Well It IS light out here.... ..AND we even have some sunshine...which wasnt expected...We were suppose to get rain until Sat....So thats a plus

and that cake IS awsome...Ann, gave me the recipe for it last year...REALLY good....But also REALLY fattening...

Its my Thurs. ...So I'll be on the run ....
Its so nice out I wish I could just stay home today, but I would be letting quite a few people down if I did that....
I guess a Nana/wife/sister/daughter's gotta do , what a Nana/wife/sister/daughter's gotta do....

Hopefully I can get home before its too late to enjoy a little of it later this afternoon.

Your houses sing too ya???

I need a little white board for this... last year I bought 12 acres, with a rental house about an hour North of here (I don 't know if I have explained all this before - if so, skip to present).
One sister moved into the rental house with her family, and my other sister and parents put their houses on the market (this was last August). Neither house has sold, but my mom got retired and so my parents decided to start building their new house.

Present: mom and dad are moving in with sis and family while their house is being built on the adjoining property, my lease is up so I am moving into mom and dad's existing house. All this so we can save some money. All my furniture and belonging have sticky notes on them color coded for stuff going to storage or stuff going to my parents. But, retired parents are very useful for packing! And they seem to be getting a big kick out of listening to my half of work conference calls.

I didnt post on the other thread, but Im with most everyone else on the homemade v/ store bought...
Of course it all depends on who's doing the cooking... ..
But for the most part...I'll take home cooking anytime...
especially cookies...I normally dont like hard store bought cookies...and they can sit in my pantry, a long time without getting touched by us....BUT if I make fresh home made cookies....they wont last long enough to get put in a container....Hence the reason I DONT make to many homemade cookies or treats....Its flirting with disaster ..weight-wise

Speaking of weight ...We just picked up a Wii-fit yesterday ( it took forever to find one in stock) from Target...
Wow is that fun....Much more fun then the treadmill...LOL
Although Im not giving up my good ole TM, but I will really enjoy the WF, along with it...Im thinking
The girls really get into the DDR!...I thought I would like it too, but Im not that impressed.....Mike found it on Best Buy...The buy of the day...for a great price or we wouldnt have gotten it...Glad the girls like it or I would have wasted my money..They play it most of the day on Sundays...Julia is a pro at it!

Well I hope you all Have a good day planned....
I will be mowing and doing yard work all day..(if the rain stays away)...

Morning all.

Looks like another nice day here but there is a chance of thunderstorms later on.

Summer camp was finished yesterday so both my kids will be home soon.

Alex is actually in town but spent the night at this girlfriends.

I didn't tell you guys yet but he wrote his final exam this week for his Advance Care Paramedic program and he got an 84%

Liz stopped off in Toronto on her way home from camp and is going to Paramount Canada's Wonderland, the huge amusement park. A bunch of people from camp were planning to go, so she went along.

Rick and I are off this weekend. The quest for another "piece of wood" or a plaque as they call it.
