Good morning, everyone!

Whew! It was hot here yesterday - and today is more of the same!!! Yesterday, I made a so-so effort (I admit it :o ) and did two miles of WATP. Well, dang, it was HOT!!!

Today I need the help of all you WISHers - I'm having a hard time convincing myself to WATP today, even though, deep down, I KNOW I SHOULD!

Could you all give me just a little push? I sure could use it! The power of the WISH board is an AWESOME thing!!! :Pinkbounc

Your energy and determination is so inspiring! You're out there making good choices, and you're sticking with it! You rock!!!

So what good choices did you make for activity yesterday? Tell me here, and give me the kick I soooooo need!!!

Thanks, all. You really are the best!

Daisy;)

Well I attempted to do the 2 mile WATP last night but I only made it 1.5 miles. I think I got too ambitious before my body was ready.

The good news is that at least I tried. This makes 2 nights in a row that I have exercised and it feels good (well actually it feels a little sore but that is a good thing, right?) :p .

I worked out at Curves last night. They got a new machine that works the obliques. It was fun to have something new! Boy do my oblique muscles obviously NEED it! LOL! I could feel them REALLY working. :)

I started working out again yesterday. I had started back in January doing the Firm (series of tapes). I hadn't worked out since the end of May. It felt sooooooo good to have done a workout. I just found this board and am getting lots of encouragement reading about others successes and even the problems they are having (I can relate).

I'm trying to watch my diet. I would love to loose 15 lbs. But, I think for me, it's more important right now to get the exercise going and then start looking at my diet. For now, I've decided just to eliminate desserts.

Good Luck everyone!

Lissa

I walked 1 mile and jogged 1 mile yesterday:bounce: :Pinkbounc .That is the 1st time that i have evr in my life been able to jog any at all.I was so proud of myself.

OK a certain little PM buddy of mine told me I had to post here!!! I have gotten out of the habit of doing anything I should be doing!!!! Like staying op and excercising!!! But I got a thigh sizer or master thing at an auction for $3!! THere are 5 excercises shown on the box. I did 20 of each of the left arm, right arm, chest, stomach, upper arm and shoulders and 40 of the thigh!! SO I guess I have at least started again!!

I struggled through Power 90 cardio 3-4 for 40 minutes and then did my ab routine. It has been so hot and humid here, and even though I am inside where it is cool it still zaps my energy..but I knew I had to face the "wish" board so I did it! Great job to those who push themselves to workout, keep up the good work!

ME ME ME

Mowed for 1hr20mins - I think this is good for upper body workout as its a push mower

Walked for 24mins - only did 8x's around the gerbil track but because I needed the time to mow it was becoming dark and I come in when the street lights come on. Last wk neighbors caught an opposum so Im scared of the dark!

Curves for me in the morning, the in the evening, WATP....

For some variety I did the 1 mile WATP routine with weights....when they started to cool down, I started it over. As they warmed up, I kept adding things to keep the intensity up (I didn't want to cool down with their warm up) I added arm work or more vigorous exercises that I remembered from the two mile walk during their warm up. Then I did the regular workout again with weights. Then finally I cooled down with them. I suspect that it ended up being about 2.5 miles. Woo hoo! Felt good!!

Cinderelli! Good to see you! How's your son?

(Let's see if I kill the thread again... LOL!!)

I did! Thanks to you WISHers and my PM buddy. :) I did 30 minutes of Tai Chi and really enjoyed it. I forgot how much I've been enjoying it. How can you forget how much you enjoy something after just 2 days??

Anyway, I'm going to order the next DVD. I'm not quite ready to advance to the next DVD just yet, but since it can take 2 weeks to get here, I should be ready by the time it arrives (now, watch it be in stock and mailed immediately and get here in 3 days. LOL!)

Daisy -- *PUSH* :D I accept your deal/challenge on my other thread. :D You do your WATP tonight, I'll do my Tai Chi. :)

Becka -- don't push it. Do as much as you're able to do now, but everyone starts out slow. Shoot, I started out with nothing more than 5 mintues on an exercise bike, and now it's not uncommon for my routines to last 30 or 45 minutes. :) You'll get there! :D

:bounce: Bricka bracka firecracker, sis boom bah! Daisy, Daisy, rah rah rah!:bounce:

That's my little cheer (stolen from Bugs Bunny) to cheer you on in your quest to exercise a little or a lot EVERY DAY, Daisy!

Yesterday I did my ab routine (was a day off from lifting weights) and then I went rollerblading and actually GOT TO COVER MY WHOLE ROUTE in the sun! Woohoo!!!! That felt GREAT. I was praying for rain come power walking time, but the exercise gods had other plans for me...so I power walked with Ross and Jen for 3.5 miles and felt MUCH happier once it was done! Phew! I guess there is something going around this week with people wanting to put off exercise a little bit! Must be the whole Mars thing...:smooth:

Daisy - You go girl! Get motivated and do those tapes! Remember you will have to check in here tomorrow and let us all know how you did and you won't want to report nothing - that is always my motivation!

Yesterday - I got up early for work (no more hitting the snooze button) and did my 20 minute pilates DVD. I also spent 10 minutes stretching out a bit. Then, in the evening I went on my regular 1 mile walk with my neighbor. I think I need to walk a bit further because the 1 mile no long seems challenging

Way to go to everyone who is exercising!

Jen

I'm in -- you get in too!
Although I didn't do an incredible push, I walked (TM) for 45 min and accomplished 2 miles. I am at least doing something. Once I get this going, I guess I will be picking up the pace so that I can have a better calorie burn. Right now I am still trying to do something almost daily. I am approaching my first week through my goal. Now that I am committed to telling what I am or am not doing I find that I want to report something good. I don’t want to have to “tell on myself” so I am going to keep on keepin’ on. Thanks for your support.

I did - twice! Walked 40 minutes in the morning, then Curves in the evening. Keep on movin'!

Dixie - we've got the oblique machine, too (we've got all 12), and I can feel it working as well. Too bad the machine is so awkward - but at least it works!

I managed to do most of the TaeBo 30 minute workout. I woke up a little late so I had to cut it a bit short. But I still felt good that I didn't say "forgetaboutit" and did what I could! :D

yesterday I did the morning mile and evening mile WATP as well as worked arms.

Happy to say that yesterday I walked 30 min. (1.8 mi.) on the treadmill, rode my bike around the neighborhood for 30 min., and lifted weights. Aching a bit today, but guess that's to be expected. I'm not used to lifting yet.

Hey, everybody, keep on doing what you need to do to be the person you want to be!:) We're in this together!

Yesterday I walked with DH. It was uncomfortable out so we walked inside a shopping mall. We also stopped at TDS & bought Parkhoppers for our Oct trip! :teeth: I'm not sure how far we walked because I didn't have my pedometer, but I was really tired by the time we got home.
Today I was back in the pool & swam 1 mile. Have to get these swims in while I can because the pool closes Sept 1. :( Swimming is doing me so much good I'm going to have to look for someplace to swim during the winter. Our high school pool does have some hrs for lap swimmers, but they are very limited & frequently closed. Most of the health club pools are too small. Maybe the Y, but their hrs are limited, too. I'll probably just walk until after our WDW trip in Oct because it's usually great walking weather here then, & sign up with whoever has the best pool after we get home.

Well there is nothing wrong with being considered "mad" if you are an 80s music fan (which I am!) Good for you! I totally forgot about DANCING, duh....(slaps self on side of head). Your MTV must be quite different from ours. Ours is all "reality" tv shows and a few new videos here and there.

Great idea with the exercise, FEEBEE!! Keep up the great work!
