Having never lived in gilroy before - i went for the house i wanted - not whether it had a pool or not....and one doesn't really need a pool when they live on the coast....you don't really get up temps higher than 80's much over there..

have fun & have fun if you go to drive in too - there is only 1 of those left around here in a 50 mile radius - that's in Santa Cruz.....

I live in a Townhome Community so its a Community pool!:thumbsup2 So I dont have to do anything to take care of it!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Also catch up on the neighbor gossip! Whoo Hoo....

The girl in 504 had some MASSIVE enhancements done to her chest. As soon as I saw her I said Hellloooooo Dolly Parton!:lmao:

The guy in 1106 has extensive excema on his back and SHOULDNT be walking around shirtless!:scared:

The people in 0012 one DD lost a lot a weight and the other DD called in too work sick, and her Boss showed up at the Pool!!!!:scared1: She didnt realize that he lived here too!:rolleyes1

ZJO Threadkillers!

I hope everyone had a great day today!

DU - it sounds like you had an event filled day at the pool!

Cally - SO nice to see you back. The pics are great and the boys are growing!

TW - how are you doing with your empty nest?

PD, Robin, CADZ, DalPal & the rest of the gang - I'm thinking of you!

DU - my DH wanted to make sure I sent a big THANKS to you. I made the pot roast in the crock pot that you gave me the recipe for some time ago. It turned out really well. I'm going to make open-faced Roast Beef & Gravy sandwiches with it sometime during the week.

Ya'll take care!

:wave2: Just thought I'd :moped: by and say hi. I've been super busy but I do stop in and check up on everyone. Have a good week!

Hi Michelle  We're always here whenever you have time~

Ann, I am totally enjoying it. It's quieter but not really quiet

I went to take a bubble bath today while I had the house to myself...by the time I got out my sis, bil, DH, DD and fil were all here!!

A neighbor of my sis had a leather natuzzi couch they had to get rid of cause it didn't fit in the house (they recently moved in.) John bought it! Everybody had moved out the old one and moved in the new one while I was in the tub.

It's nice.

I just went up into the boy's room to look around...which turns out was a really good thing cause he left all kinds of dishes and yogurt cups up there!

John and I both talked to Adrian on the phone over the last couple days.

He sounded very happy~

Watched "There will be Blood" tonight. It was good...but ya MUST give it your FULL attention (sorta hard around here). Daniel Day Lewis definately deserve the Oscar for this movie!:thumbsup2

My son wanted to take us with him...it's his high school friends and certain female friends he was happy to get away from...that's what he told *me* anyway~

You grill on gas right? Medium heat, right on the burners (no foil unless it's fish or veggies) for a good loooong time. I used to boil mine for about 20 minutes then cleaned em up and sauced them over...then grill...some people leave the sauce til right before you take the ribs off the grill. I like to coat mine over and over and have the sauce almost caramalized when the ribs come off.

John recently found a prepackaged rib he likes-they're messy but yummy~

or sometiems we get them at the amish market ::yes::

Hopefully you see this when you get back Robin. John's godfather lives in Chesterfield Twp. It's NE of Detroit along the lake St Clair.

When we go out there we go straight across PA an OH and then North to his house. Pretty easy really. They are close to a bridge and a tunnel to Canada, do you really think it's easier to go by your way? I am about to get my passport - are they mandatory yet? (I know you answered this but I am such a dolt I forget what the answer was ;) )

I have been to Chesterfield Twp. Actually I was there not all that long ago. It is about one hour and maybe a bit from my house. But when I went there I took the ferry across. :boat:

I am also one hour away from the bridge and the tunnel between Canada and the US. Actually I was on that bridge just today:thumbsup2

I'd have to take a look at the trip to see which was was easier or closer for you to travel. Will check that out sometime soon and let you know.

Anyway, doesn't matter because one hour away from me is pretty close no matter how you look at it. I'm sure we could figure out a way to get together.

No passports are necessary at this time.

Okay - I'm gonna try to download my own picture. Here's last night's tart. Just so ya'll know...I only take pictures of food and my dog....tell me to stop when you get bored!

:woohoo: :woohoo:

Great job posting your first picture Ann.

I'd love to see more::yes::

Oh yes, by the way, I'm Back:rotfl2:

Good morning!

Just gonna do some cleaning this am, write bills, make dinner (tonight..:confused3 dont know what to have) and hang out by the pool today! Oh yeah needs some new shirts and new underwear for WDW!:lmao:

Yup & Yup!:confused3 Did everything you said!
I too am gonna stick to the prepackaged from now on!:thumbsup2 Their pricey...BUT Deeeelicious!

Oh yes, by the way, I'm Back:rotfl2:
:yay: :yay: :yay:

Welcome back Robin!

If and when John and I go visit them I will absolutely let you know...we got yelled at cause we say that we'll be out every year~

I blame the jobs and Rose...we only get so many vacations and Rose usually has them planned for us years in advance ;)

::yes:: John likes to cook as much as our Ann does and he only makes the prepackaged now.

Oh yeah needs some new shirts and new underwear for WDW!

That's a sure sign someone's countdown is getting down to the wire...

speaking of which...

Betsy and Sewer, you two ready to go yet?

DU, when I make ribs, which is not very often I cook them in the oven.

First I coat them with a sauce that I mix up myself.

It has honey, powdered garlic, soy sauce and ketchup in it.

Then I just throw the pan in the oven and let them bake:thumbsup2

They always seem to turn out pretty good for me:confused3

I don't much like ribs though so I don't make them very often.

Hi everyone!

I hope ya'll are having a good day. I LOVE BBQ, but seldom get it because I'm allergic to an ingredient in ketchup....so I have to do mine with a dry rub...which is very seldom!

Well, I'm in the middle of making and freezing pot-stickers. Here's where I'm at so far:

MakingPotStickers06-09-08.jpg

I have 72 made and in the freezer. I cooked a test batch and I have to say...they're REALLY good. I think the pot-sticker & Japanese Beer get together may be a hit!

Does anyone know how to size pictures? I sure don't....

When I saw the post all I could think of was, "My God, my trash zip-lock is HUGE and gross!" I hope it doesn't gross ya'll out!

:rotfl: I didn't even realize that it was trash in there.

Looks like something you've got cut up and ready to put into your cooking:thumbsup2

I can't really help you with the resizing of the pictures.

Colleen, might be more helpful with that.

Where are you uploading your pictures to before you post them?

I put mine on Photobucket.

She's using photobucket...

Ann, sign in and you'll see over the picture an "edit" link. CLick that and then tell photobucket to make it 800x600. That's the "normal" posting size.

Once you save the photo (overwrite the one you have) and it'll automatically fix the one you put here. If you save it as a copy you won't be fixing the problem...hth, cj.

We have soccer on, John is home early but sleeping on the couch.

We watched Semi Pro with Wil Farrell. It's ok...not as funny as we expected~

I have a new coastal living magazine to peruse and am working on the guy's father's day gifts...I found tv trays that I can customize with my own photos. They are a nice dark cherry wood color and were only $20 each!

Thanks Colleen...I'll get to it right after this post.

Robin - what's cut up is for the next batch of pot-stickers. It's onion, garlic, chinese chives & ginger - ready to be sauteed. The filling for the 2nd batch is done and I'm ready to make the wrappers...but I'm seeing McDonalds in my future....:)
