I've gotta tell you, if Jordan Barron from Showbiz Moms and Dads was MY kid, I would've smacked her for the way she talks. Can you BELIEVE she called her mother a b****??? If I EVER talked to MY mother like that, I'd be dead.

Shane Klingensmith still can't sing. Or dance. His mom is insane.

I'm too tired to post more right now...will do so in the morning :)

Darn! I keep missing this show.
This airs on Bravo right?

I can't believe these families!! The little Jordan is still the most normal one. I thought that pagent judge hit it right on the nose when he described Emily Tye as being too coached, and I think he used the word "robotic" to describe her movements. Hopefully her mom will figure it out. The bigger Jordon wouldn't last 2 minutes in my house:rolleyes: Shane's mother is just dillusional, and as far as the Nutters:crazy: , well, the father any way. I can't wait to se the update show tonight!

Missed it (Colonial House on PBS). But I can say that the girl Jordan definitely is a smart aleck (didn't Heidi Fleiss say the same thing to her?). There's only one "normal" family there and it's the other Jordan and her mom.

Is Jordan Barron's mom too insecure with herself that she is more concerned with whether or not her daughter likes her as a person? She is making a huge mistake by not giving her proper parental discipline and guidance. She should have made her go to CO with her. The things she lets her get away with and say - unbelieveable.... I can just see that Jordan is heading for trouble. :sad2:

For those that missed it - it's going to be replayed tonight at 8 with "the aftermath" at 9pm. :)

Forget Jordan - I wanted to smach her MOTHER. Her Mother IS a doormat...she needs to learn that SHE is the adult in there and to NOT let a 14 year old CHILD tell her what to do.

I loved how that Savage woman (the agent) said that Jordan needs a total makeover - hair/makeup/clothes. hehehe...guess she isn't all what she thought she was! I'll be REALLY curious to see how they respond to this tonight during 'the aftermath'.

The Tyes...well...Emily DID look VERY cute at that pageant last night...very much like a 4 year old should look! (no makeup/pageant hair.) But the mother is still a psycho IMO.

Nutters...GO BACK TO VERMONT!!! 'nuff said. However, I do have to say this...for all the crap that the father does - the family DOES seem to have fun together. I dunno if it's just for the cameras or what...but they seem to be a close/happy family.

The Mosely's (the other Jordan)...still - the most well adjusted.

Klingensmiths - first of all - shorten your damn name to fit on a marquee...ever hear of a stage name? when he was singing in back of that truck at the car dealership my DH (who was in another room) yells over "Who is murdering that song?" heheh

The mother is just a psycho nut case...really...I can't WAIT until tonight...I really want to go look at one of her condo/timeshare deals just to see if she's that psycho in person!

There's another one on tonight...the aftermath.

The older Jordan is totally self-involved and I can't stand how she was never prepared for her auditions. As for the behavior, I have definitely seen some of that around here from my dd who's turning 12  next month.

I just don't get the pagent thing, you are "performing" before paid judges and other mothers. What is the point?!?!

Can't wait for the follow up show tonight. My kids also love watching this show. They too think that Shane can't sing, that the older Jordan is rude and the Nutter father is nuts. They love little Emily but also feel sorry for her, especially after her mother had her tanned and when she was yelled at in the toy store for not acting like a 4 year old. My oldest DD said, "But Mommy, she is acting like a 4 year old." I wonder what these parents think of themselves after seeing this show.

Stepharoonie -

You hit the nail on the head. I can't imagine speaking to my mother that way. Just rolling my eyes at her got me banished to my room. Imagine last week the mom was crying because Heidi Fliest (sp?) called Jordan a smart ***. She's that and a whole lot more. I also can't believe the mom left w/o Jordan. There's no way I'd move and leave my 14 yo unless it was for a VERY good reason and she was in good hands.

Shane has got to be the worst performer. We'll be in Las Vegas next month - I have about as much talent as he does maybe I should try to get booked somewhere  .

I also can't get over the amount of $$ the Tye family spends on those pagents. If they'd just invest it their kids would have a good start in life. The brother made me laugh though.

The Nutter family - they are just enabling the Dad to control them. Stand up to him and go back to Vermont.

and for the record - I called my mom a B**** one morning and I went to school with a fat lip. Yep - she smacked me...(I had braces at the time - that's why my face got swollen.)

my teachers asked what happened to me...I told them my mom smacked me and WHY...they laughed and said "sorry kid - you deserved it" (and I did...)

now - you smack a kid and you end up being labeled a bad parent!

But - to be fair to Jordan...the whole reason she doesn't want to live with her mother is because of "mom's new boyfriend"...I feel bad that her homelife is so broken...could be the reason for the rebellion?

but that's not to say that all children from a "broken" family turns out like this!! I don't mean to start anything about it...I just noticed that Jordan really wanted nothing to do with "dave"

I''m so glad I have all of you 'friends' to 'talk' to about this show. My DBF thinks I'm crazy for watching it ;)

I agree that older Jordan does not really have a future...she is too much of a smart alec and she doesn't really seem to have the look or much strong talent. She sounds way to much like a middle school play.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE little Jordan and her mother. Through all the madness, they seem to have such a SWEET relationship and her mother seems to keep her really down to earth. They just make me SMILE :)

Emily is awfully cute, but I feel so bad for her. She is sooo mechanical, and I said the same thing a previous poster's child said "she IS acting like a 4 year old!" Her mother, with those hand and arm motions to get her to do things, she looks like a dog trainer..I do a pretty good impression ;)

Shane CAN NOT sing. I feel bad because he and his mom together have a fairly sweet relationship- what other boy that age would hug and kiss his mom on TV and say he loves her all the time. I think after his accident his mom wanted to grasp every opportunity she had with him and now she is going WAY overboard and giving him a false sense of hope that he is really good. It says she used to be a dance teacher, but I am a dance teacher, and her moves and the way she taught the girls... well, the performance spoke for itself.

The Nutters name speaks for itself !
:jester:

OK, I'm done :)

What is with Shane's backup dancers anyway? That adds a whole other bizarre element to his performances, I think. I mean, he's bad enough, but the backup dancers stink, too!

You're right about that. I think she recruited them from outside the 7-11  . It's really sad that they all think they're so good. Life is going to slap them in the face one day very soon.

BTW, I didn't see the 1st show - what accident did Shane have?

Okay, now that I'm awake, here are my thoughts:

Jordan Mosely is a wonderful little girl. I really wish her and her mother the best that the world can give, because they deserve it. They supported each other, they loved each other, and they were always there for each other.

The Nutters....I hope they moved back to Vermont. You can clearly see that Duncan Nutter is in this for himself. I mean, he even told the TV producer last night just to give him a television family and let him have his own show. It's such a shame that they had to sacrifice everything for him to live out HIS "dream". His wife IS the only breadwinner for the family. Tearing tickets at a broadway show doesn't pay a whole lot, I bet.

Emily Tye is the cutest little thing, but she's going to grow up hating her mother. Her mom DOES push her into way too much. There were times that Emily acted much more mature than a 4 year old, and I felt that really wasn't right. I think she's trying to live through her daughter.

Jordan Barron DOES need to be smacked. I really felt like smacking the tv screen! All of the agents who felt she wasn't talented enough were right. I'm not sure if her mom is really trying to live through her or not, but if Madison ever disrespected me like that, I would NOT be a happy camper. IMHO, her mom should have made her move with her to CO. I'm not sure exactly WHY Jordan doesn't want to move out there, but I'm thinking she feels she a movie star of some sort.

Shane Klingensmith. Ahhh. It's interesting to know he's from this part of town. I mean, I literally live right around the corner from where he lives. I'm sooo tempted to go to his mom's timeshare and see if she'll give me an autographed photo. I was really wondering how in the world Shane was able to get "booked" into Vegas...well, now we know. His grandpa's friend. Hey, maybe if I talk to my cousin at Mandalay Bay, she could put me on the billboard and let ME sing! Sheesh. His mom is truly a nut. She's a stage mom all the way. And if she's really an old dance teacher...excuse me, but she sucks. Those girls were kinda scary to watch. NONE of them were doing the same dance at the same time. Shane is sadly tone deaf, and can't dance a lick. I wonder if Shane's mom paid for all of the girls to go to Vegas, or if their families had to?

Then again, I wonder...it looked like there was 20 people in "Gilly's" watching Shane. Do you think they were all of those girl's families??? If not, did Shane's mom let the girls stay in a room by themselves?

I wish I'd seen the Oprah special. Drats!

I think he was hit by a car. He was in a full body cast for awhile.

One other thought about Shane's mom...did anyone else notice how she was eating up that attention when they called her up onstage at Gilly's? Stage mom. Yup.

I completely forgot about this last night! Glad to hear I'll be able to catch it tonight.

ps. off topic - stepharoonie - what did you and db do last night at epcot?

Oh where to start!

The little Jordan is cute, but DH and I were both concerned about her having a hard time at school and then not starting homework until 9pm! I think she and her mom do have a good relationship NOW, but with her mom wanting her own show I can see Jordan getting pushed to the side more and having more issues with school.

The Nutters, yeah they look like a happy bunch. They need to go back to Vermont - with or without Dad. Listening to him when they were supposed to have fun bowling made me want to smack the crud out of him!

Emily - DH turned to me at one point and asked if a 4 year old was really asking to go back and take a nap! Her mom is waaaaaaaaay too pushy and it's a shame that she's not getting a chance to be a normal kid!

Shane - ok, I forgot him. I think I was trying to get that horrible singing out of my mind!! WTH is that?!?! And his mom???? Holy cow!!! I don't even know where to start with them, aside from the mute button!

The older Jordan - yes she has an attitude problem, but if my mom treated me the way hers did I'd have one too. She didn't know her mom was dating someone until the DAY before they got married?!?!?! And then she's supposed to drop everything and move to another state following her mom to be with a new step-dad that she's never really been around. Nuh-uh, DHs comment was if she was 25 it's one thing, but at 14 you don't just show up going this is my fiance we're getting married tomorrow, deal with it! I'd be one pissed off kid too. Her mom is an unstable parent at best and the step-dad, I don't know, there's something about him that creeps me out.

Oh yeah! LOL...I forgot to say anything :)

He wanted to go mainly to look at the Flower and Garden Show...and we ate in China. :) The flowers were GORGEOUS! When you first enter the park, right in front of Spaceship Earth was this HUGE topiary with Tinkerbell on top of it. When we were leaving, she lit up.

We rode Spaceship Earth, Test Track, The Land, Malestrom in Norway and watched Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.

He played a mean joke on me telling me that the best soda at the Ice Station Cool was the "Beverly" soda from India :crazy2: I've tasted NYQUIL that tasted better than that one! BLECCHHH!!

Other than that, we just walked around the park looking at things, sharing memories. His first job at Disney was at the Odyessy at Epcot. :)

The only thing is, I wonder how much of that is a lie from Jordan. She doesn't seem to be an overly trustworthy kid, to be honest with you. She kept telling people she had studied her lines, etc. when in reality she was just laying around watching tv. A lot of that attitude may be her age, a lot of it may be her "diva" side.
