Robin - ENJOY the quest!!!!;)

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Hi Threadkillers!

I'm re-sizing the pics...sorry it's taken so long.

Betsy, that IS a painting of Holly. A friend of mine is a very talented artist and we've purchased/commissioned a LOT of her paintings. Well, she got her talent naturally - her dad painted that one for us. It's Holly and her first toy. She was a year old when it was done.

CADZ - We went to bed about 2 hours before you got up!

DU - Susan said don't worry about boxed macaroni & cheese until you've had hers....I can tell you - she is the MASTER! I'm a good cook - but she is the mac&cheese goddess.

PD - I don't know how much DU gained, but we ate a LOT!

Robin - Enjoy your b'fast!

AM - you sure have a puzzle going on in your house. It's like musical chairs, with houses!

I hope ya'll have a GREAT day and I'm off to spend time with the sisters!

:goodvibes just stopin in!

Drivin to FL for some Mac & Cheese....catch up later

Ann, next time you load your pictures - look for the option to tell it what size! You can resize as you load and the setting will stay at whatever size you make them. clear as mud?

Great pictures! You three are awesome~

I listened to Ave Maria on my Fantasia soundtrack and thought of you. Does anyone in your family know how to YouTube one of your performances for us??? I really really really love to see you sing that song~

Anotherone calling me smartypants! I had NO IDEA my grades were that good! I never did see a report card~just knowing I passed all my classes was enough for me to move on...

I did work hard and have absolutely patted myself on the back for this achievement. Thank you guys for your virtual patting of my back :grouphug:

 backatcha PD!

one of these days I'll get down to see Washington. For having lived in the area all my life, it's pretty sad that I've only ever driven by it :confused3

John always talks about the Smithsonian.

What do you guys tour when you go?

I wanna Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

They sound like alot of fun and might actually get me to get one now that they have the fit program :scratchin My deterrent has always been not being able to look past the price ;)

Betsy, what classes I take depends on what's left and if I qualify. The people that get me into the program have been VERY difficult to get in touch with.

The unemployed get last choice of what's left the day before classes start. I've been making a list of what I'd like to take and then check the school's list each week to see if it's still taking students. Most of the Art requirements I want are all closed (full.)

My secondary list are writing classes. Journalistic writing is still open. There are two literature classes I am looking at, one for children's lit and one for classic. Intro to Modern Art and Art 101 are still open too. We'll see what's left when I actually get there.

My third list is the stuff I could use but really don't want to take: Developmental Psychology, Effective Communication and Media Communications classes are my backup to my backup.

Signups for me aren't until 8/25.

You need to go to Washington! Great place for a photographer like you! This trip we went to the zoo, the museum of Natural History, The National Art Gallery, the Air and Space Museum, the Botanical Gardens, The Washington Monument, The Supreme Court and the Library of Congress. That is just the tip of the iceberg of all there is to do. We also went on the Duckboat tour and a ghost tour and went shopping in Georgetown. We were really looking forward to the ghost tour. We had a good time because it was a beautiful night to be outside for a walk, but the ghost stories themselves were rather lame. Have you ever gone on a ghost tour in Philadelphia? They have a fantastic ghost tour. Very spooky.

Ann....i'm surprized you went to bed that early...many times when Ryan has had his friends over, i've gotten up and they are STILL up playing their games!!!!:lmao:

I would love to go to Wash DC sometime too.....we could have gone summer of '05 (after 8th gr grad); BUT we chose to do our FIRST disney cruise instead....

I am ashamed to say, I have yet to do a Philly duck tour or the ghost tour - I've watched the duck tours! but never paid for one...

I have a feeling philly's would be better.

There's a ghost tour in Williamsburg I'd like to do too~

Washington sounds really cool but has yet to make it to my actually gets to do list. Where did you stay again?

So when I disappear you will know why.

Or do we?:rolleyes1

I need a little white board for this... last year I bought 12 acres, with a rental house about an hour North of here (I don 't know if I have explained all this before - if so, skip to present).
One sister moved into the rental house with her family, and my other sister and parents put their houses on the market (this was last August). Neither house has sold, but my mom got retired and so my parents decided to start building their new house.

Present: mom and dad are moving in with sis and family while their house is being built on the adjoining property, my lease is up so I am moving into mom and dad's existing house. All this so we can save some money. All my furniture and belonging have sticky notes on them color coded for stuff going to storage or stuff going to my parents. But, retired parents are very useful for packing! And they seem to be getting a big kick out of listening to my half of work conference calls. :confused3

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

The last 2 trips we stayed at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Avenue, right by the WHite House. It is really convenient with kids, because we can go back to the hotel and swim if they get bored with the museums and still be close enough to everything to go out again later. You can stay for a lot less by staying in Virginia or Maryland and just taking the metro into the city. The metro in Washington is clean and nice. If we go again I think we'll stay outside the city and save $$$$. Now that the girls are older they can last all day touring and aren't so into the pool. Oh well, live and learn.

Callie....Where are you?

Speaking of Callie....I had the news on tonight, and they were talking about the war in Georgia.

James was :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Did they bomb Savannah???

I had to smack him in the head!:sad2:

This reminds me of a story that my friend tells about when she was little. In 1973 there was lots on the news about guerrilla warfare at the Athens airport. My friend was in elementary school and her school bus route went by the Athens, New York airport (read dirt airstrip for cropdusters) The kids on the bus thought there were giant monkeys with guns at the airport so always ducked down between the bus seats so the monkeys wouldn't shoot them.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: The busdriver must have got a huge laugh about that everyday!

I was just informed by James that WE MUST go to WDW Nov 3 thru 5th!!!!

MUST!!!!

He will take off of school and everything!

Why you ask??/ Cause David Cassidy is playing at Epcot those days!!!!

So we now have every Bon Jovi, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Franki Valli, Beatles & Bobby Darren album......me quess it will be a Cassidy Christmas. (at least Bon Jovi is current)

(ps As I write this he is in my bedroom signing "I woke up in love this morning")

Where does he get this stuff from?????:confused3

James is too much! David Cassidy?!!

If I go, we're coming home the 1st, so I guess no David Cassidy for me :(

;)
