Good morning!

Well, shoot, no exercise for me yesterday. I was going to exercise in the early evening, but DH surprised me by taking me out to see Pirates of the Caribbean! It was great fun, by the way, and I ate only a *few* small handfuls of popcorn. Well, it could have been worse...

It's raining buckets here, so today looks like a great day to get the house really clean - I think I'll count that as some activity, just like Luvinit cleaning out her van! Maybe I'll even tackle our awful closet:o And I'll have to fit in some Tae Bo. I think I'll try my yoga tape again, too. Glad to see I wasn't the only one who found this challenging in the beginning!!!

I've been remembering to celebrate small victories - thanks to you all! You WISHers remind me that ANYTHING I do to keep healthy is worth crowing about! The positive energy I get from reading about all of your successes has been such a boost, too. Thank you, all of you! Keep up the amazing work - everyone is truly on a roll!

I hope to have time to post over the weekend, but we may go camping for a couple of nights, so if I'm not here tomorrow or Sunday, tell me everything on Monday, okay?

So, what did everyone do yesterday? Do tell!

Daisy;)

DAISY - you rock! :) WOW, you got to see Pirates! I really wanna see that. We have a new theater in our area with love seats (well, big comfy seats w/ arms that you can fold up for some snuggle time). I promised myself I could get buttered popcorn when we go see Pirates, so I am trying to hold off a few weeks before we go! ;)

Yesterday I had an easy day - only exercise I did was power walk after dinner with Ross and Jen. I did help my Dad move some of their boxes/garage stuff from our house to their house, but that wasn't really worth counting as exercise as we only did 2 truck loads. I will have a GREAT report tomorrow though!

You can totally count cleaning as exercise, in my book! It's not just good for burning calories, it can be a great mental exercise. I know my life seems to flow alot more smoothly when things are tidied up and put away (need to do that myself). :) Keep celebrating those small victories - they ADD UP over time!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Small celebrations are a wonderful way of keeping a positive focus. Yesturday I went thirty minutes on the treadmill, did my ab crunches and put together my bar-b-que from fathers day finally.:D :D :D So I got to sweat the bad chemicals out of me and replenish them with plenty of water.

I walked a total of 3 miles - by various methods! Don't know if I'm going to be able to do much this weekend - driving down to KY and back. I've already gotten one mile in this morning. Got till noon to get the rest in for today!

45 minutes on the treadmill for me watching part 1 of the Harry Potter movie. I love having that DVD player down there as I'm so distracted by the movie, time flies! :) Besides, I'm getting to watch movies that I haven't seen! :) Netflix and a treadmill...what a great combo!

Going camping this weekend, so no "scheduled" exercising. :)

I did! I'm not jumping quite so high today. After the 5 miles the day before I managed the 3 mile WATP for the abs with the belt then fell on the couch!!!!
I'm givin myself a day off so to speak I'm only planning on the 1 mile tape today and tomorrow. If the rain stops like Tracy I'll be cleaning out that huge thing I call a SUV and the camper for next weeks trip. So I doubt that I'll make it to the boads for the next week. I'll try to check in monday for weigh in but..... Wish me luck in ignoring those s'mores my boys love. (REPEATING I will not steal it I will not steal it.)
See you all in a week.

Count me in!!

I didn't do a lot, but I did get up at 6:00 a.m. for my morning walk. That was only my 2nd day of exercise for the week, so I'm going to have to try to get 2 more days in over the weekend to meet my goal of 4 days this week.

Good job everyone!!

I went to Curves and then spent over 2 hours in the yard planting lillies. A friend has a neighbor who is doing an addition and wanted to get rid of lots and lots of day lillies. Mary & I were over there the other day digging them up in the rain and yesterday I planted them all. Good workout!

But then of course we went out last night for DH's bd to The Outback. :)

Let's see. I cycled to work (10 miles; 540 calories burned) and then cycled home (9.5 miles; 490 calories burned) and then walked with my wife to the Sushi restaurant (2.5 miles; 270 calories burned) and then walked home (2.5 miles; 270 calories burned). Whew!

Today I took it easy, just 45 minutes of The Firm (Parts: Upper Body; 370 calories burned).

I did! I did 20 minutes of pilates and 30 minutes of step with free weights!

I also plan on going to see Pirates of the Carribean this weekend! I am looking forward to it!

  Did they move your work? Or your house? How come it's 10 miles from your house to work, but only 9.5 miles from your work to your house?

I'm sure there is some logical explaination. :)

Aha! I think Brian is trying to see if we are really reading his posts! ;) Perhaps he took a route to work that is .5 mile longer than his return trip? Gosh, I hate when I have to think, especially on Fridays!!! ;) That's my guess as to what he's going to reply anyway.

Hehe. Different routes. Has to do with where the worst pot-holes are. For some reason, the east-bound lane on Rte. 62 in Burlington and Bedford is much worse than the west-bound lane.

Last night I finally got out the WATP dvd I bought (really cheap at factory outlet) and did the 1 mile walk.

My short little (5'3") legs had to really pump to keep up with them, but I did it (and at midnight to boot).

I plan to do it again tonight after little ones go to bed. Hopefully before midnight this time.

I am determined to start exercising. I hope this thread will give me the motivation I need.

Half hr RS Broadway and Curves Workout...wishing I had a machine at home for those sudden bursts of energy...
Have a great weekend all!
