Good morning, everyone!!!

What a great day! It's the kind of morning that makes me glad to be alive! I actually took yesterday off from exercise - and it was nice! Spent some time checking out workout DVDs on Amazon.com, and think I found a few that look interesting. Belly dancing? Hula workout? Richard Simmons' disco hits? We'll see...

Has everyone seen Bicker's web site? Talk about a BIG accomplishment! Bicker is on the Body As Transportation plan :p and it shows! When I see that kind of change in a person, I think, well dang, I can do it too!!! :Pinkbounc

AND SO CAN YOU! Thank you to all of you WISHers for your support and encouragement every day. You're the best! So write it down here - what did you do yesterday to get active?

Daisy;)

yay!!! i can now officially post to these threads!!! :bounce:

DH and i finally got off of our hind ends and walked for our exercise last night! :) we went for a brisk walk for about 25 minutes around our apartment complex and through the neighboring housing complex. it's not been easy getting my DH out there to do anything, so i feel very proud of myself for getting him out there!

Happy Tuesday, Daisy!

I second your praise for Bicker (and his wife!) They look remarkable and he is a great inspiration!!! :)

Yesterday I did my ab routine and lifted weights (bicep and back). I also went rollerblading on my regular route and found out that I can not run anymore. :( Rats! My knees were telling me that running was not the thing they liked (even while I was rollerblading) so I am going to take heed and not push my luck. However, I did get a copy of Muscle and Fitness Hers last night that gave TONS of praise for rollerblading, so I'm wicked psyched that I have been doing it and that I can continue to enjoy that form of cardio! Woo-hoo!!!! :) It's a blast! I love my rollerblades!

Me! I walked 3 miles, and boy was it humid! :)

I can finally post on threads like this! LOL
I started finally REALLY exercising a couple days ago (today will be my 3rd day in a row- which is like an amazing feat for me LOL) and I've been doing the WATP 2 mile tapes. I will also be walking at the park occasionally with a friend of mine and also doing my stationary bike sometimes. I have to focus on some problem areas of mine (stomach, thighs and calves) because now I'm all super skinny on top but NOT thin on the bottom... not even close. LOL I'm 2 different sizes people attached together at the waist. Not cool. LOL

Anyway, so I did WATP for abs (with resistance belt) yesterday- 2 miles. Haven't worked my way up to 3 miles yet. :)

I was *sooo* tired last night that I didn't feel like doing much, so I only did 1.5 miles on the exercise bike and some misc stretching, mostly associated with playing with the kitties. :)

Well as sad as I feel my grandson and his mom and dad left for their house, I sure will miss the little guy! So instead of using workout tapes I cleaned my house for 3 1/2 hours yesterday! It sure did need it! So that was my workout for the day.

Me I did Daisy. I did a 2 mile watp tape and the firm ab tape! Then i cooked, cleaned and chased four kids for 4 hours does that count?

I did my 1/2 hr workout at Curves last night.

I walked for 40 minutes in the morning, and worked out at Curves after work. Go me!

I didn't have time to do much, but I wanted to do something, so I did 50 crunches and some upper body work with my dumbells. I slacked off too much last week and I need to get back in the groove!

Me!!! Me!!!

I've been exercising but not always getting here to post about it. Seems like that's happening way too much lately.

Sat 8/16 Swam 1 mile.
Sun 8/17 Swam 1 mile
Mon 8/18 Swam 1 mile

All that swimming has gone a long way in getting me through a week where I had a lot of fairly small "strays" off plan with food. Those small strays really do add up when they come too close together, & they reinforce the old bad habits I'm trying to change. I'm happy to say that as of today I'm back on plan again with food as well as exercise. No more "strays" for me!
