Lighthouses are cool but fairly non existant around here.

I saw a nice shirt today though with a bunch of lighthouses on it.

Lighthouses are cool but fairly non existant around here.

I saw a nice shirt today though with a bunch of lighthouses on it.

Brer_Papa's wonderfully creative daughter is making an afgan or is it afghan...aaanyway...she's designing a blanket with lighthouses on it and needs photos...who better to take them than me...ointing thumb at chest:...I've visited some in NC, MD, NJ, and FL...even climbed a few.

There's one in PA if you count Bowman's Tower

It's a landmark near Washington's Crossing State Park. You can climb it and see the view that George Washington had right before he crossed the delaware into Trenton. Almost a lighthouse

There are two in NC that I have not visited but it's a half days drive and a couple ferry rides to get to them from where we stay...no thank you.

Cape Fear is at the southernmost end of the outer banks of NC. If you look at the state on a map, there's a small band of land along the outer coast of the state...that's where I'll be, vacationing. oingtin thumb at chest again:

There is a small lighthouse near here, maybe 1/2 hour - 40 minutes away at the mouth of the Thames River.

I've seen that lots of times but it is nothing really exciting.

yes, it's a nice night, but here it's too hot!! It's supposed to get even hotter tomorrow. 108 degrees and 110 the day after....help I think I'm melting

(brings to mind the wicked witch in Wizard of Oz....melting, melting....ah ah ah)

I was once in Vegas when it was 108 and that was pretty hot.

Felt like 104 here today and that was pretty hot too

Tomorrow it is supposed to be 92 but feel like 106

Anybody want to live in the Great White North with me
