It seems like the school set up this whole trip, and it was sombodies relative who did it. They went the cheap route all the way!!!!

boy that's really too bad after being in the hot humid temps all day; you want to be able to come back to a nice room - shower & be comfortable at least thru the evening...We used "Educational Tour Adventures" out of NJ...great group if anyone ever needs a tour group...give em a try

Well my weekend was pretty productive...
Got quite a few stumps pulled from the new area we are making for the DGKs..

I got alot of lawn mowed too....

We also visited with Julias new guy...Very nice...
He has to start collage upstate though, so He is leaving next week...
Looks like Julia's gonna go through alot of mins. on her cell this winter...

I know what Ill be getting her for Christmas....

My DGGs start school next Tues., So we plan on taking them out next Sunday...as a goodbye to summer....Probably to the mall, and a nice lunch out....

I cant believe summer has flown by so fast this year....

Oh well thats just making the time before I go to Hawaii go by faster too.....a little over a year! ...
After waiting for this trip most of my adult life a little over a year , is right around the corner...
Ive been wanting to go since I was a kid and my parents use to go and visit my Uncle who lived there..(on the big island)...With five kids I can understand why they didnt ever take any of us....

Mike surprised my with hawaiian immersion CDs...
Pretty cool...and very interesting...There is alot I didnt know about the islands....

Those guys were both very much favourites of mine too.

I used to get those magazines too, actually I still have a bunch of them in a box around here somewhere

I had the Bobby Sherman album that had an almost lifesized picture of him in it.

I had it hanging on my closet door.

I really wish that I had kept all those old albums now

Its rainny here...BUT NOTHING like Fla.
I know a few people there right now....I hope its not too bad for them....

We are suppose to clear up here by late morning....Not that I have anything to do out.... ..I Finished my mowing,,,YEA! for a week or so anyway...
I guess I could do some more weeding...YUCK!..I hate that job...

Poor Mike got poison Ivy, from working in woods...I didnt get any..and I was in there too...Im thinking Im just not effected by it...
He says it iches like mad...I got Calidryle(sp?) for him he says it does alright, but hates to go to work with it all over his arms...
and he cant take time off, because he has a machine that has major problems, and has to be ready to go by the end of the week, ......So he's been pretty stressed lately....

If I had some of the things I grew up with, Id could make some BIG money...Too bad my parents got rid of it all...We moved alot....and they only took what had to be moved...
Between my two sisters and I we could be rich just from all the barbies I had....I must have had twenty...Do you remember the ones with the short curly hair?...
I remember taking their heads off and putting a ring on their neck and then putting there heads back on...and voila' a necklace...LOL

Sunday is her Birthday..(85YsO)...Im not sure .... what we are going to do, but Im gonna at least take her out for lunch/dinner

i AM really ready for it....mentally for sure AND HOPEFULLY physically....i'm not worried...23 miles is what we walk at WDW in a day right??????????????????

tomorrow is my DH's & DSIL's bd....same day - but 3 yrs apart...so we're hosting a BBQ celebration but not till the 31st...i'm just TOO busy to celebrate his BD well actually since we are going to visit UC Davis on Sat & then Sunday is the St Francis Sports Foundation BBQ dinner auction....just no time for family events....but the 31st works better anyway, since we have Monday off for Labor Day

Hi Threadkillers!

We just got cable internet back up. The storms are wrecking havoc. Buttoning down for TS Faye. Shouldn't be too bad, but it looks like it's going to zip across Florida, head out to sea and organize a bit more and then hit right around our area. As long as it stays CAT 1 or 2, we'll be fine.

My doggie has been a very sick little lady. She's hurt her back right leg (limping or hopping without any weight on it) and has some sort of bladder infection. She is on anti-biotics but is still urinating pure blood - it so bad it's like she's just cut on her tummy. I'm having a time keeping her hydrated. They expect she'll start to feel better in the next day or so. They're going to do more tests after this infection clears up and then take care of her leg. She's a bit more perky today, but mostly she just wants to lay on my lap.

Well, I'm thinking it's nap time. We're due to have rain anytime now.

Ya'll take care and don't worry if you don't hear from us for a few days. DU - good luck with your disaster recovery, CADZ - keep up the good work with your walking.
