I went to Walmart this evening. I smiled to myself as I watched the cashier put my items into bags and spin the twirling thing.

I had classes from 2 til 8 today...first classes for chem lab and macroeconomics. Chem lab, was supposed to be 2 hours, teacher let us out after 30 minutes :faint: I wasn't so lucky with economics, we got let out 15 minutes early~

Happy Birthday and Australia Day!

Betsy, you are such a silly girl...and funny. Plastic bags and Pockets, Oh My!

Bye Robin!!!

PD, if I ever do a scrapping weekend you all are on my invite list~

Deb, make sure you register at magicemeets .com!! You'll get notices as quick as they come out as long as you get your email on that list. I always come by here and tell my fellow threadkillers when it's time as well...it'd be cool to meet you. As close as we are to New Hope I rarely get there anymore...maybe you and me should do a photgraphic fields trip over that way come springtime???

Hi Aisling!

Welcome Newbie threadkillers

Cool. I was gonna guess that.

John(DH) forgot he bought peanut butter cookie dough from a fundraiser...he baked when he came home :woohoo:

Do you barbecue on Australia Day? Like we do on July 4th?

Whacha doin for your birthday?

tell me if I ask too many questions...I have an enquiring mind. seriously.

We had a champagne breakfast for Christmas...with everything cooked on the bbq :cool1: Then we collapsed flailing like beached whales, played the new Monopoly version that uses a credit card machine and Monopoly credit cards instead of paper money (boy does swiping that thing release endorphins) and had another bbq for dinner :rotfl2: Got to love the kiwi Christmas.

Oh, and an Australia Day present from me to you...have one of these :rolleyes1 ;)

But its the 28th of january?:confused3

;)

Our national day is on February 6 ... except we don't call it that, we call it Waitangi Day. 4th of July celebrations are alot of fun though! I'm a huge fireworks fan pixiedust: Of course you guys get Thanksgiving too, so sort of two national days for the price of one. Except, you have to pay for both and have stuff that most people here have never heard of, like turducken. Stumps people every time, before AND after I've explained what it is :rotfl:

Tiggerwannabe, chemistry and economics seems like an unusual combination but very cool - what are you studying towards?

Well, actually the real Australia Day is January 26th, but cos that was on a Saturday we got the holiday on the following Monday(the 28th). My Birthday is on the real day,the 26th.
