Well I just got a call from my DS...and he is going to take the older DGGs to go see HP.....So I wont have to worry about breakfast....they wont get here until later this afternoon....Ill still have the twins though....

I'm starting on some laundry and maybe I'll have some breakfast, then I don't know for sure what I'm doing for the rest of the day (besides keeping up the laundry )

Our printer went kaput just before the Christmas Card season - so we just got the new one attached. I've washed the doggy and I'm going to take a nap! Then I'm going to work on cards and wrapping!

It's quite a nice day here today. Cool of course but the sun is shining the the temperature is tolerable.

I just spent 2 hours outside, picking up leaf piles, cleaning up the pond for the winter, filling bird feeders, that type of thing.

Now I'm having a drink and a snack and a sit down

I keep trying to convince someone else that they'd like to cook tonight but so far no takers on that one

Went to church with family, then home and put up some of our Christmas lights!! Getting ready for the holidays. Got the spare room ready for our guests (first DFil [at Thanksgiving], then Colleen and family close to Christmas) ! Man this year has gone by FAST!!

Thanks much to Robin & Betsy for the cancellation info. WOW, I'm kinda surprised tho, up to 75 days out before a penalty. That's GREAT news really. I better book SOMETHING ASAP. Anyone know if it's more, I figure it is, for a solo traveler? What about payments? When do they want those? And those dates, of course it couldn't be over a weekend. Well, someone is going to be very involved in DDs care and transportation while I'm gone. I figure by then, DS will be self-sufficient (he is now actually, except for occasional transportation/car issues).

Betsy, I'd say you're right about where everyone else is regarding SS. And, if anyone mailed, they aren't talking. Might ruin the surprise?

Well, despite getting 3 loads of laundry done earlier today, DS decided to start a load tonight, and asked me to take it out of the dryer, as he can't stay awake. Figures. Not a problem tho , he's worked 4 days straight and working the next 2 as well.

Kelly sang in church this morning, and I guess the 1st & 2nd graders made Church history! LOL They were the first choir ever to use kazoos! It was cute, but I didn't know the 'history' until today. Seems some deceased church member made a gift to the music program of a bunch of kazoos. They didn't know what to do with them, but the Pastor then remembered WHO the new 1st grade teacher was. She's a lovely woman, very active with the kids, she substituted for the school until this year and she does the summer Bible school, and is involved with the Sunday school also, she's just wonderful. She subbed for Kelly's Pre-K teacher during maternity leave so we got to know her very well. I'm just sorry she didn't take the call last year.

Lots of other boring stuff today, but I'll stop here.

Ordinarily I would agree, but since DH said okay - I'm striking while the iron is hot!

Okay - Betsy...don't hate me...but I'm going to book early dining. I talked to one of the cruise reps and she said it's MUCH easier to switch to late dining than early. But if you DO want early dining to book now. She said you CAN change it on-line.

So here's the problem....we've got two people booked on separate dining. We've GOT to have a consensus. I know I really pushed for late dining, but I think Robin makes some really good points and we might enjoy early dining if they separate the kids.

I did ask about how late some of the adult clubs/activities are open. She said it depends on how many people are there and how it's going...they sometimes will stay open late.

If everyone decides they want late dining - I'll switch with no problem-o! So - here's the poll.....Please state what you want!!!

I just called to change my seating(from 2nd. to 1st.) and when I did I linked us(Ann and I) together ....

BUT...She looked at Anns ressie...and said she is booked for 2nd.(late) seating too ....
So I didnt change mine ....yet....
If you all want first seating...for sure...please let me know, asap so I can change it........
I really dont care as long as Im sitting with you all ...
The CM DID say that If we want to have it changed to do it fast because they get filled up and then it very hard to change...

As soon as you all know what we want...let me know and I will either change or NOT change...

Single Occupancy Rates
Single occupancy fares are available upon request, subject to availability. Guests booking categories 4 through 12 will be charged 175% of the package price. Guests booking categories 1 through 3 will be charged 200% of the package price.

I just looked up a Cat. 09: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom for 1 adult WITHOUT ground trans. and WITHOUT Ins. and I got a rate of
$1097.63

A Cat. 12: Standard Inside Stateroom for 1 adult WITHOUT ground trans. or Ins.will be $817.63

For 1 person, Ground trans. and Ins. are $59.00 each.

Kim you are right that it will be more expensive with only one person in a cabin. Maybe you will find yourself a roommate before the cruise to share in the costs.

I'm thinking that you probably won't have to get transportation from Disney to the ship. There will be enough of us around there that you will probably be able to "hitch" a ride with someone. If we have a car then we will be happy to pick you up from where-ever you are and take you to the port and back.

Oh yes, your answer as to payments on the cruise. You only have to have the downpayment paid at the time of booking. The rest does not have to be paid until approx 90 days away from the cruise date. You CAN make payments or pay it off at anytime that you want to before that time though. Whatever suits you best.

Morning Betsy. I still vote for early dining time but will go with the flow of whatever everyone else wants.

I've been out doing some Christmas shopping this morning. I'd like to get it done and also early in the morning to avoid the crowds. I HATE shopping when there are crowds

Dining option for us - whatever works for the rest of the TKer's - I don't care when I eat.....

Having my first mommogram tomorrow morning - a little scared and hating to admit it DH is going with me for support and as my driver....

and then next week I see the ENT - I have abnormal anatomy in my ears - whatever the heck that means - and a deviated septum (along with 98% of the population)

Lurking and working - I got the cruise date switched and my letter is going to the printers this afternoon!

Tonight is card and wrapping night...lots to do - so I may be scarce until after turkey day! I DO plan to check in periodically!

I think the 2nd dining would be nice, but I agree with Robin - there seems to be too many advantages to the early dining! I'm switched, baby!

Kim - I hope you can make it for the cruise. It wouldn't be the same without you! I'm bummed that tinknutt isn't going...she's a real hoot!

we will be going to WDW for 3-4 nights befor the cruise...We will have a rental and drive ourselves to the Port Canaveral....If anyone is going to be at WDW befor and would like a ride from there to PC..We will have plenty of room ..(we always get a full sized car)....
