But ya have to admit he provides us with endless hours of entertainmant.:happytv:

Good morning Tker's
hope everyone is on the mend & doing better ~i had some surgery yesterday which went really well & feeling good today (or maybe it's the "percoset" masking the pain :) (anesthesia really nauseates me - so had an ear patch & some zofran in my IV...but never the less - was still a little nauseous last night) after sleeping almost all of yesterday - i woke up at 2 this morning - 1/2 hr before my usual time so been catching up here...plan to do nothing but read a pile of books & maybe watch a movie or two....

P&PD for all - have a great day

Dr. says ACL may be torn too, but couldn't tell from the MRI. He will check for that during surgery, but because her growth plates show she is not done growing, he can't repair that until she is done growing as he would have to go throught the growth plate to repair and that could effect her growth. If that is torn they will do what they can to strenghten through physical therapy until she is done growing. Could be 6 months or could be 3 years! Hopefully the ACL is ok so she won't have to worry about a later surgery!

How are you feeling today?

Sure hope it's just the miniscus....sending her lots of P&PD!!!!

I am actually 'feeling' pretty good....just pretty sore at the surgical site. But i think that will diminish pretty quickly. I've only been taking 1 pain pill ev 4 hrs, have the option to take 2....but don't want to get sooo tired from it that i just sleep all day~
;)

Hi everyone...

Brenda - are you OK? I had no idea you were having surgery - did I miss this during my absence? I'm sorry ~ I hope everything turned out well and you're able to enjoy your down time.

Hi Brenda! Glad to see you're recovering well...

Ann, it was elective, sort of....

she had reduction surgery, guess where ;)

Helloooooo Threadkillers!

Thank you Ann, I don't think i had told anyone on this thread before hand...just my "Cruise" thread...i just had a reduction yesterday morning...(yep that kind of reduction so i can now wear v-necks etc) but YES i am really doing well....i've done laundry, dishes, DIS'ed, & gone thru all the mail on the kitchen island that i just hadn't been thru yet....going to see surgeon today at noon for 1st followup....

Eee Gads! I understand....I'm lucky in that department - not to small or big, but a LONG way from just right :rotfl2:

It sounds like you're one of those that recover quickly. Make sure you don't over do and keep on DIS-ing!

well - hopefully i'll be "just right" in about a month (full recovery time).....no i won't overdo it - don't want to mess up anything ;)

Hey there threadkillers.

Brenda glad to hear that you are behaving and doing okay.

PD, hope your daughter is okay and won't need more surgery in the future.

I spent another 4 hours in the Emergency Room waiting room again today.

My mom's cast was still too tight and was making her fingers all tingly.

They cut the underneath sleeve stocking this time and she says it feels much better.

I sure hope this is our last "visit" to the Emergency Room.

It's a nice place but you know, I'd really rather have spent the day outside.

The weather here was really gorgeous today, not that I got to experience much of it.:guilty:

back at work again.....one of these 70 hour weeks!!!!!!! believe it or not even at 19 I am TOO OLD for this crapolla!

However At least I am back in my office (was in NY office for a few nights)....It was lovely with the Pope in town!!!!!! Trying to get in/out is all but impossible.

I am also dealing with Contrators hired by Contractors, who were hired by Outsourcers, who were hired by Contractors who were contracted out by a Mid Manager who was about to get laid off by his Company! :headache:

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I am trying to get vital info of of people who have been in their jobs & this country for all of 2 weeks.   I have NO idea what they are saying, and it takes WAY too much effort to try to comprehend what they are saying!:rolleyes1

Me thinks its time to change Fields!!!! But what I want to be when i grow up is still a big gaping hole for me.....Hopefully the Lottery will fix this soon!:yay:
