Morning Brenda.

I have been missing you and wondering where you have been hiding out.:goodvibes

DU, how many sisters do you have? No brothers?

I have two brothers only.

I'd come and help you to I were closer and you would not have to clean up after me:thumbsup2

Yes we do have snakes here in Canada but I rarely ever see one. So I think you'd be safe to come here and visit.

The lawn service guys came by yesterday.

Actually they came with 2 young guys and a young lady.

They did a good job and it looks nice.

I'm glad that I finally called someone.

Im on the run...:teleport:

BUT I just had to make a few comments....

1) Robin,
Could it be that one of your cats, caught it and brought the snake in.? Sometimes once a well fed cat catches something it loses intrest, as its just not hungry enough to bother with it...You know the thrill of the hunt and all....:confused3 :cat:
That snake has got to be a baby...Its cute...and by the picture it looks to be a garden snake...Harmless...I use to play with snakes like that when I was a girl...with a big colander...they would go in and out all the wholes...
I thought it was the collest thing..Then Id let them go of course...
I however could never own a pet snake, as they are normally fed live mice, and just couldnt bring myself to do that...Poor little mouse...:sad2: or if they were that size probably crickets..still live...I HATE bugs.....YUCK!

2) I love cheese, and I dont think Ive had any I dont like...That picture looks very yummy...wine, cheese, and crackers!...what could be better?...except maybe if you added some good crusty bread, and some wonderfully ripe fresh fruit...maybe, apples, or berries, or grapes.....YUM....:teeth:

3) DU, Ain't famly great....come to help and make MORE work.....Thats my family...LOL...good intentions,BUT....:confused3
Oh well ya got to love them..as they say you can pick your friends...NOT your relatives..... ;)

Hello to all....Im off....to get everything I was suppose to do yesterday..Instead I spent the day in town, while I waited for Albert to get groomed..He does look very spiffy now...:dog:

Just passing by on my way to the laundry room.

:rotfl: I'm pausing in between the homework I didn't finish last night to say hi. I should probably learn how to do laundry properly someday - I just throw all my stuff in with some detergent and put it on cold

Hello my threadkillers

I've allowed snake/pets in my house but won't touch the wine and cheese :confused3 Hubby would. John could join you in a snack like that, I would sit with Tom and not. Gimme a peach brandy and some good crackers tho and I'll be right there with you.

SWTD, what are you (supposed to be ;) ) studying?

I just got my paperwork started so I can get back in come January. I finished my Business Admin Degree (AS) last May and am pursuing a second major in Media Communications (AA) in 2009. I go to the county community college.

I was supposed to be studying Western Civilization. Right now i'm just taking core classes at community college - then i'll hopefully transfer to a four year. Wow, two majors? Congrats! Those sound like really useful degrees. I would like to be an Arts major but I don't know how helpful that will be :rotfl:

But going to community college is saving me a lot of money :thumbsup2

Sounds like pure Heaven Brenda...can you maybe sign up for wipe swap so you and I can switch lives for a couple weeks? We could be East Coast vs West Coast lives.

You could learn what it's like to be a stay at home mom that spends her time going to school and taking photographs, that has a husband that cooks and vacations with you and take you to the Flea Market on Sundays that has two grown children and a FIL a dog a cat and a fish in the house.

And I could see what going to the Spa and having a corporate job on the coast with a husband who lets her travel all over the world but doesn't like to go that has only one child and no pets in the house is like.

:wizard:  :flower3:

I really like having friends who travel, I seriously live vicariously thru all of you...being in DLP with you and DD recently TLM was an incredibly fun journey~I learn new things thru all of you as well.

like DU is truly patient and generous man to willingly live in his world for *any* amount of time.

CC absolutely saves cash and is absolutely as worthy as any university out there.
Esp in the beginning when most students have no idea what direction they wanna go.

I'm a stay at home mom cause I was laid off last year. I went back to college (via unemployment) and finished the 2 classes I needed to complete my first major. My second major came about because I have 17 more credits available to me and only need 19 to get my AA. Thru academic research I found that communications (media, journalism, radio/tv production) is a growing industry vs the financial experience I have - which is literally going down the tubes.

Definately. I thought, why spend 15 thousand dollars when i'm not sure what I want to do? I'm thinking of either studying film at USC or UCLA or animation at CalArts. I'm hoping to do the college program at WDW so I can take some time off and decide which direction to go in. Either way i'll be a poor art student :rotfl: I might double major in Japanese too, that way I could at least have something useful

I'm sorry to hear that you were laid off but that's so great that you finished school anways. What a good example for your kids :thumbsup2 My mom was like you and finished school with kids - so proud of her. Communications is definately growing and will be in high demand in the coming years. That's a smart move. One thing i'd really like to do is travel, that way I can decide what country I want to live in. I know that sounds weird but I don't know if the US is where I want to live forever. Maybe i'll go backpacking ;)

Is your next trip in October or November?

Its November the 7th. So not long

Even though I'm so super happy I won this trip its came at a time when I'm broke. Luckily my mum is going to lend me $300 to take with me as I don't get paid till the end of November.

So I'm hoping with that I can feed us (its very expensive to eat in France) and get some Christmas presents....Luckily we are driving to DLP which means I can pack lots and lots of snacks.

Kyra's Birthday is in 12 days aswell, and thankgod I already brought her presents. Just need to get Sleeping Beauty on DVD as its not out till the day of her Birthday.

I'm so looking forward to getting a part time job of some sort when DD starts school, as much as i love being a stay at home mum my brain is starting to frazzle lol.

SWTC, sounds like you got a decent plan going...

Cal Arts would absolutely be on my short list if I lived on the West coast. ::yes::

Japanese is totally cool! I've taken German, Spanish and French. I looked into Japanese but my school only offered an audio course (learning via cassette tapes.) There is no way I would attempt to take a language without the help of a real teacher.

TLM, I am happy your trip is going to work out.

Is it just you and DD for this one?
