We have never done Hoop dee. I hope to try it one day. I've heard so many good things about it. I'm still trying to figure out what type of dinner it is. :confused3 Take lots of pictures!! :thumbsup2

Didn't Brer_Papa (our dearly departed OLD friend) do that one? I seem to recall that he might have :confused3

DISCLAIMER:

I would say, don't overplan. Leave some room for spontaneity, some down time. Doing the parks gets tiring after a bit and sometimes you just need a day without a lot of running around, time for exploring the resorts or hanging out at the pool for a bit, Downtown Disney etc.

Lots of people make tons of dinner reservations in advance.

I think trying to cram too much into a trip for first timers might turn them off and make tempers flare. I guess it depends on the people.
You don't need a disclaimer, silly. ;)

While I plan on doing everything I want to do (Commando), I already know and expect my family to NOT do things that way. So, while they head to the resort or pool for a nap or a swim, I shall be MOVING! :moped: ::yes:: Anyone wishing to follow me tho, is welcome. ;) A day Downtown is already in the works, too. I MUST SHOP!!! (That's not down-time to me tho :rotfl2: ) I don't think we're 'planning' much, except which park to do which day, and if someone wants to go somewhere else, we're free to split up also. I honestly, would rather NOT be anyone's tour guide - I'm too pushy, etc. and I don't want anyone mad at ME! ::yes:: I want them to have their own 'Firsts' :goodvibes , not the ones I suggest. ;)

I'm pretty sure we'll be dropping one of the dinners. With 5 full days there, I think 2 dinners is plenty, plus the girls meal. Considering how many years I went and NEVER ate at a sit-down, I have no problem skipping these either, but Mom wanted a couple 'nice' meals together. Can't argue, they're paying. ;)

Didn't he say he participated in it? :clown:

Cally, it's a family-style, all you can eat. I think it said ribs and chicken and a bunch of stuff. They serve your tables and just keep refilling the trays as you finish them.

That sounds like the kind of place that we would like to try out too.

When we go in April we might try out one of the sitdown restaurants in one of the resorts.

Anybody got any suggestions as to which one we should try :confused3

OK...
I have everything dipped :teeth: and DH doesnt get home until 5:30.. :hourglass

Robin,
I really liked Kona cafe...In the Poly...I use to like Ohanas...but they took everything I liked off the menu... :guilty:

The only other place in a resort that we went to was CG for our Ann. ...It was Very nice, BUT Very fancy and VERY expensive...The view is amazing and watching the fireworks from there was cool, but all in all I dont know if Id go back....

I have never done either Hoop or CMs.... :confused3

edited to add ...If you go to Konas..you could time it so you can watch the ELP and wishes from the Poly beach ;)

ZJO Threadkillers!

Sorry I've been absent - I got this three day headache that I wasn't able to manage....I even left work yesterday sick!

DalPal & TN thanks for the kind words - it was a lot of fun singing on Saturday. I was nervous, but had a great time!

Robin - All I can do is shake my head yes and say I agree with everyone elses ideas - even when they conflict...they are all great ideas for decorating your kitchen.

Kim - I think Robin had a great point about not over planning. Since I'm a foodie - I like to make reservations. It's all about the food to me! If you're looking for an EXCEPTIONAL meal...I'd recommend the California Grill in the Contemporary. Get the pork - trust me! Tinknutt can say the same! However, plan on spending a few hours and quite a few $$$. No matter where you go or what you do - you'll have a great time! I'm glad you're going!

TW - LOVED the pics! Your doggies are adorable!
Cally - LOVED the pics! Your KIDS are adorable!

BOB - can't wait to hear form you!

SW33 - how are you doing? Glad you enjoyed the circus. I probably wouldn't have noticed the protesters, either. My rose colored glasses are firmly in place!

DalPal - we can sing together anytime! Can't wait to karaoke on the ship with you! We can do a Disney duet if you want! Sounds like you've been busy!

Well, I've got to spend some time with hubby...I'm thinking of you!

 Happy Valentines Day!

You guys can't believe just how much I'm looking forward to this cruise.

Deck walks with Betsy, karaoke with Ann (me listening or lipsynching ;) )

I can just see Ann as a Go-Go Girl :rotfl:

 Evening to all! Just passing thru, heading over to :moped: trip-planning. :surfweb:

Cally,
Everything turned out really well...
The strawberries were the best I have ever made....I also made a porkchop dinner and set it up in with candles and nice music....
I felt a little bad , feeding my mom her dinner earlier, but she said she was fine with that and I should have a nice dinner alone with DH on V day... Shes a peach :cloud9:

It is sunny :sunny: and very nice again today.....I really cant believe how lucky we have been this winter...I still cant wait for spring ...but it makes the wait ALOT easier :teeth:

Ill be here all day today ...Until I have to take Julia to her lesson this evening...So Ill be popping in :ccat: and out ..to see whos on and whats up.... :3dglasses

Hope you all have a very good humpday! :thumbsup2
