Who Else Will Be Boycotting Days of Our Lives???

I know I've said this before, but this is really the last straw!!! By now I'm sure all the fans know that Alice is supposedly the next to die. How can JERk do this to her and to us??? Not only that, how could Francis Reed agree to do something like this??? I guess she has her reason and is trusting in JERk. I wish I could be as trusting as all the other actors on the show seem to be. I guess the good that will come out of this is, from what I've read, Alice will actually tell somebody that Marlena is the killer. I just hope that it actually comes out, "Marlena is the salem serial killer!" instead of just saying, "Marlena!" or something so vague that she can explain her way out of it.

This is really making me mad. I know the whole thing has been making me mad, but how can he have the nerve to kill off Alice??? I'm telling you, he's pushing it too far this time. You know that there's bound to be some pyscho Days fan out there that's going to snap and find out where JERk lives and then he's going to end up being a victim.

I gave up on Days long ago. I just got bored with how slow it moves. I used to joke and say "Like tar through a garden hose, so are the days of our lives".

I too am very upset that Grandma Horton is rumored to be the next to go. This plot better end up being something that all the killed off characters end up coming back or I'm done with Days!
If this is the way that Frances Reid truely leaves DOOL, than I think it's pathetic and I'll join in on the boycot!

Man, I have NEVER seen this show, but it sure sounds very far fetched. So would I be boycotting if I don't watch it now, or not because I never have? Or should I start? It all sounds so serious.

When they re-hired that sick, perverted misogynist JER, I knew the end was near. Just didn't think it would be quite this bad.

I barely watch it on tape these days, and I have been watching Days since it first aired in the 60s--I was a toddler and Mom was a fan.

Days fans take their show VERY seriously. I've been watching this show for as long as I can remember. Tom and Alice felt like MY grandparents. When Tom died, everyone cried...but the actor that played him died in real life so there was nothing we could do about that. But to actually kill off the last remaining original cast member is just wrong and cruel...and, yes, I take that very seriously. I grew up with this soap and those people are like my family members. It's sad to see them all being killed off

This is SOOO SO SO true. I have been watching since I was born. My grandmother watched, and then my 3 aunts, then my mother, I can remember being tiny in diapers watching with one of them. When my mom was home I watched with her. When I was at my grandmas I watched with her, and same with my aunts. My best friend and I watched when I was a teenager. My family has days of our lives books. However for the past few months I haven't watched. I'm not really boycotting. I'm just so uninterested that I don't even bother to turn it on. I can't stand that they killed off all of these people that I feel I kindof *grew up* with. I can't stand that it seems all that will be left when the whole fiasco is over will be the teeny boppers. And then the show will end up just like passions. UGH. it's kindof sad to me, as I'm sure it is to most days fans.

I have watched DAYS since I was a tot, but I have not watched it in six months. It has been so lame lately, I'm bored to tears. They always have Marlena doing freaky stuff. Remember when she was posessed? I really hope Alice does not leave the show that way. She should die peacefully, like Tom did. What does JER mean?

OK, devil's advocate time...
what if Frances Reid WANTS to leave the show, like Mickey? Do you think they would recast? heavens no. Do you think they would just fire her and never mention it, like GH got rid of Lila recently? No drama there. I think perhaps she is getting old and a little tired of all this (come on, watch her, she's not on that often and she isn't what she used to be, I'm not trying to insult her just be realistic, she has to be over 80!) and the producers agreed with her and suggested she be a victim. You don't think they would dare do anything she didn't WANT to do, do you? I bet if she is next, she agreed to it just so she can get some rest!
BTW I find the show interesting but it is only a show, like all TV shows. It's worth talking about sometimes but not getting my blood pressure up.

Umm...because there were no spoilers. In yesterday's show Marlena stabbed the heck out of a bunch of pillows sleeping in Alice's bed because she thought it was her sleeping there. So I think everyone's 100% sure that Marlena is trying to kill Alice now.

I know Francis wants to leave...they wouldn't be getting rid of her if she didn't. I heard she had a lifetime contract with the show. But they couldn't have her just like retire and move to Florida or something I just don't understand why it has to be like this. It's going to be very tramatic for life-long watchers to watch literally the mother of this soap opera be killed by some psycho serial killer. Why doesn't Marlena just leave her alone??? She can just tell herself that no one will believe her and she'll just look like a crazy old lady. Then everyone will be much happier

I DID hear Francis Reed wanted to retire, but why loose a cast member like her to a murder?!?!?!?!? It seems they could handle this far better than that if they wanted to. I too have watched since the show first aired, when I was in high school. One of the reasons I always loved this one is because it was the only "gentle" soap opera. Boy what a change!!!! I quit watching back when JERK was the writter last time and did the Marlena possessed story. Seems this guy has no imagination at all and is just repeating his last failure.

Grandma Horton is still ALIVE? She was supposed to be pretty old 20 years ago when I watched (I mean, she was a GREAT grandmother then). Soap operas amaze me, in that the young people age SUPER quickly...the years just fly by ... and the older people are forever the same age...wierd. What age are they portraying her as?

She has got to be at least a great-great grandmother by now right? Who the heck is going to murder a really old woman?
