:cheer2: :thewave: :cheer2: :rockband: :cheer2: :jumping1:

Don't mind me, I just realized that my countdown to my next Disney Cruise is finally under 200 days!!!!!!!!!!

HOORAY!!! Still lots of days to count down though ::yes::

/
Brer_Papa can tell a pretty good story too ::yes::

Got any new smilie stories to share with us tonight Brer_Papa??

:eek: I just TODAY booked a 7-day Disney cruise (Magic) for us in November!

:scratchin I suppose I should figure out how to do the countdown clock...although that would mean that I would have to do math to figure out how many days to go! :scared: :teacher: :headache:

cynsaun, just go over to the tech board and you will find a thread on how to put a countdown clock in your signature.

It is really easy (cause I have done it several times ::yes:: ) no math is involved. The program figures it all out for you. :teeth:

There you go......a challenge for you tonight!!

Well...i went to the senior care center and helped get DFIL moved in....he seems ok with it....visited awhile....

then Princess Ariel and I took a hike to Lake City where the volunteer fire department was having their annual bazaar to raise funds...

got some eats..and headed over to listen to the band...where i see an old rocker friend of mine... by name of Ernie....up front playing his Gibson Les Paul...and just finishing "Tears in Heaven"...

he spots me and says Hi...I say Hi back...he ids me about my "loud shrt" and invites me to sit in...so i do....he takes the bass (the bass player got a tambourine" and hands me his Gibson Les Paul..

we do "Brown Eyed Girl"...."Friends in Low Places"...Johny B. Goode"...

Ernie asks me what I've been doing msically...i say the fiddle...but I don't have it with me...but I have been working on learning some new songs...

he says go for it...so I step up and I sing:

Come with me and let's go wander...
Far beyond te wild blue yonder....
out where stars roam free....
though the jourrneys far from breezy...
stick with me I'll make it easy....
you can depend on me....

(chorus)
yeah theres a long road before us...and its a hard road indeed...
but darlin' i swear i'll get us there....
wherever the trail may lead....
(chorus end)

Once we cross that far horizon....
life is bound to be surprisin'....
but we'll take it day by day...
never mind the wind and weather....
if we walk the trail together...
somehow we'll find our way...

~~~Princess Ariel has now handed me my harmonica~~
harmonica interlude with gutar accompaniment....
chorus
Can't tell you when we'll be there....
it may take all our lives
we're headin for that great unknown...
we'll soon be walkin' free there....but til that day arrives.....at last we won't be traveling alone....
and there's a long road before us...
and its a hard road indeed...
but Darlin' don't fear...
cause i'll be right here...
to give you the strength you need...
and through the whole ride....
i'll be by your side....
wherever the trail may lead...
it went well....
how was your evening?
COOL! I did one on the Magic too...
it was fantabulous! Is this your first?
Cruisin' (AHOY! :boat: ) did a cruise on the Wonder if remember right......
we were ships passing in the night i think....but...i did wave :wave:
sounds like you had some nice points and some not so nice things in your night Brer_Papa.
It is hard when older people have to take that step.
I am glad that you met up with your band playing friends and were able to join in. I can just picture you up there playing along.
Nice song you sang!!
My evening was no where near as exciting as yours. I was home all night. Both kids have gone away for the night. My husband is definitely not a night owl. He was in bed by 9:30, so here I sit and DIS and fold laundry.
Actually I have done 5 cruises on the Wonder, 4 3-day cruises and 1 4-day cruise.
In January we are doing a 4 day cruise on the Magic. We have never been on the Magic so it should be an interesting comparison for us.
Yes, I do believe we were ships that passed in the night once weren't we Brer_Papa.!!
Brer, this will be our first Disney cruise, but not our first cruise. My husband and I went on a cruise for New Year's in 98'/99'. I got food poisioning on the second day and then we hit high seas. Needless to say, I was praying to the porcelain God for the rest of the cruise! :rolleyes: I am hoping we have MUCH better luck this time around!
Cruisin, Thanks! As if my head didn't hurt enough already!
:teeth: I'll have to check that out and see if I can make it work!
Wow....that wil be here before you know it...
and there you'll be...sun shining...warm breeze....pina colada at hand...
and here i'll be...butt deep in snow...arctic blast...snowblower at hand....
hmmmm....wanna trade?
uummmmm, Thanks but no thanks Brer_Papa.
I do believe there is still room available on the ship, you and Princess Ariel could come along with us.::yes::
Sounds like the better solution to me :sunny:
cynsaun, I hope you enjoy your Disney Cruise better than your last one. Can you tell that we are addicted????
well...this cruise WILL go much better! Cruisin' will second that i do believe....
now...take this from an old salt like me....even when the chips are down...even when you are praying to the porcelain God...find something to make it better....
like say....singing "yo ho yo ho a pirates lefe for me" down that porcelain gullet....you'd be surprised how fast the adjoining cabins will empty out....
not that i admit anything of course...
