I can enjoy the political threads, but sometimes I get frustrated and try to stay away for a while, but then I see a title and get riled up and jump in to read. Out of sight, out of mind might help me.

Yes- I see some of the titles, then can't help but start reading. They rile me up, but I resist posting. I feel that the posts are great for those into debate and political discussion, but it isn't for me. I feel that noone is going to have their mind changed by all the bashing and name-calling. Kind of non-productive, IMO.

But for people that like to chat/read about politics- go for it! It would be nice to resurrect the Debate Board for the purpose, though.

Absolutely, I'd love one! Sometimes I avoid those threads, sometimes I start them, sometimes I look for them.....be nice to have everything nice and tidy so depending on my mood, I could choose which board to visit!

Yes! Pretty please can we have an election board
for just 3 months? We can rehash the results for a week

Let me just say that I don't miss the debate board -- I posted on it but I really got an unpleasant feeling from a lot of it.

I would so that all the people who are interested in political topics, can chat and write what they want. And it would be easier for them to access the topics. I would only keep it up till the election is over.

I don't really like the politics threads because they can easily turn into fights. If there was a whole board dedicated to them, it might get ugly. I definitely wouldn't visit the board.

Actually, I'm with j in that I like having it all in one place. Besides, if you can wade through the muck (and yes, I'm as guilty of that as anyone) there is actually quite a bit of meat on those bones...Non-political people might just learn a thing or two about the candidates.

Hey, I was just going for balance...Between my bouncing all the pro-Bush stuff, and your blasting anything pro-Kerry, I figured that would pretty much eliminate the need for a board, since virtually every post would be deleted anyway
