Who else woke up to this today???

We have about 5 inches on the ground, and it is coming down fast. I didn't go to work today, I am going to stay home and book our next cruise. The kids love the snow and have been out since 7:30 a.m. I do not like the cold, I am staying in probably drying wet clothes every hour.

No doubt...it is beautiful to look at and I used to be an avid skier....but since cruising came into my life I think I like to be warm instead of cold!! Plus, my DD17 who is strong as an ox and usually shovels for me is on a school trip in Florida this week. Hubby is working so that leaves me and DD14 to shovel the long driveway....time for some hot chocolate!!!

WOW...what a pretty picture!! :) I am a floridian and I have never seen snow!!! So for me it's a nice pic!! I know it must be awful to have to actually go out in it!!!

DS is livid! His school is the only one in the county that is on today! Even preschool is closed so I have the day off. This has been the snowiest and coldest winter that I can recall. I hope they don't have early dissmissal, I'd rather the roads clear up some before I have to go get him, it was pretty hairy driving him in this morning. They are expecting another storm late sunday early monday-at this rate school will be in session into July :)

Boy it's 82 degrees warmer at CC than here! That does not include the windchill factor. Kids are home sick..yes it's time to call my TA....

I HATE this weather!!!! Sorry I had to say that. We have about 6 inches and the kids are home from school.UGH Get me to the Carribean quickly:) :)

I am hoping the kids will be out of school by our July 5th cruise.

We exausted our last snow day back in December! The school committee allows for four snow days and they are long gone. Maybe that is why he is in school today (and it is really comming down :( ) They are so far getting our three days late and if monday is a snowday that will make number four .

Well its 95 degrees warmer at CC then here! We woke up to 13 below and windchills of 35 below. Thank goodness we are leaving fo the Wonder tomorrow! I told my hubby if we do not dock at CC they will be tendering me to my hammock!

Well I woke up to low clouds and a temperature of 58. I can live with this! Still can't wait until my trip to the magic.
Matt

I'd rather see the snow in pictures, than out my window:(

New York City schools never close, in fact we don't even have days set aside as "snow days" so my poor DS is in school right now. Thank God for the school bus, because I hate to drive in this.

On the brighter side, I am glad I don't live where some of you live with sub zero temps.

MJ - I live just west of you and let me tell you, the drive down the Palisades was not fun this morning. But then I get into work and look at the picture of the Disney Magic docked at CC that's in my signature, which is also on my desktop and I can day drem I'm there all day :p

gometros.....the Palisades can be a nightmare!!! We are at exit 5 and in weather like this there are always problems.

I was in your neck of the woods just yesterday....my sis used to life in Suffern and now lives in Montebello!!

I was really counting on today being the day that FedEx brought my docs, but I guess I'll have to scratch that hope!

I am the yearbook chair (committee of one) for my DD8's elementary school, and the project is at a stall for now, but will be hectic the weeks before our 3/16 cruise.

I decided yesterday to start planning my clothes and ironing the hanging items, so that is done! Today, I may inventory my toiletry bag and refill items from that and maybe get the "little things" (hats, sunglasses, etc.) organized. What a better way to spend a snow day, than getting things ready for a cruise! :bounce:

We had a lovely sunny morning with a temp of 18 degrees. Last week it was beautiful and in the mid 50's. I just don't get it!

On the bright side - only 50 days to go! I'm arranging my work load so that nothing should be going on while I'm gone. I was planning on doing to the internet package so I could check in at work during the cruise....but then I thought - WHY? It's not like I can do anything from onboard the ship!

Oh, and I'm going shopping tomorrow for shorts and maybe a new swimsuit! Probably won't be any swim suits out yet - but I'm going to look anyway!

We were at the BWV's for a week then on the member cruise. We came back last night :( Snow started after midnight here in Massachusetts and so far we have almost 5 inches!!! and no sign of when its stopping. Yesterday was the "anniversary" of the Blizzard of 78   Now whats even more depressing is I'm unpacking bathing suits :( and doing laundry!!  but in between I've been checking out pts to book another cruise! Keep warm everyone! Kim

It started snowing here in NJ around 9pm Thursday night. It just ended about 1/2 hour ago. We have nearly 8 inches that I have to go shovel out of my driveway. School was canceled today, and I took a vacation day, I'm so glad I get 28 vacation days a year. I don't like working in the snow, I fell last year down someone's front steps and hurt my back while reading the meters.
I like the temps about 75, and a light breeze blowing. Guess I have to wait a few more months for that, LOL.
Time to get the shovel and salt out, be back on the boards sometime later today.
