I'm here! It's raining again....OIY! DH and I have spent the last 2 days reading - he's on his 4th book! He reads a LOT faster than I do. I'm on book 3 of the Twilight Series. So..while our days have been fun, they've been uneventful and not much to write about!

Well I have had a very nice weekend...Sat. I watched my DH work... (I love to do that )..
He put up a new light fixture for me in our bathroom...Boy is it bright in there ....I amost wanted him to take it back out again... ...It was a little scary looking in the mirror now!

and yesterday the girls came over like normal, but they went home early, as school starts on Tuesday, and they had school things to get ready....
We had a dinner res. anyway.....with my DB,DSIL, DS, DBIL, MIke and I and Mom for her birthday.....It was very nice...and I think she enjoyed it...
I did find the glads for her.. this year so Im calling the day a succsess!

Its rainny here today, but thats OK, I have a few movies Ive rented and it will be the perfect day to watch them....
Ive also got a BIG book to read. Mitcheners "Hawaii"..I was told its a good read...I hope so as its alot to read!....

Our weekend was a success.

Rick came in first place again. It was a close battle though.

Our trip there and back was quite uneventful and the border crossing was easy in both directions.

It was extremely hot though. It got to almost 95 in the trailer the one day. We did turn on the air conditioning that night to cool things down enough to sleep.

All in all another good weekend away.

Are the girls excited to be going back to school again Betsy.

Anybody else have kids starting back this week.

Here school doesn't start until after Labour Day weekend.

Ann~ Are you dried out yet? I hope so. I just had a client here who has a winter home in Cocoa. They got hammered. Luckily her house is on a bit of a hill so they were ok!

DU~ What are the odds your behaving? (By the way you inspired me to go get the SUnday times last night. That should take a bit of time to peruse!)

School starts here on Sept. 3. DD(14) had HS orientation tonight. SHe'll get her schedule and some basic info. Parents go to this also. She did make the JV soccer team, so she has been doing that everyday for about a week now. THat is a nice transition as it gives her a chance to be around the older kids and realize they aren't scary! Her first game is Wednesday morning!

WOW thats alot of readin! I am still debating buying the Kindle. Just cant seem to justify the cost!

Hiya Threadkillers!

DU - BUY a Kindle! It's absolutely worth the $$$. No matter where I go, I have about 80 books with me all the time. Plus it's cheaper to buy the books electronically than at a bookstore....even a discount bookstore! My DH is wanting one now...which is good - because he constantly steals mine!

nsalz - I didn't know you were in Disney! Congrats on the dream pass!

Robin - I'm like you...no year of a million dreams stuff yet! I've lurked on some threads where they say where to hang out, but I'd rather be completely unaware and surprised - so if it does happen - it's really magic.

TW - I keep meaning to ask you...when are you going to Disney again? I'm going to try to renew my annual pass between the expiration date and the first of the year (it expires 9/29) and if I do, maybe we can meet...even if it's just for 5 minutes

Well, we have more thunderstorms, more rain this afternoon - but that's pretty much to be expected. The morning was beautiful! Still wet, but no flooding where we're at. Cleaning my dirty house...this may take a while!

Hey Ann

I am leaning towards going back for the cruise at the end of the year and skipping the october trip with Rose. My plan is to stay a few days in WDW postcruise - Jan 3rd is debarking day~

Mika is back ona downslope, I wasn't able to get back into the local college (due to paperwork issues-theirs not mine ) and I'm still striking out in the job market so skipping October may be the only way I can get onto that 7 day Western DCL cruise with hubby and my Mom.

The cruise is at the top of my list,

I've done WDW in October many, many times thanx to my friend Rose
