After 2+ years of listening to the podcast, I've come to the realization that Pete needs to write a book or 2. I know, I know, he's got a lot on his plate with the business, podcast, and wedding to plan but I can see at least 2 books that he could (should) write that I would pre-order.

The first would be an autobiography. Troubled man goes to WDW, turns his life around, starts a successful travel company, popular web site, fantastic podcast, and becomes adored by thousands. (this is the highly abridged synopsys)

Second book is about WDW itself and his rants. The thing about Pete's rants is they aren't anti-Disney, but his plea to them to make it better like he, and we, know they can be. I can see this one called "You Must Fire The Cleaning Lady In Order To Clean Up This Place".

Let me know what you think, would you be interested in either or both of these books?

At first I thought you were joking and then I thought you might actually be on to something. Especially Pete's story. It is amazing what Disney can mean to some peoples lives. Pete's story is an amazing one. Also the book about what Disney needs to do to fix things could be interesting.

Maybe he could talk to Lee's publisher. He could hire someone to write the actual book for him. He could just sit and talk to an author and have him ghost the actual book.

Now if Pete does this do you get to pick a number from the prize matron since you suggested it? :lmao:

I love the idea!!!!!!!!!!:cheer2:

There's only been a few people I've come across that I thought they should write down their life's story and Pete is definitely one of them. And with the issues Pete has faced and overcome I know he could help/encourage a lot of people.

Give it a try Pete!

I think it is a great idea. The only suggestion I would have is for Pete to be the narrator for the audio books.

I would read it. This is a great idea. I agree you get to pick a number if this follows through.

Yes, I would read Pete's book.

That being said, I think one of Pete's greatest strengths is his voice and intonation. If you read anything he's written (Bob's eulogy, the rant about Gay Days), try and read it without hearing his voice.

Impossible.

I had the kind of same thought process. My first thought was, "Pete barely has time to breath as it is; how in the world could be possibly write not one, but two books?" But you know, he really, really does have a great story to tell for the first one, and I know that it would sell gazillions of copies. It's like the way you evaluate collectables - how many markets might be interested? For this, you'd have Disney folks, but also travel industry folks, folks in recovery, GLBT folks, and the enormous Pete fan club :love1:, Dis fan club :disrocks:, and the other associated fan clubs like the Kevin:love1: and John the Genius fan clubs:love1:, and the Teresa fan club, the Corey fan club...(ok, you get the point)!

The second book, wow, now that one I would love to have him write but I think it would take him longer. He'd want to make sure it was perfect, I bet, and that it included so much that Disney could improve that I don't know if he'd ever get it finished. Not because Disney has so much to improve but because Pete is very customer oriented. He obviously knows how to cater to the customer/fan base. But still, I will wait in line for my copy just the same! :crowded::crowded::crowded:

I also think that the second book would be a good candidate to be 'ghost' authored. That first book I think Pete should be the author, in his own inimitable words. It just wouldn't be his story any other way.

Pete narrating the audio books would be awesome!!!!:thumbsup2
Oh, yeah!! :worship:

Agree 110% :cutie:
