Brenda and Norton's. PM me if you want a card!

Morning all.

Lots of chuckles here this morning to start my day.

The guys at work are having a bbq for lunch so I'm off to join in the fun there.

Have a good day everyone.

Just to let everyone know Mike was just fine...Thanks for caring:grouphug:. He really is a great driver for that kind of weather...Im just a worrier, when it comes to driving it that...Ya just never know when you will hit an icy spot...or someone else does and comes flying ito you...
Sorry I left you all hanging...or ya'll,....or y'all.....:teeth:

I have never understood the people who called all soda, coke...But I have been know to call all tissues, Kleenex:upsidedow

We are basicly snowed in...not that we got alot of snow, but with a few inches or so of snow on the layer of ice...its pretty slippery out there this morning..and I was just walking...:santa: It is suppose to stop soon, tho.

We are getting a boarder today:dog:...My DSis, and DBIL, are making a trip to the west coast by car:drive: for a visit to my DN (the one who works for Disney).
So we are taking care of their dog for three weeks..Waldo is a week younger then Albert, and they have been buddies there whole lives...

Well we just got a call and Waldo wont be coming til 5ish. So we are going to brave the snow and hope the sand trucks have been busy all night, and go into town. Food shopping, among other stops...:car:

Stay warm:cold: everyonepixiedust:

You are very welcome PD!

I saw that on someone else's sig and just *had* to share~

When I want a soda, I say Pepsi Please ;)

At Disney I drink chocolate milk, water and if I reallllly want a soda, cherry coke (they don't sell pepsi at WDW and I really don't care for coca-cola :( )

My son totally trashed his room upstairs. With him living most of his week in Philly and just staying here from time to time it's embarrassing how bad he's keeping his room. Guess what I'll be working on all day  My best bet would probably be to put an outside trashcan under the window by his room and just dump.

We have warm temps with our rain, thank goodness.

Happy Friday my threadkillers!

Betsy, around here all facial tissues are referred to as Kleenex, so I guess there would be some who wouldn't understand that. Like we don't understand the orange coke thingy:rotfl:

Colleen, sounds like your son is just like my son;)

Every now and again I go in there and shove everything to the outside edges of the room so that at least the middle of the floor is walkable.:sad2:

I wouldn't mind it so much if it were just clothing and his crap...

I walked in to orange peel on the sofa arm and old yogurt cups and dirty dishwear...that's where I draw the line. I am already done and now working on my pile. I have a library book to pick up for John and one to drop off. I am reading The Pixar Touch and DH asked me to p/u Journey to the Center of the Earth for him after we watched the Brendan Frasier movie version. It was out. I like how I can request an email when the book is returned and know they have it for me when I get there. ::yes::

We watched Kung Fu Panda, it's incredibly funny. I don't buy movies unless I realllllly like em and this one is now on my list :) We also watched stepbrothers. Totally a guy movie. Will Farrell is in it. It's literally like watching two forty year olds that act 12 *and* still live with their parents. John and Adrian liked it. My son said he owns it.

This is what I asked Santa for:

I want all the all the original Disney movies: we need DVDs to replace VHSs on - Cinderella, Nightmare before Christmas, Pocohontas, Dalmations, Sleeping Beauty, James and the Giant Peach, Beauty and the Beast and the original Fantasia. (I have Alice, Snow White, Fantasia 2000 and Dumbo.)

All the Pixar's we don't have are on my list too: Cars, Incredibles and Wall-E are the only three I can think of that I don't have. We have: Nemo, Monsters, Toy Story 2, Ratatouille, Meet the Robinsons.

What am I missing?

...and I'm talking full length orignals~

Of course I had to simplify that for John...

He kinda had that blank stare after I said all that...

So I said Wall-E and Nightmare before Christmas.

Wall-E's for me, I really want that movie.

Nightmare is for John. Can you believe he's never seen it!?!
