That's awesome! I'm glad you're going back. Tom and I go on Saturdays so we have Sunday free to sleep in!

Now I am not a religious person at all. Don't go to church nor even believe that there is a god.

BUT the sentiment in this little poem that I received by email is a good one.

It very much describes what we do here.

I'd be completely lost without my friends in my "little metal box":goodvibes

I thought you guys might enjoy it too.

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.com

That's a lovely poem :)

I'm supposed to be going to the airport in an hour and it just started snowing :scared:

Looks like the weather is moving north,

hopefully you have a safe and happy flight home~

It *was* a nice a day out even tho the weather was really, really crappy.

Weather is crappy here too today.

Raining/snowing depending on where you are and quite chilly.

Could turn into a major mess by morning.

WOW I missed alot in 2 days!!!!

I am just out of it today, just playing catchup today.......Gonna have to sit down and pay bills sooner or later ....Right?:confused3

Morning Ann and Robin and all the TKers. I'm off to church. Haven't been in 2 years. Our old minister who we all adored retired then and the interim wasn't especially inspiring, so I have worshipped at the church of St. Mattress for the past couple of years. Today our new pastor starts and he is supposed to be incredible. He was a pastor at another church in area several years ago and then went to NJ for several years and now he's back in our area at our church. Bonus is that it is the start of advent and I love the advent season! Cath ya all later!

 Former Altar Boy checkin in on a Christmas Miracle.:yay: Did ya see me in the back row?:confused3

Hiya Threadkillers!

Robin - that was a cute poem...I loved it!

DU - I'll make you oreo truffles, but they don't ship well...they are SO soft and melty.

We've had ugly weather here, too. I've been somewhat busy for the party on Tuesday (for the Bunco group) and I know tomorrow will be more of the same.

We had a friend's daughter call us and she is visiting us on the 10th of December, so I have to get the guest bedroom in order, too. She's a sweetheart and we always try to spoil her when she's here.

I hope you have a great night and a good week next week!

Good afternoon threadkillers.

Not too much happening around here today.

Doing some laundry and straightening things up a bit.

Dance classes tonight.

...FWIW and IHMO...taking pics at the Zoo is alot less depressing :-\

Hi everyone~

Robin - WOW! That would be so scary! The weather was pretty rough here in Florida yesterday...

TW - Awesome pics! You have some real talent....looks like it was a fun trip for you!

I just returned from the movies (I'm ahead of schedule and was able to slip it in). I saw "Twilight". I liked it. A lot of people poo-pooed it because it was full of long romantic looks and teen angst....that's pretty much how the book went, tho. The books were amazing - I'd see the sequel!

I'm going to wrap silverware in napkins, but I have to iron them and the table cloths tonight. Ya'll take care!

Hubby and me went to Cabelas with Rose and Ed,

it's one big giant guys toys chest...seriously.

I love that store! James lives 10 minutes away from there.

Yikes.

Ok Read this story & it CRACKED ME UP BIG TIME....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao:

Wounded deer attacks hunter who shot him
SEDALIA, Mo. — A Sedalia hunter bagged a big buck on the second day of firearms season, but the kill caused him a lot of pain.

Forty-nine-year-old Randy Goodman said he thought two well-placed shots with his .270-caliber rifle had killed the buck on Nov. 19. Goodman said the deer looked dead to him, but seconds later the nine-point, 240-pound animal came to life.

The buck rose up, knocked Goodman down and attacked him with his antlers in what the veteran hunter called "15 seconds of hell." The deer ran a short distance and went down, and died after Goodman fired two more shots.

Soon Goodman started feeling dizzy and noticed his vest was soaked in blood.

So he reached his truck and drove to a hospital, where he received seven staples in his scalp and was treated for a slight concussion and bruises.
